Chris has my immense respect for trying something different with voicing Optimus like what Garry Chalk, David Kaye, and Alan Tudyk did of the past few projects they voiced Optimus in. That middle finger joke was unexpectedly funny to me like the use of badass in the past trailers, too, which makes me happy this movie may have more of an adult or just PG-13 edge to it some companies are too worried to making animated films be like, if you get what I mean.
Considering what happened last time on the bumblebee movie, that was refreshing to hear. Nice to hear his process behind his new Orion pax in to Optimus Prime.

I think it'd make even more people confused about which continuity TF One is part of. Dylan O'Brien voiced Bee (not for long, but still) in Bumblebee (Knightverse), while TF One is a new continuity. People are already mega confused, thinking its a prequel to either the Bayformers or the Knightverse, so using the same voice actors would just make it even more confusing.
Whatever, just go take your elitism for Dylan O'Brien somewhere else already and leave decent human being Transfomers fans like me and my enjoyment for TF ONE alone. Besides, don't forget, I was always a Unicron Trilogy,Beast Wars,Animated,RID 2001, and Rescue Bots Transformers fan first before I forced myself to watch that precious Bumblebee movie that elitists like you love so much. This is before the war starts and they’re a lot younger so it makes sense to have different actors. Maybe later on in a future movie that could happen.
Its never just been Frank Welker though there has been plenty of other good voice actors for Megatron like the TFA cartoon and plenty of different Megatrons over the years. I prefer it over the Earthspark version, I think that one's voice actor has an accent he can't really hide all that well and it makes Megatron sound like he's got a full mouth.

Seen the movie. The trailers and art style did it dirty. Movie was great and when Orian becomes Optimist prime at the end of the movie. It felt right.
