I tried to apologize and he just said it was ok and he understood!

That's why his take on the character has endured for 40 years, why it has stuck in the hearts of almost all who have watched it, and why any attempts to follow in his stead have simply never worked as well. Even when the material is weak, he elevates it and makes it worth watching.

To be honest, Peter deserved to get this award a lot sooner. He's done such a great job with his many voice roles and deserves to take a break from voice acting if he wants to. I will say this though, it will be a real tragity when Peter passes away and is no longer with us. He is such a great guy and has one of the best voices I've ever heard. I bet he could make almost anything sound really interesting if he talked about it in the right way. I can't wait to see what else Peter will do in future roles as Optimus and possibly other characters from different media groups. I've heard Peter say "I, am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots" more times than I can count and each times it brings me back to that 8 year old watching TFs on tv for the first time, only this time with a tear in my eye because you know the true meaning behind the voice.
Growing up without a father, Optimus Prime was, in a sense, a father figure. A lot of people may think it's silly, but Peter Cullen created a character that shaped my termperament and demeanor. Much love to Peter Cullen!

I met him for an autograph last saturday. Im a 47f and within two seconds of his presence, he made me feel like i had a grandfather again. He held my hands and told me never to give up. There is no kinder human being on this earth in my opinion. Except maybe his wife....

I was indeed fortunate to had seen the premiere of the G1 Series when I was a little kid, and since then I have been an undying fan, especially of Optimus Prime. His inspiration being based on a real person and even more on Peter Cullen's brother just gives so much meaning to such an iconic and irreplaceable character and his voice actor. Thank-you Frank for your tribute to Peter Cullen. To Peter Cullen, I am 54 yrs old, I can remember hearing your voice on Winnie the Pooh, and then later on in Transformers. Even though I was a teen when I watched and listened to Transformers in the 1980s. There was always something special about listening and watching Optimus Prime. Optimus has always shown the traits that I honor the most. Honor, respect, courage, wisdom, and compassion. So Optimus became my hero at a young age. And even at 54, I still have the utmost respect for Optimus. There is something in a voice that says a lot. Thank you Peter for being one of my roll models when I was growing up. To be honest, Peter deserved to get this award a lot sooner. He's done such a great job with his many voice roles and deserves to take a break from voice acting if he wants to. I will say this though, it will be a real tragity when Peter passes away and is no longer with us. He is such a great guy and has one of the best voices I've ever heard. I bet he could make almost anything sound really interesting if he talked about it in the right way. I can't wait to see what else Peter will do in future roles as Optimus and possibly other characters from different media groups. Congratulations Peter, you should have gotten this award a lot sooner because of your great and wonderful work. I wish you the best of luck and safety.

I'm a Transformers fan, ever since I was a kid, Optimus Prime is my favorite Autobot, & Peter Cullen is my new favorite Canadian Actor & Voice Actor.
I've heard Peter say "I, am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots" more times than I can count and each times it brings me back to that 8 year old watching TFs on tv for the first time, only this time with a tear in my eye because you know the true meaning behind the voice.

I met him for an autograph last saturday. Im a 47f and within two seconds of his presence, he made me feel like i had a grandfather again. He held my hands and told me never to give up. There is no kinder human being on this earth in my opinion. Except maybe his wife....
I haven't been able to meet him he always goes to giant cons etc that are so far away I want to meet him no I need to meet him he saved my life from depression and suicide

I was indeed fortunate to had seen the premiere of the G1 Series when I was a little kid, and since then I have been an undying fan, especially of Optimus Prime. His inspiration being based on a real person and even more on Peter Cullen's brother just gives so much meaning to such an iconic and irreplaceable character and his voice actor. This was a long time coming for Peter Cullen and I am glad his long time friend and Character rival to have been together on this for so long. We Roll out with you on your continued dedication Peter "Optimus Prime" Cullen, All as One.

Thank-you Frank for your tribute to Peter Cullen. To Peter Cullen, I am 54 yrs old, I can remember hearing your voice on Winnie the Pooh, and then later on in Transformers. Even though I was a teen when I watched and listened to Transformers in the 1980s. There was always something special about listening and watching Optimus Prime. Optimus has always shown the traits that I honor the most. Honor, respect, courage, wisdom, and compassion. So Optimus became my hero at a young age. And even at 54, I still have the utmost respect for Optimus. There is something in a voice that says a lot. Thank you Peter for being one of my roll models when I was growing up. And thankyou Larry Cullen for your service and also offering your wisdom to Peter. We may never had heard your voice in public, but in many ways I feel as though we have heard your words thru Optimus. God Bless you Larry and Peter. I still at this age have the utmost respect for you both. I am very grateful to be able to see and hear Optimus Primes voice in any of the modern movies and shows like Transformers Prime.
