My dad bought me that sewing machine in 2013 for my 12th birthday, and today is 2022, I'm 21, never learned how to use it, because I had no one to teach me. It's brand new sitting in the garage to this day, untouched. After this video, I'm going to finally pull it out and give it a try.
Gurl it's 2024, did you break that thing out yet?? Go make yourself an apron, pillow case cover or mini skirt, something!! If I can sew, so can you!!! :) good luck it's so easy, tons of videos to help you!
I’ve had this machine for a few years with zero luck on anything other than simple mending. Just going to learn it and you’re my first video - thank you so much
Thank you so much! I bought this machine some years ago, and didn't know it has an automatic threader. (I never read the manuals😅) I'm sure this will become my favorite feature too.
I've never heard of sewing paper!! I have a project runway lb-6800 I got it like 4 years but I just started to sew like 4 months ago and I'm always interested in other people who have Brothers because usually it's Singers!! I'd love lessons but there is alot of knowledge on here!! ThankYou so much for sharing!!🥰
I bought this machine to make garb and items for the Rennaisance Festival, for me and my friends and family. I've sewn everything from velvet to thin leather on it. Definitely a good buy.
Nice decorative stitches in Brother's Project Runway sewing machine. I sew on a very old-school & rugged PFAFF. Even from back in the mid-fifties, when manufacturered, it sews near embroidery-like stitches. The only difference is that the stitch selection must be dialed in, using a specific number combination. The set combination dialed in then produces the desired decorative stitch pattern. Quite impressive!
It took me a few tries but I final got it. . It has to be line up with the hole in the needle. I finally got that right. I guess the more we try the better we get. I am still learning too.
Super cool!! You may have 99 problems but a stitch ain’t one!! Lol 😂 I literally have 8 different machines lol yes 8 lol it’s crazy!!! Two are embroidery machines though but it’s been so long that I can’t remember how to use them lol 😂 well thank God for RUclips!!! I need a refresher coarse lol 😂 Tfs xoxo 😘
I just unboxed this machine a few days ago and I'm having a lot of fun. I have an embroidery machine as well that's more high tech but I really just want to use that one for embroidery. When I switch too much from embroidery to sewing on that one it starts to be a total STITCH. The lettering is super cute AND it has some stitches my big embroidery machine doesn't have. I recommend it.
I just ordered this one. Had the brother cs7000i, but broke after trying to backstitch. Had to send back. Looking forward to this one. Praying for better luck. Wish it was quieter like the 7000i, and I paid more for it on Amazon, due to demand. Birthday present for me too! Every machine on Brothers site is sold out!
Most helpful video.. just bought a lightly used one of these at the pawn shop. Have to wait for the replacement spool caps from Amazon but super excited. Thanks again for sharing all of this!!
Hi I am really happy I learnt the automatic thread I tried it and I got it at the first try thanks to your video you have a new subscriber hope to learn new things on your videos... I just want to learn more because I just mend things and I have a machine exactly like these one... Thank you
That is the same sewing machine I own. I've had mine for a few years. I use to be a fashion designer, like your mom I can make and sew anything. Great idea to share with others who may be interested and wanting to sew. Blessings
That looks like a great machine. I have a Janome sewing machine and a Janome embroidery machine they are both great but I haven't used either of them for over a year. I must get back using them again. Tfs.
Erica!!! Thank you so much for the demo! I hope you are planning to do more sewing type of videos! Please. I’m totally new and yesterday I got a brand new sewing machine and just sitting above and ... so now what?! Thank you so much for sharing this
Erica Erica yay yay ✨ - I have this exact machine since 2 years ago and I tried using the automatic threader but your video is so clear - I got it right away yay yay ✨ ty so much for sharing 🤗❤️🌸
The thread should go through the metal thread guide on the shank before being threaded through the needle. I noticed you skipped that when doing the auto thread demo.
Thank you so much for your detailed guide on how to thread this machine! I've taken a class and watched different videos without luck. You helped me to do it!
Btw there is a blade on the side that cuts the thread for you I noticed you’re using scissors when all you have to do is hold it against the side and it snips it for you hope that helps
Love your video and always wanted a demo of sewing machine sewing cards. Thanks for the demo. The same with me had some birthday wanted money wanted a used sewing for crafting. My husband went to Costco the. Brothers XR3340 was on sale many stitches I got that one a few days ago. Also, the one you have is on EBay use several for $50.00 plus shipping that I considered buying. The Costco return you cannot beat plus it was on sale and my husband add some money but both machines look the same and has many stitches. Love your show can you do a video sewing on cards. Keep up the good work you are one videos I love watching... Blessings!
What can't you do lady? My MIL bought me a sewing machine about six years ago and I still don't know how to use it. Then I got the WRMK one for Christmas... still haven't used it. You should make a swatch of all the stitches from your machine. TFS. Xoxo, Denessa
Love your new sewing machine! Super cute stitches! I’ve had my Singer sewing machine for years and only bring it out when I need to sew something. LOL I need to start using it for crafting. My next machine will be this one. Thanks for the awesome demo and review! Tfs sweetie! 😘
Hey Erica im glad i found this video I picked up this machine from my local Walmart (i have the white& gold), I haven't tried it yet but its sort of intimidating to me just looking at it and it being computerized. My last machine was the WRM keepers and it really gave me issues so im hoping i can learn how to comfortably use this one. Tsmfs!!♡
Aww man I like what your doing, but I have the CE8100 do U think if I stay with U my machine can follow. When U we’re talking about the # stitching I had the same ones 🥰 so for me to practice what kind of paper were you using. N can I get it at Michael?
Are you able to use a Walker Foot for this machine? I have this machine but have not ever needed to use a walker foot until now. Can you tell me what I need?
I have 2 sewing machines but haven't tried paper. What size needle do you use? I used to make quilts but haven't done it in a while. Paper crafting took over lol!
I had an issue with the bobbin holder and timing on my brother runway limited edition. I took one screw out and it had two tiny pieces on it. Now I cannot find how to place them back. Can you possible help me with a diagram of how to do this?
I bought my Brother recently, second-hand through Marketplace on Facebook. I have always had a sewing machine, but have to come to understand that Brother is one of the better machines. Unfortunately, my thread keeps breaking no matter where I set the tension, 4 seems to be the best, I can sew for a bit but then it happens, breakage. Don't know why this machine is so different from my Kenmore which is made by Janome. Any ideas?
I'm trying to figure out what stitch to use to hem the bottom of a Tshirt. I want a stitch that has 2 evenly spaced straight stitches on the outside and zig zag on the inside. I can't figure out which setting it is.
What a wonderful sewing machine, love all the different patterns it gives you! My mom was a seamstress but I didn't inherit her talent, lol. Thanks for sharing. ♥
This is not a brother CS 5055PRW because I have that one and it only goes up to 50 stitches. I am trying to figure out how to do the heart but I may not have it after all.
Can you help me my machine is balling up under the fabric check Bobin all is good I can’t seem to get it back. I have had it for years and never had a problem.
I am trying to sew on this exact machine share material. It will not advance the material and wants to eat the material do you have any suggestions or know how to correct this problem? Thank you so much.
I’m a beginner, I can’t figure out my sewing machine it gets tangled at the bottom I keep getting error number I just have no idea what I’m doing. ☹️ I have the exact same machine as you. Any tips?
Hoping to get an answer here though the video is old. How do you do a backstitch on this machine? Basic backstitch when it's set to 00 on the screen? I see other machines do a backstitch on it's own by holding a lever or something but I cannot figure out how to do this one with the tiny button. I feel like it's not actually backstitching when I just press the button...help?
So I threaded the needle myself because I couldboot figure out the self threader the bobin is loaded on the bottom and the other thread is loaded on the top im pressing the pedal but the needle is not moving only the top circle thing moving HELP PLZ!
My dad bought me that sewing machine in 2013 for my 12th birthday, and today is 2022, I'm 21, never learned how to use it, because I had no one to teach me. It's brand new sitting in the garage to this day, untouched. After this video, I'm going to finally pull it out and give it a try.

Nice decorative stitches in Brother's Project Runway sewing machine. I sew on a very old-school & rugged PFAFF.

I saved this cuz it would actually harder to use the automatic threader but you gave the best tutorial of it.
It took me a few tries but I final got it. . It has to be line up with the hole in the needle. I finally got that right. I guess the more we try the better we get. I am still learning too.
I have the same machine. I'm glad to see this demonstration. I didn't know that was a needle threader

Honestly I am not sure of the size... It's the needle that came with the machine
I had an issue with the bobbin holder and timing on my brother runway limited edition. I took one screw out and it had two tiny pieces on it. Now I cannot find how to place them back. Can you possible help me with a diagram of how to do this?
How do you use it on thick fabrics? The pressor foot isn't going high enough for me to fit a thick fabric?
I bought my Brother recently, second-hand through Marketplace on Facebook. I have always had a sewing machine, but have to come to understand that Brother is one of the better machines. Unfortunately, my thread keeps breaking no matter where I set the tension, 4 seems to be the best, I can sew for a bit but then it happens, breakage. Don't know why this machine is so different from my Kenmore which is made by Janome. Any ideas?
Excellent tutorial by the way.
Thank you! Unfortunately I do not know why your thread is breaking. I am not a sewing expert at all! Sorry I am not much help.

I wonder if I can use this machine like a serger
So how fast does this sucker go? I'm used to industrial machines so speed is a big deal for me.
How do you adjust the tension? I have been to both ends of the tension wheel and I can’t get it it right.
New sub😊
This is not a brother CS 5055PRW because I have that one and it only goes up to 50 stitches. I am trying to figure out how to do the heart but I may not have it after all.

I am trying to sew on this exact machine share material. It will not advance the material and wants to eat the material do you have any suggestions or know how to correct this problem? Thank you so much.
Do you know how to fix this if the bobbin case is not spinning in order for the needle to catch the thread?
I’m a beginner, I can’t figure out my sewing machine it gets tangled at the bottom I keep getting error number I just have no idea what I’m doing. ☹️ I have the exact same machine as you. Any tips?
Also make sure your using the type of bobbin size called for in the owners manual.
What needle do I use for #26 on a brother project runway cs5055prw
Hoping to get an answer here though the video is old.
How do you do a backstitch on this machine? Basic backstitch when it's set to 00 on the screen?
