    Thank you so much!!! I bought this machine for my mom about 3-4 years ago. She always told me she needs new needles and I always bought them for her. She passed last year and was left with her barely used machine that used to be her hobby. I learned now that maybe she couldn’t figure it out. I watched your video and learned there was nothing wrong with the needle. 😢 thank you, I’m going to use it and hope she’s smiling down cause it’s in good use. Thank you for your help… I truly appreciate it!

      I have no words but to say I am so extremely sorry for your lost. I really appreciate that this video was at least useful, people have said that I’m too slow in this video and that I don’t get to the point fast enough but is comment like yours that really make me forget about the negative comments. I just want to say thank you for sharing a little piece of you, I know that your mom is grateful that you didn’t give up on the sewing machine. Thank you so much for your kind comment

    I don’t know about y’all I have this same machine plus 2 other brothers. I’m absolutely addicted to them, spend most every day loving them. They helped me after my 3rd stroke to be able to concentrate on a task. Great therapy when trying to think straight, talk and read again. I’ll not buy any other brand.

    A couple things 1) you do not have to manually stop bobbin threading - the machine will stop itself when it senses bobbin is full. 2) This model has an auto needle threader - look for videos on that. It's not intuitive and can take a couple of tries, but it does work. 3) to hook thread at #4, you have to manually turn needle until hook arm is at top of travel. Then just bring thread up, rubbing the right edge, swing thread around back then to the left edge then down to 5. The thread will hook itself. This will NOT work if hook arm is not at top of travel 4) I don't think you're supposed to start sewing until you pull the bobbin thread up (manual needle wheel) - I could be wrong on that, though - I've never tried it your way.
    Overall very helpful video. I lost my manual somewhere and had been possibly using tensioner (hooky arm cylinder at top in front of first hook) incorrectly.
    One other thing, I just learned the hard way when you replace or refill bobbin, make sure to "defluff" the hardware area below needle. This fluff can really mess with thread handling when sewing! Onward!

      This is very helpful advice thank you, this will help a lot people. I just want to comment on the automatic needle threader, I have used the threader before but I just prefer to do it the manual way but this is very good advice. Thank you.

    Thank you for being very detailed! So many videos out there that don’t explain to the very beginners! So you need to have thread on the top and bottom to work? That’s the only thing I didn’t understand. 😬

    • @dailyandordinary
      @dailyandordinary  3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! The one on the bottom is called a bobbin. And the one on the top is just your main thread.

    Why don’t you use the automatic needle threader? 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @spicysausage_25
    @spicysausage_25 10 месяцев назад

    Is there a way to stop the thread from going underneath the bobbin instead of on it? The thread is going underneath instead of on where it needs to go.

    • @dailyandordinary
      @dailyandordinary  10 месяцев назад +1

      I usually try to start slow winding up the bobbin and instead leaving it to wind up by itself, I try to guide the thread with my finger. If the thread is going underneath, I put my finger underneath the thread and push the thread up and down on the bobbin so it winds up evenly.

    • @dailyandordinary
      @dailyandordinary  9 месяцев назад

      This might sound simple but is your presser foot down? it could also be any dust inside of your machine which has happened to me before.

      If you look on the wheel, there are two lines, and when the lines match up, the rod is at it's highest point and will catch your thread:)@@dailyandordinary

    Update; instruction on this to load bobbin are wrong. Check upper diagram - you MUST send thread through hook 1 to RIGHT of bobbin tensioner. Here's where video is wrong. You MUST NOT pass thread under and around left hook. You HAVE to pass thread between the disk on top of tensioner and ABOVE bracket. Otherwise, the thread isn't tight and ends up as a hot mess. If correct, tensioner wheel will keep tread taught and the bobbin will not end up with loops and tangles. In my test, it ended up being easier to cut loose knotted mess from bobbin rather than trying untangling. This is clearly illustrated on diagram on machine next to tensioner.

    I dont know about you all I have a lit of sewing machine and I had a brother as well, Im pretty sure her instructor on how to wind the bobbin is wrong from the direction indicated on top. She didnt even hook the thread feom thst button on top of the machine. Where.... You usually supposed to clip the thread......! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

      If a method isn’t broken then why fix it? I never had any problems winding up my bobbins with this method. if you’ll like to show the “correct” method please do so and I will link it here. Thank you for your lovely and respectful comment, god bless.
