    Those "environmentalists" never spoke out against Vulcan Materials 🇺🇲 "Calica", a US subsidiary company that destroyed 12 cenotes in an area of 100 hectares, currently Mexico sued that company causing irreversible damage to the ecosystem, worse than that registered with the Mayan Train. Damage that was allowed in complicity with those who now speak out against the Mayan Train for "damages"

    • @FaustoCasta
      @FaustoCasta Месяц назад +23

      @hanslarsen8113 For many Mayan communities, the Mayan train means communication, promotion of the local economy, promotion of entrepreneurship, for the benefit of the Yucatan Peninsula. 30 years ago, concessions were granted to Calica, a subsidiary of Vulcan Materials 🇺🇲 to extract limestone material and take it to the United States to build roads without infrastructure or other benefits for Mexico 🇲🇽. The worst thing is that those who recruited environmentalists against the Mayan train are the same ones who remained silent about the damage done by Vulcan. Which US congressmen own Vulcan Materials?

    This is the result of a peaceful revolution. Now, for feedback: since you mention the 2 million trees, to be fair and balanced, it should also be mentioned that the same government is responsible for the largest reforestation program in the world. Not a small task either. Other than that great video, like it a lot 🎉

    It seems the only information you have is what you see in TV,. I won't spend time in explaining you all this project, but some of the things you mention are not correct. All the trees were replaced and more natural areas were declared as protected. The weird things is that no one mentions that Xcaret group and hotels destroyed a lot of green areas and they did not replaced anything, No one mentions that Calica (company from US) was destroying the jungle and taking our land to use as concrete in the streets of the US cities.

    Hello!... well you took the train, you are intelligent uoutubers heh... just clarify one point, regarding the supposed situation of the environmental problem, that was a campaign paid for and orchestrated by the national media bought by power groups economic with the purpose of attacking the government that just ended, the reality is different, 100 percent of the train or highway works around the world damage ecosystems, there is not a single one that does not do it, second in this work They took several mitigating measures, such as more than 300 wildlife crossings along the route, viaducts, planting millions of trees, creation of new natural reserves far and wide, (in fact almost a million hectares), etc., in addition 45 percent of the road already existed, it was already there... so don't believe everything you see in the media, have fun!

      Tren maya 3 hours 21 minutes 977 pesos ( plus getting to and from stations)
      Ado buses 4 hours 15 minutes 338 - 658 pesos
      Prices for international tourists. Buying your bus ticket one week in advance will cost you one third of the train.

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  11 дней назад

      Ohhh... that's a really good question! Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure. I would think you would need two different tickets because they are timed (each ticket is for a specific train time). That being said, the cost of tickets is greater the longer the route so my guess is that buying Mérida to Chichen Itza and Chichen Itza to Cancun vs. one complete route would be about the same price.

    Things to keep in mind,
    1- The Maya Train is not for Mayans, all the indigenous people do not have the money to take the train and there's no some kind of reduced price for them, discrimination. IS CRAZY!
    2- Made by the Mexican army, the construction of this train has destroyed hundreds of CENOTES, there are videos and images all over the Internet!
    3- They destroyed more than 7 million trees and plants, thousands of animals died, they did a huge scar to the jungle!
    4- It is far from the towns and very often have failures and delays
    5- The corruption on this proyect is disgusting, you can check that easily , actually the government hide the documentation for 5 years! No one can check that...
    Think twice when you plan your trip to the Peninsula!
