I told her that the battery needed to be replaced, but she insisted that we needed to buy a whole new remote. (about $150) I told her that we didn't need to do that, but she kept persisting. I showed her this video and guess what? She watched me replace the battery and the remote works perfectly. Finally she believes in me.

You are the only guy out of dozens that took the time to do this right. You showed where exactly to crack it and once I used a larger screw driver as you suggested, it was a piece of cake. Much obliged!! Mission accomplished.

I just changed my battery out because it was working and sometimes it wasn’t I had to keep clicking in order for it to work luckily I had a 2032 battery lying around because my soundbar remotes take the same battery, thank you for showing me how to open my key fog 🤓

Thank you! My key fobs began to slowly stop working when I had an oil leak. It was leaking into the exhaust and maybe some other areas. One day, the smell of oil was really bad and it wouldn't allow me to start my car. It said it couldn't detect my key fob, though I had both of them. I recently got the major oil issue taken care of, however, last night, it couldn't detect my key fob to allow me to unlock and lock my car door, though it did start up. Any advice?

@@TheCarKeyMan Hi. Everytime I lock my SantaFe, after maybe 3-5 mins, the alarm goes off. Do you know what are the possible reasons causing it?
@@user-mj8zf4qq7u Its probably the hood sensor. Make sure the hood is closed all the way. If it is, unplug it and see if the alarm goes off again.

Yes probably, if the key battery is low Ruben, then it will ask you to place the in the ignition. A new key battery should fix it
