- This week we're looking at this Hyundai Genesis proximity key used on the model from 2017-2019. This is a very easy job. The key opens up quite easily and the car key battery is a standard CR2032 used in most car keys.

Awesome. My fingers weren't strong enough to make the snap closure at the final end. Put it on my granite counter and pressed down with the heel of my hand. Voila.

@@TheCarKeyMan thanks for getting back to me , I replaced the battery in my key fob with a cr1216 battery and the red light on my fob stopped working, someone suggested to change it again to a cr1220 which I have done the light is back on, still no central locking only passenger door locks by the key. I've tried the reset which someone told me how do it , that didn't work. Then I got told to take the uch fuse out for 10 seconds then retry the rest, I've done this and still no central locking. Any ideas please ?
Ok, so what happened for you to get to this point? Did the key become unreliable, or just stop one day altogether?
@@TheCarKeyMan when purchased the car the central locking didn't work , so the first thing I did was change the battery, which happened to be the wrong one so I've changed it again to the right one and I'm still getting no where

Debra, I had the same issue I couldn’t get the body open. Come to find out the way I was holding the key was preventing it from opening.
