0:22 I like to think of it more as one athlete taking over from another (in humanities common quest to push the limits of our physical capabilities), instead of dismanteling each other
1:15 I mean they’d be objectively incorrect. 50% of the times shows on the screen for Noah 2022 are across just 2 separate meets… it would be wholly irresponsible for Bolt to be peaking across 4 sessions per meet, impossible in fact. Because it was 3 heats plus a final for his 2009 worlds. Vs Noah’s 3 total sessions for his world program. Not to mention Bolt wasn’t just running the 200. He qualified to compete over 100m simultaneously. He didn’t run 19 a single time until he had to - that’s just smart racing. It’s why Noah has been unable to double and he’s gotten dusted off at trials. Moreover weighing Bolt’s average down is his massive illegal winds of 3.6 and 2.1 he’s running into in Kingston for 2 of those entries which were his slowest. To ignore that is odd. All this matters bc it’s the same story for Noah every year that I really hope he can adjust to correct - if I’m honest many American sprinters suffer from this: are they running too quick, too soon? I find myself objecting to your videos where you claim ppl are slower the. Normal or some head to head matters when in reality that’s just their program and they aren’t really racing. It’s like in F1 comparing practice seasons lap times when you have zero fuel loads, different aero setups, etc. until it’s race time at major championships, that’s all that matters. Noah DOES run very very fast all year. While I felt overjoyed with his 19.31 I couldn’t help but wonder if an even more brilliant time was wasted in an irrelevant heat. I’ve gone on record to say Knighton’s 6’3’ frame is the best to challenge Bolt’s world record given how far beyond normal human limits his speed and perfect body frame is for the 2. Noah needs everything to go right as a guy who has to aggressively negatively split. It’s not impossible per say but man it’ll be hard. The last thing he needs is to max his fast twitch too soon or overextend before worlds. This is really his last shot in my opinion before Knighton’s confidence and body takes over this race. I hope he can do it. Some might say he’s running slower than his time last year. Honestly, good. Save the monster times for Hungary

Bolt was not a starting rocket, but still 9.58 in 100 m. This tells us that if he, like Lyles, had concentrated on the 200, he would have gone under 19 seconds.
Underrated comment. What many forget that Bolt ran his WRs at major championships when he was competing in the 100/200/4x100 for many many years. That's why he is the GOAT!

When Lyles runs sub 19.19, he can claim the title, but not until then. History knows 3 things. Winners of the biggest meets (Olympics and World Championships), fastest times and World Records. @@jamescaricola6439 Yeah, nobody is coming close to that WR. Sydney is getting there, she opened in 22.66 (probably the required speed to run sub-47.60 honestly) & couldn't hold that, then did a 23.7x opener, but that leaves too much to have to do in the second half. I think it's good to be able to do both "styles" though, both the going out "too fast" or "too slow" & then learning to run the 2nd half differently depending on how you opened. The fact that a 23.7x opener seemed "too slow" for Sydney shows how much potential she has though. I see a low-49 very soon with maybe a 23.2 first 200m. She's still young, so maybe she eventually will be able to open in 22.6x & close for a WR, but it won't be this year.
@@trinidadrodriquez876 rather than look at the time in a vacuum, it's probably more useful to normalize for the field to account for conditions. Aside from whatever issue Lyles had, with better conditions, what does the rest of that field run? .15-.40 faster? For the other athletes, all of which have known resumes, those times seemed really slow so I guess I'm just giving them all the benefit of the doubt that it was the conditions of the day. Put another way, if it was a good day and the rest of the field all put up times above their season averages, would the kid not get 2nd? And if he still gets 2nd, what's his time look like then?
What's the difference between Noah and Bolt? The difference is Noah is trying hard to break Bolt's records running all the way to and through the line while Bolt just easily eased up and ran through it even when he ran records.
Nothing against Noah Lyles, and it wouldn't matter if I did, he's an excellent runner. But. If Joseph Fanbulleh somehow ran a 10:36 ( @3:37 ) opening 100 in last year's world champs, and he continues to get better at that closing 100, who knows what he can do against Lyles. Especially given his current typically slow starts . At the very least it should be exciting to watch .
I've raced against people with break away speed very depressing. You think you are winning next thing you know someone with afterburners blows by and continues to accelerate very freakish
I dont understand this whole 2nd gear thing. I ran the 200 and the event is a full on sprint start to finish. Why would anybody be saving anything for the last 100. I'm giving it my all from start to finish, if u can't then it's not the event for you.
That means flojo record a break this season , , cause elaine , shelly n sherika deh closer to those records than lyles. N mi no hear it c u talking about that. TRP keep dreaming cause I think bolt recitds a baby feet . A giant foot mi friend
Hes far from unbeatable. He's been beaten before and will be beaten again. With that said, hes probably the best 200m runner for the next atleast 2 years.
It is possible, but unlikely. The fastest ever closing 100m is Blake's 9.12 close during his 19.26 race. So a 10.06+9.12 does break it with a 19.18. Noah's fastest close is 9.16 during his 19.31, so a 10.02+9.16 also breaks it with a total time of 19.18. However, it's way harder than the math shows, as when you open faster it's harder to close fast, so if someone opens in 10.02 instead of say 10.15 (Noah's 19.31 opening 100) then it's way harder to have enough left in the tank to run that 9.16 close. Max speed for sure plays a big role. I believe Bolt did 9.92+9.27? For Bolt though a 9.92 is not all out, as he's run 9.58, so for Bolt 9.9x opener is "correct" where-as Lyles as a 9.8x runner cannot have anything left in the tank if he opens 9.9x as a 9.9x on the turn would be 100% all out for a 9.8x straight runner, so 10.1x is also the "correct" opening speed for him. In my opinion, Lyles needs to become a 9.7x 100m runner so that he can open up in low 10.0x & close in 9.12~9.16 to get the record. Until he has 9.7x raw speed I don't think he has a good shot at the record, he currently has a very very outside shot at it (though closer than anyone else).
@richardgallimore5976 You're spot on. Anyone who breaks the 200m record needs to be a sub 9.7s 100m performer as Blake was when he ran 19.26 with a poor start.
Keep your panties on "girls"... Bolt is still Bolt and people seem to underestimate the required effort to get to 19:25 >> 19:20 and so on ... Get real people c'mon!
By “beastly” I thought he pulled off something spectacular as the total time. Until he becomes consistent with the first 100m, what he does in the last won’t have great significance on the final time. So much hype on him beating the WR but these stats are just proving otherwise.
Last year can't compare with Bolt's 2009 season when he ran 19.19. Or even his Olympic Gold 2008 season, Bolt's average was lower because he never gave 100% during heats. If he breaks the World Record then a case can be made.

She's still young, so maybe she eventually will be able to open in 22.6x & close for a WR, but it won't be this year.
The highschooler getting second place feels like it deserves more attention than it's getting.
But his time is not super fast at 200. Boiling tan 20.27 after high school.
Go noah go u can do it.break that world record in pieces. 💪💪
U people dreaming . U know how far 19:31 is to 19:19 . Yvtemember Blake 19:26 ,? Noah need fi challenge that before him start talking about 19:19
You just keep mentioning Usain bolt's world record as if it's a small thing that Noah can just break easily let the man breathe 😂
awesome run by noah even with an issue, didnt this also equal the most sub 20s 200m record?
its called PED,'s
I wonder if he could break the 300 m wr
He can't! He tried the 150m and still fell way short of Bolt's time. 300 m is owned by Wayde Van Niekerk!
@yawos9024 he's good in longer, so that's why I say 300m he's good especially from the 150m to 200 so maybe until the 300 could have a great time
Naw
I would like to see Noah run the 400 I think he could get sub 45 probably 43 who knows 🤷🏽♂️
I swear i saw this mistake at around 110m. He had too much of high knee action leading in a drop of the COM and braking force the following step.
19.83 is far away from being savage. it is more a savage title.. than the race itself
I thought about going to watch the NYC GRAND PRIX this year! But, changed my mind the last minute
Do you think it’s more likely Noah will go under 10 for the first 100 or under 9 for the second 100?
I love your videos bro, but 1. Please stop comparing ANY big feat to Shelly-Ann, and no.2, Bolts record is here to stay, let’s be for real!
Noah to the youngster - This is how it's done "son" *
I've raced against people with break away speed very depressing. You think you are winning next thing you know someone with afterburners blows by and continues to accelerate very freakish
Post Zharnel Hughes the new World Leader 🚄🚄
I dont understand this whole 2nd gear thing. I ran the 200 and the event is a full on sprint start to finish. Why would anybody be saving anything for the last 100. I'm giving it my all from start to finish, if u can't then it's not the event for you.
That means flojo record a break this season , , cause elaine , shelly n sherika deh closer to those records than lyles. N mi no hear it c u talking about that. TRP keep dreaming cause I think bolt recitds a baby feet . A giant foot mi friend
Usain bolt was running down any records so it’s different lyles running that down bolt sets record lyles chasing them
So ur not gonna talk about Hughes’s 9.83?
ruclips.net/video/4WLmbZiGa9w/видео.html
and he didnt talk about Akeem Blake 9.86 a few weeks ago
@@tonybarrett4741 he ran 9.86??
Hes far from unbeatable. He's been beaten before and will be beaten again. With that said, hes probably the best 200m runner for the next atleast 2 years.
No one will break the 200m record running the first 100m in over 10 seconds.
@truslu1 I wouldn’t say sub 9.7 but definitely in the 9.7’s
Starts can be improved .
@@richardgallimore5976 best analysis I have seen. This is what people miss when they are comparing Lyles to Bolt. Spot on mate 👌🏽
Dear TRP: I love your content but the title of this video is an insult to everyone's intelligence. Please change it.
The real thing , that matters: Beat the WR, and I will look at it. That is all that counts.
Showing up to your heat and seeing Noah Lyles standing there produces a lot of silent swearing.
Tebogo will rule them All screenshot this TRP mention me when it happens
Noah Lyles is my favorite track athlete ❤
Guy is a beast!
Noah Lyles will never break Usain Bolt record, it was never his to break,
Best track and field channel on RUclips. Really appreciate the consistency and in depth analysis
Keep your panties on "girls"... Bolt is still Bolt and people seem to underestimate the required effort to get to 19:25 >> 19:20 and so on ... Get real people c'mon!
All of bolts records are being shattered by Knighton and in a couple of years he’s coming for the world record.
Yessir
By “beastly” I thought he pulled off something spectacular as the total time. Until he becomes consistent with the first 100m, what he does in the last won’t have great significance on the final time. So much hype on him beating the WR but these stats are just proving otherwise.
Last year can't compare with Bolt's 2009 season when he ran 19.19. Or even his Olympic Gold 2008 season, Bolt's average was lower because he never gave 100% during heats. If he breaks the World Record then a case can be made.
19.19 isn’t happening for Noah.
Noah is HIM hopefully whatever that issue was it does not linger!
Best sprint analysis channel anywhere.
first
Watch out for zharnel hughes
He's not racing anybody 😏 All season he should be racing the best and pushing himself. He's racing bums.
Let's goooo!!!
Here's a spoiler: Lyle's will NEVER break Bolts 200 m record.
Hope Lyles is not hurt
Idk when he's to lose again, even in the heats. He could easily start a new undefeated streak for a while.
The turnaround time 👏👏👏👏
Noah will be flying
When he has beaten bolts records then he is the greatest until then he is most certainly not!!.
Yohan Blake is the fastest 200 meters ever .
Nope. Your start is still a part of the race and if it sucks it is still a part of your final time.
Fast forward to the 3 minute mark.
Lyles is the Bolt of this generation.
No he is not! Bolt was dominant in 100 and 200. Also, Lyles still have proved anything in the 150 meters.
STOP IT. LOL HE CAN'T CARRY BOLT'S CLEATS.
No comparison Bolt was the G.O.A.T but Lyles is just the best at moment at 200m.
@@wilhelmw3455 THAT PART. YOU CAN LIKE SOMEBODY AND STILL TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THEM. I THINK NOAH IS HAVING A MOMENT.... BUT THERE ARE LEVELS.
3rd
He's dominating 200m more than I remember Bolt do
You can't remember because you don't know much about athletics
The man!
No Kerley?
That’s what I’m saying
Come back when he breaks the record
Stupid stuff like 4x100 spilts come from this channel alone..its not a thing
