Scotty should make all his videos like this video, shows how to diy in professional manner, this is the way it should be. Not the way it is today, with laughing animals, and other non essential stuff like that. This is the type of the video I watched for a long long time, and enjoyed it, back in early 2010's and earlier. This video is very informative and is not hard to understand, the way Scotty shows and explains it.

For example, people still drive when their past 70 years old which is insane in my opinion. think of how uncoordinated your family is compared to the most coordinated person you know

No. It's a '94 model and these videos were not filmed in in '96. Scotty has even stated before that he bought that car like 8 or so years ago I think, which if correct would mean he bought it 2012 or so. All these videos in this compilation are still up on his channel and they are all from '07 I believe, as they are all his first videos and they all have publish dates in 2007. So if I had to guess these were filmed in '02-'07 judging by the cars seen and the laptop. The 25 years ago thing at the start of the video is just a joke. He wasn't being serious.

If the sticker was from 03, than it was 2001 or 2002, for all intensive purposes, will say 2002, thats almost 20 years ago. Not 25 as he first has written. As far as when that celica was their, it may or may not have been their in 01-02. We can ask him again right now in the comments, what year did you buy the celica, that will close that debate, but that inspection sticker doesn't lie and he had that blue shirt, so all the clips with him with that shirt on are dated.
That last part got to me. I never used to wear my seatbelt, then I started working as a nurse and witnessed the awful consequence/repercussion of what an accident with no seat belt does to a person, survivor, family, community, etc. Now I wear one every time I drive.

@@ypcomchic It's not about being lazy, it's about unexpected circumstances. The idea behind tire sensors is safety. You can have 45psi and still get a flat tire. There is so much shrapnel that can puncture your tire and you don't realize it till the tire is completely out of air. Some tires are so stiff, especially the low profile ones you don't realize it's under 10psi till you make a lane change on a busy roadway and the car swerves with a simple lane change and you hit another car. Or, on taller truck tires, a chunk of debris can cut a sidewall, deflate the tire and the sensor will immediately alert you of the air loss so you can pull over safely before having a wreck. Checking air pressure isn't what tire sensors are for.
I got a wheel alignment on my 2019 Camaro, because it was pulling slightly to the right, and when I drove out of the shop, the car could make a u turn to the left, just by letting go of the steering wheel. Drove back to the shop, and they said they were surprised they had to use the scanner to set up the alignment.
True stories. My 79 Pinto caught fire, but I had a fire extinguisher, turned out OK. I had two great Yugos, both ran fine, but they quit making parts. So, I sold them as a pair. First one that broke became the "parts car."

Back in the mid 90's they brought a similar seatbelt rig to our middle school, we all rode it. I love watching stuff like this, when the 2000's hit everything changed so fast, and I am pretty sure it was not for the better.
My Dad used to watch this show back in the 90s/early 2000s (he was a mechanic too). I remember hearing parts of these old episodes on TV in our house growing up haha. Man, some nostalgia there.

I rode The Convincer way back in the early-mid 1980s. Was sore for 3 days after, and I was in great physical shape at the time. Anyway, that experience explained how come some wrecks that came in for body work & resale would have teeth imbedded in the dash on the passenger side.
I can so picture this being played on a TV/VCR cart in a dark classroom while a substitute teacher sits at their desk in the corner and chuckling at each of Scottys silly jokes lol
