Pin 30, 87 and 87A are supposed to be connected, after the relay is energized. So it has to be connectivity between the three pins.

Hi. I replaced the relay, just because it was not expensive, but I don't think that was the problem. I ended up replacing the fuel pump and the vehicle did start after that. Note at first it would not start as tank was near empty, and I wonder if new fuel pump filter did not sit down to the very bottom of the take. So I had to put few gallons of gas in it. But there a few steps to take first. I would not just guess, as that can get frustrating and costly if you are wrong. Take cover off fuel pump access panel, have assistant turn key to accessory position, can you hear pump turn on, it should run for 5 seconds. If not test for power at pump wiring connector. And you can jump the relay with a wire and the pump should run constantly so you should hear pump and try to start vehilce.. Unfortunately my vehicle does not have a schrader valve to test for fuel pressure at fuel rail. And now I think that my spark plugs are bad from there being an upper gasket leak and trying to start it so many times. So sorry not exactly specific, but hopefully some help. And you can watch videos on testing fuel pump, it will be the same for most vehicles and for sure other VW vehicles. There should be more videos for VWs. Be very careful around fuel, and it may be better to have an expert look at it. Never work on the fuel system in a garage that is attached to a house.

Hi. Thx for the question. I had to do inner and outer tie rods and loaded struts on my S60 daily driver , so the Audi was put on hold.
The next step is to use some sarter spray and see if it will run for a few seconds. If so then The next step is replace the coolant temp sensor that is located on the back of the engine under the air intake. Sometimes that can cause a no start.
Timing belt is tight and no cracks or missing belt teeth as far as I can feel.
After that it's a compression test.
I'll try to post a video on the results.
