First of your vids I've had show up in my feed, shall watch more! Good stuff man keep it up, i love Elden ring lore but at the same time i have no idea what's going on
Insta subbed for a theory that I think devs want us to have. I think when miquella calls us the champion of the erdtree, it solidified that gold is what you make of it, good or bad, as marikas secret spell in the village proposes with its unordered healing.
I like the idea of the land of shadow being inside miquellas head. The shaman village is a good way of representing the empathy he would have to have for Marika to carry out his actions. Messmer is almost a foil to miquella kind of like his shadow self maybe.
I dunno about Radagon being a corpse, so much as Radagon Is Marika. They're both the same person, in the battle cutscene we watch Marika change to Radagon. And vice versa. We watch them shift during the shattering. Marika and Radagon are the male and female complete whole, the homoculus. Marika/Radagon made cursed children together because they are born of one person. Self fertilization sort of. Like the plants that bloom with both male and female flowers on the same tree and can self pollinate. Radagon has his own will and his own side, while Marika shattered the Elden Ring, Radagon tried to repair it. While Marika drew the Tarnished to the Erdtree to complete it and become Elden Lord, Radagon tried to block everyone out and fights us to prevent us changing the Order. H can't be an empty shell or puppet, he's more the other side of indecision when we argue with ourselves. When you want the piece of cake but you know you shouldn't have it. Marika wants the cake, Radagon doesn't think she should have it.
@erebons I try not to talk in absolutes about Elden Ring and identity, but in some cases, the game does tell us. In the case of Radagon Is Marika, the game is very explicit in both showing and telling us that they are both literally aspects of the same person. Now, whether they are combined of multiple people in a jar, splits of a central person, alter egos that have always been, or combined at some early point into one, I'm not confident enough to say any one with absolute certainty, but at the time of the game one thing we are told is that Radagon and Marika are the same individual. You're absolutely onto the right track I think in comparing the people to being plants, and that's why I used the flower male/female comparison, but I don't think Marika reproduced directly with the Erdtree, as she had husbands (and a wife) and the children of each of those separate unions are visibly distinct. Children of Radagon save for Miquella have red hair. Rani's burned body has red hair. Children of Godfrey have white or blonde hair, and tend to be close to the Crucible. Two omens and the very Draconic Godwyn, for example. It's why I think DLC Messmer was one of Radagon's. More the tree themeing is in how they can bud, and graft, and how power or corruption spreads like roots below the surface.
I think Radhann won the ''Festival'' at Leyndell after the shattering. But he didn't want to be Elden Lord, because he knew he had to take Miquella as his consort. So Morgott struck him, he retreated to Redmane Castle. Where Godfrey lost his grace, maybe. to organize his own Festival to fight with champions. But Malenia would track him down to Caelid, to be sure his part of the accord to be fullfilled.
ignoring all the interesting lore, listening to you is like seeing a very intelligent person be a very stupid person at the same time because you don't just have to be one or the other. idk how else to describe it, but its just very funny. ignore what i said though, very good vid i'm subbed now
