Just bought my Y performance 2 weeks ago when Elon temporarily reduced inventory vehicles prices by as much as $5500. With the government incentive off the top I cleared it for $43000 before all the taxes. It had the white seats, and tow package as well. With my other car failing I couldn’t pass up a deal like that!
I understood your points but tell me one thing.. which other car is worthy to buy at $41k out the door - taxes and fees included with all the discount in todays car market? A beast 3.5sec , beyond the premium audio quality, firm, spacious, economical? Not even rav4 is close to that and rav4 prices are outrageous! Buy a tesla if you live in a high gas price, low electric cost state. In such saving case, tesla is really hard to pass at its current price
Comparing apples and pears. Sounds more like making excuses to justify changing it. Its not a plaid, a quick road car instead. You could turn off the regenerative braking. And its not lazy driving, its relaxed. Yes you will miss the performance. Build quality is fair i think. Doubt any cars can withstand operator error, handbag chains hooked in wrong places could break most plastic trims. I wouldn't change mine, havent found anything i dont like.
If I got a plaid I would HAVE to get the carbon ceramic track package, these cars are just too heavy and overpowered/underbraked. Great commuter car though!
I laugh at these videos that sound so pretentious about "real cars". You can keep the tinkering, maintenance, and the noise. The Tesla is the most fun I've had driving a car. The tech and the power is awesome. I do hate the dropping value, but I've never had a car that didn't lose value.... it's a car. They usually are not an investment, but instead are luxury items based on preference and desire. Not until since Tesla came to prominence did I start hearing terms like ROI in relation to cars.
I’m glad you took it to the track for real feedback, 99% of all tesla owners wont even consider going to the track. It seems like a great commuter appliance, but it’s not a great drivers car. You’re too talented as a driver for a Tesla. Imo.
car never hold values... in this time the used market drop a lot, not only Tesla, Tesla is worth if you do over 25k miles a years, you will save on gas.
Can't wait to see what the next car is and I agree that it will hold its value being a GT3 😁or maybe a BMW Competition? I lost a lot on my foxbody, I just really really wanted it gone but damn did I lose a lot on it. Something else is coming soon though.........

@@Lethal_Venom I don’t think there will be anymore Ice cars produced shortly. That will increase the value of the car. You are right about paying over and a bad economy.
I watched this! Cool, honest review I appreciate that as I've not driven a Tesla and now I know a bit more what to expect. I drive 1JZ S13 in Florida but mostly motorcycles. I think about getting new cars often but I shall restrain myself a while longer. 🌴🤙🏻
I was just in the brand new refreshed Model 3, omg this car is so refined and waaaaay quieter than the older model 3 and it has me looking forward to the refreshed Model Y at some point hopefully next year.
I love my Tesla MYLR but man the build quality in Teslas are really bad. Like a base model of any other company bad. It’s been a hard adjustment for me going from my last Mercedes Eclass. If Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc EVs come down in price I will get one of these instead of a Tesla.
I own one. The only thing that is really bad with Tesla is Elon Musk. I just hope he will let it go and change projects because he's responsible for the price drop and lost value. He only care about the shareholder but not the customers. When you play with the price all the time, you can't trust this guy. From 2016-2020, Tesla held its value, but now it has lost a lot of value. He's the main reason for that. I thought he would sell a smaller model like the Model 2, but it never came out. Instead, he keeps selling the Model 3 and Model Y and drops the price of them so if people think they will save gas, in fack when you lost 10k because of this asshole, the gas car become more logical.
Elon reducing prices like it's a day traded stock is what made me sell my Tesla. I'd rather have a more premium brand. I know cars aren't appreciating assets but that doesn't mean I want to keep one that holds it's value like a stone to water.

Go to screen cleaning if you want to “shut off” the screen

Regardless he can’t take it to Italy so it has to go.

You can reset blank screen by pressing 2 buttons for a while
My seat panel unhooked as well. Tesla guy came and fixed it in 3 minutes.

😂😂😂
That was really quick. You were only thinking about selling right before Christmas. Can't wait to see what you get next .🤪
Couldn’t you darken the screen in clean mode?
Put your screen in clean mode and it’ll be a black screen until you bring it out

How do you lose money on a fox body in 2023…

You can reboot the screen yourself if it goes black…
I have a friend who bought a tesla Plaid when they came out for 129k and now they are selling for 70k. 2 years and almost 50% went down the drain!
Look at the depreciation on Mercedes or BMW if you're shocked

I drove a model Y performance a week ago. I was surprised at the interior noise. I am ordering a cyber truck.
I love the idea of the steer by wire with the cyber truck. I’m sure it’s going to be awesome, especially the top trim model.
I read the CyberTruck is noisy too.

It would be wise for you to consider purchasing the BYD Seal. You won't regret it. Unfortunately, it seems it's not available in your city.
Why did you even buy a Tesla in the first place, your clearing a pick up truck kinda guy.
You can still drive without the screen btw
How do you turn it off?
the apple phone and the tesla not being compatible is more of an apple issue, apple is very bad at pairing with any device that isn't apple
Don’t tell me it’s a Fiat 500 Abarth 👀
If its Italy and he is replacing Tesla, could be Alfa Giulia QV.
nice idea, trackmode with screen off
It really is distracting at times.
Sounds like you need a hobby or sport

Lol the Alfa will hold its value. Thats if you can get the car to start after 6 months
the main take away from this is.... for most daily cars.... let some other chump buy it new then buy it when its 18 months old
Yeah! I’m thankful I didn’t buy this car new. Still took a hit though over the last 6 months.
What's a Telsa 😆

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way!
Alfa 4C price is growing a lot! Every week. In Europe is over 70 k euro as normal. In Us, finally starts to grow.. and it is a very good invesitment
That’s almost every car brand.
