Ryan Ratchford that’s perfectly fair, I feel like Code Geass is also one of the least ‘mecha’, mecha anime Ive seen and focuses a lot more on its story which I think is something that makes it stand out and as very strong anime.

Willow Jabari the second season is a bit confusing cause it almost feels like the show did a hard reset, but it starts to make more sense after a couple of episodes
I am coming back after watching the whole series....cried like a bitch the whole night after finishing R2...wished I could see the reaction of others if they saw zero again after death in the movie. Really liked it

not gonna lie, one of the main reasons i started watching code geass was the opening theme lmao. colors is an ICONIC opening theme song & nobody could change my mind.
Deviant good idea, but the characters fell flat, the payoff was lack luster, nothing interesting happened. And the worst part of all... I literally predicted how the last 2 episodes would end up after watching the first episode, I’ve never been more disappointed to be right. Of all of the anime that I actually watched through, this is on the bottom for me.
Here are my reasons why i love Code Geass! 1. It has one of the best main characters since Bleach's Ichigo. Seriously, where would fans be without Lelouch? Not only is he a good anti-hero and is very intelligent, but he helps his comrades in battle, even giving them all code names! Now that's teamwork. 2. The Knightmare Frames are so cool! My favourites are the Lancelot Albion, the Guren and the Gawain with its Hadron Cannon! Who needs tanks when you could have these babies? Well, with robots becoming a reality, you just never know, one day we will see a Knightmare frame attacking on the local news. 3. It has the best soundtrack ever! And it works for every scene, happy, sad, tense, you name it, there is the soundtrack for it. My favourites are In Justice, The Master, Lelouch returns, Madder Sky, If I were a Bird (instrumental and vocal), Innocent days, Concealment, All Hail Britannia, Masquerade, Prepared to be Shot, Occupied Thinking, Shady, Previous Notice, With You, Nunnally, What am I, I Can't Do It, Blue Mind, Passing Each Other, 0, Reversed Thinking, Awakening of the Child, Cold Nobility, Feel Ambivalents, Reversed Thinking, Astray, Beyond Humanity, Love is Justice, Knightmare Assault, Noblesse Oblige, Strange Girl, Black Knights, Stray Cat, Continued Story, Stories, Beautiful Emperor, Pure Feelings, The First Signature, Nightmare, Last Evening, Boyhood, Birthplace and Boy from Britannia! 4. It has one of the saddest and best endings ever. Honestly, poor Lelouch. Not to mention the soundtrack accompanying it. 5. The "Orange boy" running gag is so funny! 6. Lelouch's obey me world speech is brilliant! 7. It has a superb English dub. Johnny Yong Bosch and Yuri Lowenthal are amazing as Lelouch and Suzaku, Kate Higgins does a pretty hypnotic performance as CC, and Liam O'Brien as Lloyd makes me laugh.

Bruh if I had a few anime too watch again without spoilers is aot and code geass because I got spoilt for the ending of code gesss and aot I got spoilt in the manga so I ended up reading it but somehow when I was watching the ending I reacted like I never knew the ending and just knowing the summary of the ending is not as bad as you think it is well it is but man like I still have it at a 9.7/10 😂
Man like Dave hey man! So the whole show is wrapped up in the two seasons, so you would start with season 1 ep 1 and continue on to season 2/R2. The movies are basically a summary of the story however they change one major plot point, but I would strongly recommend the show over the movie as I feel this plot point is very very important. If/ when you decide to watch the newest movie R3 which is a sequel to the end of the show it does follow the movie timeline so it will have the changed in plot point, regardless I still recommend watching the show itself over the movies.
DingleTobby Gobble I’m not sure how it doesn’t match? Season 1 ends abruptly with the gun shot between lelouch and suzaku and Season 2 starts with lelouch having amnesia. From memory Suzaku and Kallen still remember who Lelouch is and such. I’m pretty sure everything does get explained throughout season 2 but it has been a little while since I’ve watched through it.
I watched this anime because i saw it had something in it called the holy empire of brittania and i just finished playing a victoria 2 game where i made the British empire world power number 1 with no competitors. Now that i have finished season 1 i feel emoty sad and hateful. Oh euphy why why.
Its crazy how many people out there are like me and wont watch an anime with giant fighting robots , honestly im older and can probably respect a good story mecha anime I just wouldnt volunteer to lol
S honestly there are some fantastic mecha anime out there with some really great stories, if the concept of mecha doesn’t interest you that’s fair enough, but I’d definitely recommend even just checking out Code Geass for the story itself as it’d be a shame for you to deprive yourself from a great anime just cause you aren’t interested in mecha.
Jamie ? Yes 100%! The fact it has mecha in it was just a bonus for me as I really like mecha since I grew up with it, but Code Geass itself is much more story driven and doesn’t really rely on the mecha aspect much at all. Definitely well worth a watch and in my opinion is one of the anime staples everyone should watch on the same line as things like FMA, Cowboy Bebop and Death Note.

So I’m on ep 4, I was surprised on ep 3 when they showed boobs, I was like holy shit, they do this?? For some reason, I didn’t get hooked on this anime… I watched the episodes in more like a “let's get it over with” spirit and not an “omg this is soo cool” which rarely happens to me. Also, the big mind games were the thing that got me to start watching it and I wasn’t really impressed. Maybe I got overhyped for it and I just watched too many similar animes like this. I'm not saying I was bad, but I didn’t feel like I'm watching the “greatest anime of all time” Also not here to offend anyone whit this, just wanted to let you know my experience with it.

And how about the OVAs? And there is a movie that isn't a "summary" of the series? I watched season 1,2 and the last film ( after watching a video explains the major differences that happen on that trilogy of movies ) but now I don't know how to watch the OVAs and the other movies ( if there is another )
Aramaru 1837 the manga was adapted from the Anime though wasn’t it? Strange they cut out the mecha, but granted the story didn’t really need it. Kinda crazy though if the anime didn’t have mecha in it there’s a chance I never would have watched it in the first place.

It’s pretty heavily debated, they have very different feats and are in very different situations. You’d probably need someone like Seth The Programmer to go in depth scale their feats in order to get a more solid understanding of who’s actually smarter.

I was hesitant to watch this because it is a bit old; however, after the first episode, it piqued my interest. This will be a good watch.

And how about the OVAs? And there is a movie that isn't a "summary" of the series? I watched season 1,2 and the last film ( after watching a video explains the major differences that happen on that trilogy of movies ) but now I don't know how to watch the OVAs and the other movies ( if there is another )

In the manga there was no big robots
Aramaru 1837 the manga was adapted from the Anime though wasn’t it? Strange they cut out the mecha, but granted the story didn’t really need it.
Kinda crazy though if the anime didn’t have mecha in it there’s a chance I never would have watched it in the first place.

sakin hasan yeah I think you will, Lelouch’s Geass is essentially Shisui’s mangekyo so you’ve even got some relatability there to Naruto.
