I don't know if you've found this out yet, but if you put the fledgling sigil on the mantis, it won't increase its attack and health like normal. It'll turn into mantis god. Not a good trade imo
It's a good trade if you can sacrifice the mantis god on a high attack creature like the grizzly.
@@calladreus6391 You cant sacrifice the card that already accept some sigil (glowing green). Beside mantis god is the result of waiting 1 turn (i guess, because i never try it myself).

@@flamingstorm9820 It's free, so if you put fecundity on it (which gives you a copy of the card it's on when played), you can play a geck, and then play a geck, and then play a geck, and then... you get the idea. If you draw the geck now, you have infinite free sacrifices, damage blockers and attackers with at least 1 damage. It's utterly broken.
And yes, I did realise all of this when I saw Sifd put fecundity on the geck.
btw i just want to point out that i very much like the drafting mod, and i hope to see more fun mods like that in the future

New Secret: what I did was get a mantice god, get it to 5 damage on fires and give him immortality. Also got the top most eye from the box. That gave me an eye inscription on the card. Idk if there's more to it.

Yeah, it's similar to the other glowing cards, probably something like mantis are smart bugs and would worship the mantis God and its his symbol
@@logan4254 when you infuse a unit onto another, the infused units' eyes glow. For mantis god, that's its "true eye."

If you get the chance, try using the squirrel totem head on the unkillable totem body. Every squirrel/blood sacrifice made goes back into the player's hand, giving the player infinite blood sacrifices. Also, great for establishing a defensive line to absorb damage while collecting bones. Note: Squirrel cards not only feed the hand but also feed the player.
I could see the trees being good if you know your deck can't survive the early turns, though usually if you have a deck that weak you just lose earlier in the run. Definitely the worst option in most cases, but there are definitely draws it could save you from.
Absolutely loving how quick you are to realize how to break things that'd take me way longer, I thought fecundity would add a sigilless version of the card to prevent something like that
Even if it did, it’s possible to get a fecundity totem in Kaycee’s mod. So if you get a blank copy of it in your hand, it’ll still get fecundity, as well as all other cards of that tribe.
Fecundity totem is utterly broken.
Cockroach I find if given the stink sigil and a buff if wanted it becomes amazing, it becomes much more worth its price and can be replayed fairly often depending on your deck.
I love the enemy beehive gives you a card. Lol. Bummer on the moon hook guess my dreams of sifd becoming grue will have to forever be a dream.
Buying any pelts but mostly golden pelts and merging them with the mushroom people as much as possible would be a fun challenge cause you get rares with bonus effects
When fighting the robot in act 2 it ended up scanning my field mice and I had combined two field mice so I got 8 extra field mice from the robot playing the 4 field mice on its side. My hand was basically just field mice at that point.
Sifd, you can also get a golden pelt sometimes from draw mode. And it separated from wolf pelt. So rarely u'll get 4 rabbit + 1 wolf + 1 golden pelts. I actually got this setup in my first run with mod))

For a challenge, whenever you draft a card you draft the topmost/leftmost card. Deal with whatever cards you get.
Imagine how ludricous putting tri attack on the geck would've been at the end there
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but there are two 4s at the bottom corners of the door and 3 lanterns hanging above it. Perhaps if you make a 3 cost 4-4 death card something might happen? 🧐

Similar effect as fecundity for squirrels is undying, if you sacrifice a squirrel it just appears back in your hand so once you have 2 squirrels you have virtually unlimited

Dude skink + cockroach is the most OP combo. It is unbeatable.

Also fliers can beat it and not trigger neither the skink nor the cockroach abilities
Challenge run idea: maximum attack run - always choose highest attack power, always combine the cards with highest attacks, try for sigils that promote attack power (bi/tri strike, the Alpha's sigil, evolution, etc). Sounds like fun and could be challenging in the early game due to the cost of those cards
Imagine adding the cockroach ability to it and extra bones or blood or triple hits
so news just happened that apprently the dev is working on a content update for something thats highly requested by the players. alot of people think its going to be a endless mode or something

I had a run where all my squirrels gave me a worker ant in my hand and I buffed a worker ant card I had with the effect that gives the two cards on each side +1 attack. EZ wins with 5 attack ants.
I had it so my ants gave me ants and had a roach card so I would just cycle ants till I had the bones to play an ant in a new space and repeat till I had ants in every space.

He was aware of it. If you listen to what he says: "You know what? For the sake of the thumbnail!" and the fact that he normally takes the field cards first in his other runs, you can be pretty much 100% sure he knew it and wanted to just make it unique this time.
Nice video! Also i think it could be interesting if you loose on purpose only if you have small but very strong deck, so you could make INSANELY powerful deathcard

I believe i saw another youtuber (rhapsody) actually sacrifice the warren itself in one of his videos. I also thought that the dotted border indicated that it could not be sacrificed but i believe it actually is possible with the warren specifically

I feel that modded cards without art would kinda break the atmosphere of the game.
Them being overpowered or not on the other hand isn't really an issue since you can already make your own OP cards in the game proper technically.
It appears that usually after the 1st boss, things go pretty easily
So I have an idea for a hard mod:
1. no items
2. 1 life (but greater smoke is a permanent part of your deck)
3. each boss abilities apply to next boss:
-Angler, changes cards to gold after phase 1
-Trapper, hooks & mines cards after phase 1
(If you really want difficulty change the hook AI to the strongest card, instead of newest)
I feel like those few changes can make the game more difficult but fair
so basically. the trapper is just early final boss?

Some cards feel rarer than rare cards, and field mice is one of them. Their sigil is so good, so I guess it makes sense. I've beaten leshy so many times and I've only ever seen two
You can get a bunch of them through the pack. If you enter a pack space with a full inventory (3 items), you will instead get a pack rat. It’s an easy way to get a super powerful card from mycologists

@@calebvr3526 field mice are different from the pack rat. I'm not a big fan of the pack rat for the average damage and filling my deck. The ability is OK sometimes, but just picking items normally is better because you get to choose from 3 options.
Field mice is like the undying sigil but better, because it returns to your hand BEFORE it's even dead. It's very strong with certain combos (as demonstrated in this video)
@@pickleplayer33 Pack rats are particularly good for fusion and throwing a sigil on each copy beforehand so it gets everything.

also got the seal of the mice on the gecko .. the problem is that when I play it, the gecko that is added to my deck no longer has the seal. Could it be a bug? I finished the game twice but am struggling with the kaycee mod.

it's hard to say that any card could be too strong if you could always create godlike deathcards - it's basically the same thing. However the lack of arts on cards could be really painful

What do you mean with "some runs"?
You can't die in act 3 and every run has all the puzzles again from the start... it is a story segment, not really "runable"...

@@Sifd You can still choose your deck and what you want to upgrade, just like in act 1. I honestly don't remember if it's that linear, but you could try speedrunning challenges until you beat the 4 uberbots; that or regular non-timed challenges, too.

@@RazzBeri1 no. Yuri said "set the bee on the barrel". You can place items on the barrel under the skull instead of giving them to the Leshy. And they just sit there for the completionist sake, not affecting the game.
@@RazzBeri1 also, I tried it and it actually made it harder to get upgrades for your side deck, because bees are not considered squirrels for the sake of the totem effects.

@@Sifd yea but before facing the trapper you had the choice of either sacing it to bonelord or combining them. Which to me combining them would be smarter for the upcoming fight incase you would happen to draw the cockroach, now you have a better cockroach v.s. getting 1 bone token boon. And then you can transfer the combined cockroaches ability afterwards like you still did
@@saveachip2620 it's really not that impactful either way and sacrificing it gives the resources to draw the other cockroach easier I'm pretty sure he did the right thing
and the 1 1 or 2 2 is pretty damn garbage for its 4 bone cost... in a hand that doesnt focus on bones AT ALL he literally had the ultimate sacrifice sigil on his squirrels literally 0 bones from most things on his deck so the cockroach is absolutely the worst card of all and what it does is 1 1 or 2 2 if combined but you cant play it cuz u have no bones

Lmao yea i know its not *that* big of a deal I was just dumbfounded that his logical reasoning was to get rid of it rather than have a better card. Just jokingly expressing how he makes 900 iq plays sometimes and then othertimes really screws up, aswell.
I personally disagree, the one bone is negligible and you get bones whenever your creature die so, while the deck is not bone focused it isnt hard to get 4 bones either over the course of a fight
@@saveachip2620 but the thing is his deck was really hard to get bones a 4 bone card in that hand with that sigil on the squirrel is equivalent of a 3 blood cost card but a 3 blood cost card is a grizzly with 4 6 attack while the cockroach IF UPGRADED is a 2 2
the one bone thing he did actually made that card equivalent of a 2 cost card which is still garbage a wolf is 3 2 and is a 2 cost while the cockroach is 2 2 IF UPGRADED which is fine but its still trash
modded cards would be cool to see once you've exhausted everything else

I wanted to ask a question about the Warren card specifically. I watched another streamer play this game, and he was somehow able to sacrifice the Warren (twice if I remember right) despite it being a non-sacrificeable unit. If a video example is needed I can reply with a link to said video or just say what video it is to those suspicious of links.
I honestly forgot about this comment, sorry. XD I found out from the Kaycee's Mod update that the Warren actually is a sacrificable unit, but had the wrong border on its card at the time that I wrote my original comment.
Imagine if you put replicate and never dying on a card, then play the card tentacle with trifurcated strike

The real trick is to get a strong sigil on a copy of one card so you can fuse them together at the mushrooms place and possibly do it again with a 3rd card with a strong sigil if you are lucky enough. Maybe at that point you could purposely lose with a small deck and try to make a massively op death card.

You should use the fishing hook item more you almost never use it besides once in the video and yeah I understand you can’t get another one and you used it to save you life but you can do some pretty crazy things with it. Edit looking back at it you used to hook at the proper time.

Mighty Leap is good against Airborne (Not Airborne + Waterborne) enemies only when you have enough health to survive and enough attack to kill the enemy on the following turn.
It's decent on Amalgam if you buff its health once, very good on Grizzly. Give a River Snapper +1 Attack and that's also decent, it can pretty much survive any attack and retaliate against most enemies.
Of course, there are quite a few Sigils that are overpowered, like Field Mice's Fecundity, that make Mighty Leap look bad by comparison. It's a completely "fair" Sigil, in my opinion. It's neither good nor bad, it all depends on the creature you put it on.

In my current game I have a 11 damage 7 hp triple striker, so 33 damage for 1 blood
