"New Game" Mode! The game is not a Roguelike anymore?! | Inscryption | 4

- Опубликовано: 20 окт 2024
- Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. Darker still are the secrets inscrybed upon the cards...

I feel like in every video I've seen, nobody has actually read that the Ouroboros gets stronger every time it's killed and rezzed... and that buff stays permanently throughout the game. Pretty OP to pick up a 12/12 2 blood card.
Yass I ended up buying multiple rare cards with all the tooth uroboros gave me lol
I knew but never had time to play it in act 1, you just see what happens at part 6
Ive seen a gameplay where somebody makes theirs go up to 1000 attack and hp it was cool as hell. They had towers of bones it was cool. Im a bit late but i could send you the link if your interested
@@grap.ejuic.e yes
I make my oroborose a 50/50 for 2 blood
31:00 you actually didn't have to remember anything. Each of the ghosts' dialogue cues were random, so you had to just keep prompting them until they gave you the stuff you needed about them.
No Sift, don't trash it; sacrifice it. Sacrifice it! Put the hammer away! No! No! Nooooooooooo! [hammer noises]
Woops :D
I like that when fighting Leshy in the pixel version, they kept track with his theme and kept in the same, just in 8-bit version.
the answers to the third question on the tombstones is determinable by the dates on the tombstones!! the only death recent enough to name a defibrilator is kaycee in the 1990s
I really hope they add a proper rogue-like mode in the future. I was highkey looking forward to Leshy's chapter being the actual game
I'm actually really upset about that. I was advertised a very different game; there's no hard feelings, but the whole low scale pixel aspect is fine. But I wanted expanded chapters for the other bosses as well, like the ones shown in the very end of the game with Death and Technology...
Yeah I'm not gonna lie, this turned me off from buying the game
I think Leshy's chapter is the most fleshed out and also the game expects you to win and then replay Leshy's part for ever I guess, Leshy's part has a looooot of cards and stuff that I didn't even come close to exploring...
It feels like they made it in a way where you can play the cool part (Leshy's) forever right away and then if you want to explore the story you get whisked off to random games :P
I will go back to it after we beat the game :)
Maybe if the game gets enough attention the game devs will make DLC of a fully flushed out rouge lite for the other 3 bosses
@@wordbearer8202 I think the issue is that its one guy, and this isn't really the type of game to get DLC, as much as I would love it. The point was to defeat the Bot and then the world ends...
A different version of this game where you get act 1 versions of every boss would be something I'd pay for tho.
Oh boy, this game just became even better. Lets face it, if it stayed like before people would just beat it untill all the riddles are done and then never touch it again.
This way they made it very uniqe.
But I still miss the old feeling.
To the contrary: I watched a Let's Play and saw how the game ends. Knowing what I know now, I may very well wind up passing on a game I was previously hyped for
I think the game is 2 games:
-The cabin game which is a classic card game Roguelike that you can play until you get bored.
-The story mode which is a puzzles/card/ccg/roguelike whatever game, you should most likely go through once.
I agree with Lord Z. I was ready to buy and start playing when we were in the cabin. I was really enjoying the game. Love the look and feel. The mechs were great. Really digging the way the way the roguelike and card battling/collecting were done. Now not so much. It looks like pokemon and hearthstone just had a baby and i want to shove the bastard back in!!!
Prob late answer, but the one you want is Inscryption Kaycee's mod, a dlc to Inscryption.
The game might be too new for this, but I really want a physical version of the game, it's really fun.
Fr
Same
vladde actually makes the physical version, you can even see how to make it for your own
his channel: ruclips.net/user/vladde
i did like it, as the blood and bones mechanic's were implemented, with just magic and energy being new introduced
also, i think that thing requesting sacrifices want a black goat card, as the previous 'tutorial' chapter bone lord aways gives you a major blessing when you put a black goat there to be sacrificed, also the description of the card is "a worthy sacrifice"
but idk, I didn't make this and i definitely don't want to go back and do this just to see what happens
Well I didn't know all that and I also didn't go back to see what happens :(
it is not the black goat, it’s an interaction between two cards
The only thing I can see to improve this game is to give all Scrybes an "endless mode", and possibly adding new Scrybes and underlings in DLC
I won't lie, watching you try the tombstones was very frustrating.
Was anyone else screaming to themselves about how all you had to do was put the meat in the dog bowl
Ouroboros, 2 cost 1-1 Kappa :P BTW: Magic deck is the worst. The resources are litterally the slots where you play the cards and you only have 4. Theres "no way" to have 4 useful cards in play if you play that deck. And in addition, magic cards are so weak unless you make one specific combo with some cards. Tech is ramp because you can almost spam cards in the later turns. Beast uses the own cards as fuel to continue playing and death is one of the best decks because uses bones. Cards uses bones to play and they give bones to play. One of the best combos is beasts + death.
this game get better and better every minute, this is why i love indie games
Better story-wise worse gameplay-wise :P
@@Sifd variety is the spice of life.
Huh, 'New Game' actually is a new game from the last. :p
All 4 of the scribes are in the "continue" option: the stoat is the technology one, the stinkbug the the necromancer and the stunted wolf is the magician; you fight off the beasts one
This game is so sick
I chose the technology pack and had a meltdown with its mechanics... Circuits? Energy consumption? Wha?
@@werdfeefs7027 yeah I have it figured out now, but thanks. It was a nightmare at first though, should've taken beast.
Personally I chose the magic pack first and completely failed to build anything sensible, eventually restarted with another pack to progress lol
@@funnysamy yeah, magic pack is even harder than robot pack cause you didn't get a card with damage and eventually will use another card from another pack, like our sifd here
it's hard indeed, but if you grasp the mechanics, you got yourself a powerful deck
specially if you finish a circuit
I think I explain most at the start of part 5 and at the end of it everything becomes 100% clear :D
I hope :D
φίλε απίστευτη δουλειά !! Μπράβο αξίζεις περισσότερα subs πραγματικά !!!!!!!!
No freaking way! Another game mode? This game is awesome!
Hey Sifd in this new area you can pick more than 20 cards for your deck and still fight, but you will need to always have at least 20
In general for card games where there is a minimum deck size you want to have the minimum amount, that increases the likelihood of drawing cards that you want. As long as you're not running out of cards to draw you shouldn't add more than necessary.
This is the reason why magic the gathering decks in 99.99% of the cases contain exactly 60 cards, even though that is just the minimum allowed amount.
Less cards --> more chances for combo instant win, especially in part 6 :D
I think some of the cards you got from the deck were mentioned in the videos in game in the pack openings, for example the blue mage is in your deck and was mentioned in the pack opening videos I think.
Map is reference to the old gbc pokemon card games,I believe
The guy who beat the game on the first run cannot figure our that he needs to put meat in bowl. Quality content 😂 love it
While interesting story, I felt jebaited by the change. Wasn't the game I wanted to play. I'd rather have had the Act 1 gameplay continually more fleshed out. I thought I'd get more gameplay out of it than 12 hours because rogue like card gsmes usually have so much more.
It's a one-shot story game in disguise.
Yes but no? I mean you might be right but I will try to go back to Act 1 and see how it is if you stay there :P
I know I’m late but I just realized the scrybe of death was the stink bug and the stoat will be the techno guy
I love this. Such a good game and you play it amazingly.
Sees ice crystal "it has to be the dog that killed them"
Damn the puzzle of the tombstones is so easy it hurts. Defibrilator before XX century? Yes, absolutely correct...
You don't need to know defibrillator bozo just use process of elimination
@@Gustf2But, you can know it, because it's obvious.
Your use of "bozo" is weird.
1700s defibrillator XD
The deck he would've gotten from Leshy's second phase would've been disgusting.
Two of the people literally told you their name again upon re-talking...
That leaves the third in the third slot.
The game didn't force you to remember anything there.
Man, if you actually pull off the mega sacrifice I have three bears fuck you combo I will lose my mind. That will be hilarious.
The new style is very off-putting to me. Like, I appreciate the hard work put into the game and giving it a new coat of paint, but it feels wrong.
Everybody says the same thing, the moment act 2 begins it is really off-putting. I agree too :P
I’m exited for the new video :D
I actually remembered the code at 9:30
It was also outside the cabin :P
Are the cards and packs random? N I chose magic as well :p
38:49 Yea!! 😆😂🤣
As far as I can tell the card packs are always a mix of the card pack theme and another card pack.
Card packs are 1 rare 2 common "in faction" and 2 common "off faction"
Does he even know that he doesn't need EXACTLY 20 cards here?
I mean, he died in the 1700s, so its hard for a defibrillator to have failed before they existed.
Non-existence is arguably the greatest failure!
Can you go back and play the original part without needing to start a fresh file?
after you complete the game you can select each act also including the tutorial
@@Sharky4204 But you keep everything you got the first time right?
@@white0thunderwhite0thunder71 omg in so sorry took me almost a year to see you probably figured it out and yes if i remember correctly you do
Am I in the correct video? Is this corrupted? A prank? Different game right
Nope, same one!
@@SirachaSauce a mod?
@@kmuralikrishna1998 nope. This is the actual game. The plot gets pretty good later imo
Anyone else notice that the death card leader is the stinkbug....
Yeap :P
And robot is stoat and wizard is wolf :D
Seeing you play in this episode was painful...
Why does literally everyone pick wizards?
Wizards cool
i only went through the game until the New Game button was unlocked, i did not enjoy the followup at all, and i am baffled to see that the orginal feel of the game became Lost to a shitty top down pokemon blue style Trash, i wanted the orginal game to be longer or expanded upon, it was great but it felt wayy too easy to complete all of the puzzles, the cardgame itself was enjoyable but the ingame map mode was extremely enjoyable. but im not going to put myself through playing a 8bit pokemon game, No thanks!
Once you clear that, there's a 3rd chapter that returns to a similar, but also different, version of the first. With a new antagonist, setting, and mechanics
I agree. The original style was much more intriguing. this should've been a much smaller part of the game.
I think the game is 2 games:
-The cabin game which is a classic card game Roguelike that you can play until you get bored.
-The story mode which is a puzzles/card/ccg/roguelike whatever game, you should most likely go through once.
