Hey brother, Hope you've been well. I've finally had time to sit down and start messing around with the Fusion Pro 3 and I found out a method that's not 100% but it eliminates the whole hyper input feel to this controller. I have always felt that if you could get a larger diameter circle to calibrate the sticks then it would minimize the feeling of the hyper response. I have tried countless amounts of things without success apart from the last thing i tried last night. The black friction rings around the sticks, If you just take them out (They are pretty well wedged in) and then calibrate the controller. It has a more linear feel to the sticks. atleast from my tests. Also if it's not responsive enough you can adjust the outset deadzone through the app to try and fine tune it. It's not perfect as without the friction rings it does have jagged edges. But imo I don't ever fully extent the sticks and rotate anyways so it's not an issue for me. I'm going to do some more tests in the future but I thought you would find this interesting. Have a good day mate
The next thing I want to try is calibrate it without the friction rings. Then put the rings back on and adjust the outer deadzone. It might not make a difference but maybe it will somehow change the input values and the hyper input will be removed.
After testing it, Deadzone Anywhere between 0-3% is fine outer deadzone between 7-15% seems to feel nice in apex playing linear-none deadzone., definitely not perfect but it makes the controller feel somewhat playable for now
Bro that’s an amazing tip! I’ll definitely try that today. The extra diagonal input definitely makes it difficult to adjust to, this might do the trick to tame it a bit.
@@thephototechy definitely try it out. I found putting a 1% dead zone on I did a little less twitchy and more stable but ultimately it's whatever you prefer. I ended up staying on 10% outer dead zone makes it a little faster but also not too twitchy. Also I noticed when you put the friction rig back on and you test out the sticks on controller tester. Aiming right was 4% greater input than aiming left. It is a little imbalanced but overall for the stability this little trick made this controller for me I'm fine with it.
@@thephototechy I don't want to jump the gun and say it but I feel like I've made this controller feel very similar to the victrix gambit. And honestly that's all I could ever ask for haha. Let me know how it treats you. B
I dont know if you will respond But I tried the update for my controller and it didnt update correctly my controller actually didnt fully update it canceled mid update and my triggers and sticks are screwed up Ive tried everything but asking for help So Im hoping you or someone can help me out
I owned the previous Fusion Pro for PS and Pro 2 for Xbox, both with capacitive stick modules. I loved the build of the controllers, but the sticks were soft for me, I wanted more tension, and was not a fan of the back paddles, I did not hate them either, but I thought they would not be durable, so I sold them. I might try this one.
Hey bro I do like the back buttons on this one a lot, but I never tried the pro2 and it’s pedals, also not sure what aiming output was on the pro2. This one can feel a bit uncontrollable at first, but with adjusted game settings can work well. I only started using it, as I needed something I could quickly press back buttons for jump shots.
What’s wrong with these controller app?? They never reset to default when I press it. How can I configure anything when I can’t reset the controller back to default in the app. Are you having these problems with the app? Sticks, remap buttons trigger tab every time I hit restore to default it don’t do anything.
@@thephototechy yeah I manually calibrated it and could see the inputs but everytime I moved my joysticks to the top right, it triggers my LT and RT but pressing the triggers themselves does nothing
@@Jaylensity I take it this happens with adjusting the minimum deadzones for triggers as well? Very strange as the triggers are Hall effect and sticks are potentiometer. I’ve successfully calibrated mine through the software and the forced manual calibration method a good few times. Can you try calibrating controller and keeping the triggers lock engaged to the second place and not fully unlocked, see if that register changes or disappear after calibrating like this.
hey bro in the the fusion app or any other controller with app support, if you enable any deadzones then add in gane deadzones, you are doubling the deadzones then. I'd say keep the app min deadzones to 0 and use in game settings to your preference, or if you use the app deadzones then keep the in game deadzones to 0. I have made a video showing a bug where MW3 applied a standard 10% deadzone even though I had it set to 0, if there were any deadzones applied through the controller app then I'd have doubled the deadzones applied.
Hey bro so nothing like that, this'll allow any button input on the controller mapped to back buttons, so pressing the stick button can be mapped and doad direction too, but not stick directions.
As soon as I did the firmware update it caused my controller to not work the buttons just do what they want to do and I have no idea how to bring up the back buttons.
My combination of button stopped working after update..i.e i had lb+rb press simultaneously mapped to one of the back button. It stopped working after update. Did anyone have same issue and have a fix.
I need your advice please, I have Dualsense Edge but I need a controller with 4 Back Buttons, I'm playing Apex Legends, Call of Duty & some other FPS games on PS5. Which one of this controllers you can recommend it to me to buy it now? - 1) Nacon REVOLUTION Pro 5 - 2) Victrix BFG Pro. But also I don't want to after 6 or 8 months to buy another one. Waiting for your response. Thanks. Wish you a good luck.
Hey bro, so the issue with the wolverine v2 pro is with BFG and Nacon as well. I’ve tested them both against edge and they just don’t compare to the aiming performance of edge. The controllers are great on their own, but Sony has made it so their own controller performs the best on PS5. The difference is minor and depending on you skill and play style, you can easily get used to them, but for me edge is the only one for PS5, even though I love the Xbox style controllers. Still if you need a controller with 4 back buttons, I’d suggest looking at something like a modified dualsense with 4 back buttons. Between the BFG and Nacon, I’d highly recommend waiting for the BFG Hall effect module release and see how that performs, as that can potentially be a long term solution for stick drift, and might perform better than Revolution 5 pro on PS5.
