*Hey Friend! 3 important things* 1) do you want more content like this? 2) Art of Documentary opens it's doors tomorrow, check link in the description for a special discount code 3) *We also just opened up applications for our spring sailing workshops*, these sell out every year so make sure you get an application submitted asap! left.ly/Sailing2023
I love seeing videos like this, especially because I joined as a filmmaker. Your channel, from my perspective, is definitely at that crossroads of Vanlife, Winter Camping stuff, Sailing stuff and filmmaking stuff, but really all of it in some way can be filed under filmmaking, because the videos are films after all. It's also good insight on top of that
Documentaries can be so intimate and personal with your subjects and you sometimes need them to feel that all the tools you have to tell their story just melt away. Great tips for anybody with a passion for doc storytelling. Love the idea of picking one lens that has restrictions and seeing what you can do. 🤘
I appreciate the sensibility of restriction. Have an idea, build a box it lives in. The idea grows as things are removed. Sounds counter intuitive, but it's true. Great episode, Levi.
Levi thank you so much for this, I really needed to hear this message. I’ve been a perfectionist about a personal project I’m working on and wishing I had more footage of this and that and just need to get my act together and put it out. Keep up the great work and meaningful content!
Hey Levi! Looking forward to your lens guide! Have you ever considered APSC (a6700) for weight/reach? I consider it as a companion for my a7s3 :) Your Videos are SO UNBELIEVABLE inspiring!! Thank you so much for your outstanding work! Much love! Tim
thanks for having by the channel Levi! Much love brother!!

Oh man, you are speaking to my heart Levi, your tips are worth gold. I think most content and video creators can relate to them. Greets from Berlin!
Glad to hear it!
2 of the most serious and passionate documentarians out there today.
I don know if I get to be included in that, but thank you either way
Thank you
The first tip is bang on the money. Grounding is something I need
You’re one of the only RUclipsrs that actually motivate me to make stuff. Thank you for staying real.
Bro your work is a real inspiration. "Creative decisions vs perfect decisions" will stay with me. Thanks!

AWESOME PIECE LEVI, I am consistently in that state of mind where I think my video and film are not good enought... It's refreshing to hear this.

informative 9mins.
Kinda humorous that the title is "Solo filmmaking" and Levi brought in a guest to tell the viewers about it lol....odd for sure.
Halfway through the vid and so far only fluff, still no tips on soloing 😵💫
soloing? as in free-soloing?
