When u think u can use return scroll back to orbis but accidently teleport to El Nath... 😂
Liran Redl I got tricked once trying to get to aquarium in the basement levels, then I realised that the town logo in the minimap corresponds to where a town scroll would bring you to

The title fits the song really well. I remember escorting people that were lost, up the tower with my cleric, so they could be back to safety. I would then give them 10k so they could take the boat back to Ellinia.

I still remember my first time going down this tower. I was so excited seeing these new monsters. It was back in 2005 and I was only 13. this nostalgic feeling almost got me teared up. *F4*

+L maplestory made so many friendships and memories. I love just going through reading all of them and thinking of my memories as well haha.

that's really cool; i spent a lot of time playing with someone else i met in maplestory and i mostly got to level 64 to catch up to his level
I remember when I played Maplestory not knowing you could press "Down arrow key"+"jump key" to descend a platform..

It felt like an adventure, going all these places.
The feel of "I'm going to conquer this"
The feeling of meeting a random player that was already way ahead, killing mobs in this tower in their 3rd jobs and going "I want to be as strong as them"
Oh the good times....I remember taking my level 30 character here trying to dodge the sentinels to get to El Nath, just to see the masters for the 3rd job advancement when they came out for the first time. Back when MS felt like a real adventure with an element of survival and the need for preparation to go to different places; seeing all the different places for the first time...the time that will never be again....
Agreed! I remember me and my friends having to stock up on pots solely to keep our level 20+ characters alive for exploring places like sleepywood and watching high levelers hunt macis while they wait for balrog

I loved the fact I could teleport down when jumping down wasn't a thing!

When you get down to certain floors, the stages gets ice and snow on them, penguins and snowballs begins to show up.
I always felt like I was in a different world when I was playing this game growing up.

I remember running into people all the time on maps like these but now the majority of maps are just barren wastelands...
i remember me and my friend were so desperate to reach aqua road.. we were both like level 20's... and the mobs were level 30-50 so we were always on the verge of dying. it took many tries haha. we ended up making it and aqua road was so awesome. memories
rem what about the snow shoe quest in El Nath and the Oxygen Tank quest for Aquaroad? Very good times.

We mightve and never knew, I still remember monster carnival PQ, the cake vs pie event, jr Balrog summoners, sakura cellions, farming work gloves, kerning PQ, kerning square, twisted jesters, aliens, MP 3, etc. The game was pretty different back then. And the main thing I'd want back in maple was the emphasis on party questing and being social, because now, until you get pretty high up, people are just fine with grinding non stop.
My initial exploration of Orbis tower was along the lines of "Oh, cool there's these round things and-- HOLY SHIT IT ACTUALLY SHOT BACK"
It was the first time that a monster attacked me back I was so shocked XD

I like how every is so open minded and creative. Gotta say this game made me feel like i was on an adventure. I love this game so much.
Whenever I hear this music it really made me feel like I was lost in a tower but is happy that I'm lost in the moment with a beautiful scenery with absolutely nothing to do besides exploring everywhere in Maple world and meeting new people along the way
that tower meant so much to me back then, when i first walked down it with my hunter, it was a right of passage, of me leaving the simple and easy world of Victoria Island, after finally leaving my safety net of Maple Island, and going to an even bigger world. It felt magical and it felt like a new journey. Yes the world just got a whole lot harder, but it got a whole lot bigger because of it...
and that statue, welcomed you, and bid you farewell as you moved in your journey.
It would not get easier, but nothing worth the journey is ever easy...

this was one of the weirdest towns if you think about it.. pixies in a fairy town, with a tower full of robotic weapons
but it feel kinda fit in for some strange reason lol

I always assumed it was the remains of an ancient city.
This was always one of my favorite tracks in Maple. I remember going out of my way to visit Orbis just to listen to this track again! Good times...
I played Maple Story very actively back in 2005~2008 and now so many years later, I still look back very fondly on that time. I loved this game!

Took my friend through this game earlier this year. Got him to level 150 something before we went on a hiatus. But we went to all the places I used to go back in the day, felt great. Of course a lot has changed in this game in the past 10 or so years, but seeing and hearing everything once again was... very nice to say the least.
Ik it's just a game and those who never played this before might think im insane but im actually getting emotional over this. It's just the nostalgia and the ms community in this game was insanely nice and like idk im just missing the past so much...
No way you're insane, a lot of people share the same feelings. The community in early MS was awesome and we all had a blast playing back all those years ago.

Going down through this tower with this BGM made my heart beating.
I remember that i first came to Orbis at lv25, as i started killing the mobs in this tower when i saw them, also the first thing i prob did was explore the Orbis Tower.
Did the same thing at the same level, I remember mindlessly shooting as a pirate dealing 25 damage each hit (occasionally missing) but never got to kill at least one Jr. Sentinel :')

At first, I was disappointed with the short ending, but rather this neat finish made it possible to imagine an endless adventure...and the music
Wait till you see snow before you use your "return to nearest town scroll", otherwise you'll end back up at Orbis; and same for going the way back: wait till there isn't snow in the tower to use your scroll to get back to Orbis quickly f3
I remember the first time I reached Orbis, as a level 33-something Page. It was actually around this area, while fighting the junior sentinels that I leveled up to 34 and spent an hour debating to myself whether to add points into final attack or not, back when it had a separate animation instead of just a tick of damage. Pretty much everyone in my guild told me final attack was a waste of SP, but I went with it anyway because it looked cool.
Remember I explored the tower when it freshly came out while my grandma ironing some shirts in the back.
Grandma just passed now😢 making me think of this bgm.
Back then when i was a level 11 noob.. i remember some priest escorting me back to orbis lool times were so dreamy back then !

Ahhh... the pre big bang memories. These were the good old days where I was actually excited to go on an adventure, explore new maps, meet new people, fight new mobs and listen to the great BGM's.

I remember 15 years ago spending so much time in this tower and the jr lions garden in Orbis struggling to level up from I believe level 25-40. This image of the goddess sitting atop the statue would probably forever be imprinted in my memory.
gosh....climbing this tower down for the first time to explore the newly released underwater world.....how long was that ago...i dont even remember anymore. back when you could still install ms using a physical actual CD.

I remember coming here at like lv 15 and trying see how far I could get before dying (the mobs were like lv 30 or something). At one point some other dude ran into me and asked me "wtf?" then we sat and spoke for hours. Never saw him again after that. Those were the kind of moments that I wish could happen again but it feels like every single online game these days is hyper focused on solo play and community is just optional.
If you think about it the first beat in this song is like "Wherever you are" in ludibrium

I remember finding the merchant in one of the tunnels on one of the floors. Floor 11, i think. I forgot. But it was cool cuz he sold scrolls. Good times
Remember the days where you had to thoroughly think about where you wanted to go because it actually took time and effort to get there. Now you can be anywhere in less than 5 minutes.

원래 오르비스 파티퀘스트(여신의 흔적)은 오르비스 탑 입구 오른쪽 포탈을 들어간 맵에서 진행했던 것으로 기억한다.

Fun fact: on Global MS, this BGM wasn't initially in Orbis tower. Orbis tower originally had either the music from Orbis or from the El Nath snowfields, depending on which part you entered it.

I was always getting killed trying to get back up because i couldn't afford the crystal rock at tower 1 to transfer me to tower 20 for 100k because i spent all my meso on the scrolls to re sell late ron.

When you don't have any transported magic rock and you have to climb up through 100 levels to make it to orbis
Going to Orbis was already a pain with crimson balrogs, but going down this immense tower? And then the monsters were like 50 levels too high already :P, miss it, so much...
not to mention if you werent a cleric or a archer, high chance your going to missed.

I am getting annoyed from the people saying "maplestory is dead" because, They miss being the naive child they were. whats ruining the game, are the community, groups of people combine and if you're not there, you find your self alone who knows where, traveling is easier, not ALWAY. still loving it.
ProjectRocket couldnt agree with you less. The accessability of maplestory is what ruined the game. Traveling in this game used to be expensive. You had to grind to get enough money to travel, or otherwise just walk there. This encouraged exploration,.. This also forced you to run into people. Sometimes youd take a wrong turn and end up in a group of mobs 20 levels above your current level. Yeah its scary but its exhilirating too. Sometimes someone would come along and save you. And then, if you were lucky, youd get lost together. This, along with the ability to level up without much incentive to pq, was a FUNDAMENTAL change in the games direction. These songs hit us hard, we who played before the big update, because we remember getting fucking lost in orbis and not being able to afford the ride back. We remember the people we met waiting at the ellina station trying to get to their job advancement. We remember wandering around aimlessly in the towns waiting for friends to come online. We remember trying to look cool in the hunting ground even if we werent hitting the biggest damage numbers. And it saddens me that people now walk by without even a second glance. The free market is empty. PQ entrances are mostly barren. Truly, the magic that maplestory once had in their formula is gone. People still play the game but the social aspect of it shriveled up and died.

Now currently, making +7 on Adamantium Shield.

I remember being in El Nath in my Lv 50s, trying to fight Yetis and YnP's pre-BB. Was scary as hell fighting these strong monsters.
