- This isn't an installation video, just a vlog about my car and Ken. Special thanks to Kennaro for coming out to join me in my vlog & also helping me out with installing them. Also I acknowlegde that i did NOT mention what's the power increase. For the Borla it increase 15percentHP and if my calculation isn't wrong that's 21++HP for the Corksport is about 10++HP, they provided a chart showing an increase from 155HP to 167HP+

Hi peeps, so sorry that i forgotten to mention the increase. So here's what i know, Borla claims to increase 15% HP and after i calculated, that is about 21++HP (I'm sorry if i made a mistake, let me know if my calculation is wrong). Corksport on the other hand, give about 10++HP. (You can check it out on Corksport Website as they show the test) Overall performance for me, i felt a slight increase of power when I was driving w the Borla. I hope this answer your question guys! Where did you find the percentage? I don't see it when I look at part on their website. I'm very interested in it , but because this is an axle back and not a cat back, I'm confused about the 15% power increase.

MTJY I see, thank you. I believe this is talking about borla systems in general, not this specific model. From what I understand and from what some knowledgable people have told me, the axel back doesn't not increase performance, just looks and noice output unlike the cat back system. Thank you again :) I have a lot more research to do.
+faruuba it should increase a little bit, because even corksport axleback claims to increase 12HP. Anyways, i'm getting a cat mid pipe to go w the borla. But also i'm learning day by day too, which i'm not a professional to guarantee anything! Thanks tho!

There is no way just an exhaust on a N/A 2.0L is going to make 21 HP. Probably closer to half of that. The main thing is the sound is much louder and sounds better overall. Nice car.
you gain very little top end, like 7hp, and lose low end torque

Just installed my Borla Exhaust, I didnt realize there was such a difference between the two before I bought it so glad i went with Borla.
Where did you get it?
I went and bought it through amazon. I made sure I had the right axelback for my model and because of covid it took about 20 days to get here. Hope this helps

Judging from this video: I like the Corksport better than the Borla just because I'd like to maintain the gas efficiency of the car, it maintains a low profile, and it has a nice deep sound, not too rattle-ish. Thanks for the upload.

I've got the Borla on my 14' 6 speed. Only thing that I don't like is that the exhaust pipe kinda hangs down when I installed the pipes. Other then that. I love it

Dude! u guys r hilarious but over all hands down.. As for the jack, to release tension u gotta use the handle that comes with it. It is at the tip. haha. but dayyyyymnn! i love the noise!

1. Remove the handle
2. Insert the end of the handle over the release screw
3. Twist the handle

Much better way to work on the car. Jack up from the front crossmember if you want to lift the front. If you want to lift the back, there is a bump on the rear crossmember. Both points are the factory jack points, you can see this if you download the mazda shop manual. And using a drill as an impact? No good. Get even a 12V lithium craftsman impact for cheap, I think I paid $40. Then get an extendable 3/8" ratchet at walmart (stanley) or harbor freight to break bolts lose.

Is the Borla overall louder (cold start/normal idle) then the corksport? I was also looking at ultimate racing exhaust too. Did you hear how those sound?
+Tech Defender yeah borla is louder for sure. I did compare with ultimate racing but I like a little rumble on my exhaust if you know what mean, that's why I went w borla.
MTJY so the Borla gives off more of a rumble then ultimate racing? Which in your opinion had the deeper/lower sound?
+Tech Defender honestly I can't give you an actual answer for that. Since I don't have an ultimate racing, I saw their videos but I didn't like it. I always like how Borla sounds, which after I had my midpipe on, it sounds so aggressive! You should check out my latest video

Worst jack ever, that model is bad. Pep boys sells the same garbage in red. Get a real floor jack that has a nice flat rubber surface.
