Emili Rivas I’m a bartender. Don’t feel bad. Mojitos are delicious. But if the bar is super busy, it might be a good idea to either tip when you order or pick something that’s quicker to make. If I don’t have a ton of patrons, though, I’m happy to make someone a mojito. When you don’t have a million other things you need to be doing, they’re even kind of fun to make.
My trick for when people ask for their drink to be stronger: add a drop of liquor in the straw. The first drink tastes strong and keeps the guest happy. But I’m not giving them enough to mess up inventory.
In old mates defence. To me it sounded like he was offering them a free drink, when he said "You know what, let me mix you something special." So in that case it wouldn't be stealing their money.
If you are at a bar/club that is packed and you want to get great service and possibly free drinks. Find the bartender who is nice and working hard. Order your round and tip very nice, cash of course. When they see your face in the crowd, you will be taken care of. Worst case, you get far better service without waiting forever for an order. Just make sure they will be working all night! Take care of them and they will take care of you.
I have a secret I use that kind of puts the bartender in my pocket. When I order a drink I tip no less than $10 on the first round. With this method my drinks are always strong, I get free drinks, and I can even get them to hold my coat while I hit the dance floor. Lol this hasn't failed me yet.
Okay you guys are taking this wayyy out of proportion. Teens sneak into bars all the time. And we can’t forget that it is the bartenders RIGHT TO not serve someone alcohol. I got tons of free drinks from my dive bar. Literally just always tipped 30%. Whenever I was having bad days, a bit broke or just cuz. I'd get free shots, bottled beers and even pitchers. Always go to dive bars, get to know your bartenders and don't be an obnoxious drunk.
If you give me a non alcoholic drink because you don't think I look old enough, prepare yourself to get something you didn't asked for too. Tf's wrong with this guy
I thought the same exact thing of myself. I'm still kind of not the biggest fan of humanity 😄 but I currently work at a restaurant that sells Neapolitan pizza and Gelato and I like it 99% of the time. I think it depends on where you work and what your selling. Our prices are definitely on the high side. If you make it a point to come to the restaurant, you're not likely in a bad mood. And the pizza and gelato...Hell even the panini's...are truly delicious.
Your coworkers make or break a service industry job. Not the patrons. If you are working with a fun group of people, you can handle an entire bar full of assholes and still have fun.
Everybody that's mad at that guy doesn't understand that A. He's an experienced bartender and can probably tell the difference between a young looking adult and an underage person and B. *I once asked a bar tender to buy me a drink, she replied with "aren't you supposed to buy me a drink?" I said "Nope, it's not how I roll" She laughed and said "I like that" and bought me a drink.*
Dudes being 100. Lady’s suga coatin lol
How do you become a celebrity bartender?
Bernardo Brito lol
He’s not 🙄 he’s got braces at 50.
Standing up in a bedroom holding a bottle of champagne like a servant for a whole night while two people chill out and have fun. "It don't get any better than that buddy"
That guy is gross. He admitted to committing a *crime* and giving people extra strong drinks if they're hot
chickenalpaca03 *they’re
@@mnq299 thanks!
chickenalpaca03 no problem, i agree with you 💗
Explanation for my extra strong mixed drinks ... finally an answer
He is so so creepy!!! The story about the bedroom made me cringe. He's disgusting.
“The joy I found in it....is EAVESDROPPING” 😂😂😂😂👌 100% reminds me of the janitor from breakfast club
I FEEL SO BAD FOR ORDERING MOJITOS ALL THE TIME IT’S MY FAVORITE DRINK I AM SORRI
Emili Rivas
I’m a bartender.
4:40 making the best out of everything *i love it*
Adult: looks like teen
**shows ID**
Adult: Can I get the tequila?
Bartender: Well, yes. But actually, *n o.*
people actually disgusting hating on this guy that seems super nice.
This mans is so MESSY. I love it 😂😂
My trick for when people ask for their drink to be stronger: add a drop of liquor in the straw. The first drink tastes strong and keeps the guest happy. But I’m not giving them enough to mess up inventory.
In old mates defence. To me it sounded like he was offering them a free drink, when he said "You know what, let me mix you something special." So in that case it wouldn't be stealing their money.
Exactly! 😋😋😋
I hate anyone who yells to get the attention when there are clearly those who have waited longer.
That guys really living the life☺️
If you are at a bar/club that is packed and you want to get great service and possibly free drinks. Find the bartender who is nice and working hard. Order your round and tip very nice, cash of course. When they see your face in the crowd, you will be taken care of. Worst case, you get far better service without waiting forever for an order. Just make sure they will be working all night! Take care of them and they will take care of you.
Amen! :)
Some people just don't look their age. If they provide ID showing that they are older than they look, they should be able to purchase the beverage.
*the joy that I felt from it is eavesdropping* lol
I have a secret I use that kind of puts the bartender in my pocket. When I order a drink I tip no less than $10 on the first round. With this method my drinks are always strong, I get free drinks, and I can even get them to hold my coat while I hit the dance floor. Lol this hasn't failed me yet.
Tye that’s the way to do it. I tended through college and a good number of patrons tip heavily up front to reserve elite service. Smart lady!
@@Rachel_Ryder lol I didn't know it was a thing. I just thought it was something that I discovered.
Okay you guys are taking this wayyy out of proportion. Teens sneak into bars all the time. And we can’t forget that it is the bartenders RIGHT TO not serve someone alcohol. And most people would be able to tell if the drink has vodka in it or not if they are really a legal drinking age 😂. So y’all tripping for what??😂😂
Okay, I understand that the guy not believing the person being 21 is unethical but he was a really nice guy. Bartending since 1998 what a dedicated man.
Their advice applies to any restaurant. Be nice, be empathetic, be caring, be kind, be courteous, and you’ll get better service!
Is it just me but I would love to sit down with Cam have a beer and listen to some great stories.
Hope you look 21 or older or Cams gunna be giving you O'douls
Love the shirt Cam!
Oh yeah, you snap your fingers or clap at me, you’re gonna see just how slowly I can move
Free drink?
Stole it, then you finna have a free drink...🍻💰
If you give me a non alcoholic drink because you don't think I look old enough, prepare yourself to get something you didn't asked for too. Tf's wrong with this guy
You guys should do a video about servers because working in a restaurant can be crazy......coming from a server commenting this.
Man imagine drinking all those screwdrivers then the placebo kicks in and you start walking around like half spinning screw
Remind me to leave if that dude is working at any parties I go to.
The girl seems so nice and chill with
I'm not a fan of most people. There is no way I could function in the service industry.
The type of bartending he does the host picks up the bill, its not like each individual pays for their drinks so no one's losing money over that.
How to get free drinks: Be young, be good looking, be flirtatious, be female.
Steven D it’s true
dont be bitter steven. men get treated like human beings and get paid more, at least let women get the free drinks
@@seventeenblack_3666 they don't get paid more the wage gap is a mith
@@morganlarson1913 Because of people like you feminism is a joke now. Do you also believe that manspreading mansplaining the wage gap and the pink tax are real because i wouldn't expect you to be that intelligent.
Steven D
Hey now. Some of us bartenders are giving free drinks to young, good looking, flirtatious men. Some people are gay, Karen!
She is SO adorable!
No one:
Cam Montgomery freaking jr: the joy I find in bartending is eeeavesdropping. 3:36
I’m a great tipper & the old fashion is my drink. It sucks that not everyone wants to make it. At my regular spots I do about 40 to 50% tip minimum
The girl looks like an anime character! She was on point!
I'm 22 and look 16, got kicked out of a club line because bouncer said my ID was fake. I carry around 2 forms of ID now just for that extra bit of proof. I avoided going to LCBO and bars for years because of bartenders being rude and condescending. I've also had my fair share of drinks where I was convinced there was no alcohol in it... was I ripped off? Is this even something I as a consumer should be careful about?? How do you even avoid something like this?
This just made me want to go out and drink
This is unrelated to the video, but I love that bartender girl's voice. It's so soft, smooth, and soothing.
She makes music!
@@ishouldhelpthisguy does she have a RUclips channel?
“Here I was, pouring champagne to Farrah Fawcett. It don’t get no better than that buddy.” Um I’m thinking of several ways it could 😳
Name ONE! ;)
The only times I got free drinks was when you mention it's your birthday and they might give you one. I have a sister that is a bartender, so her and her friends make me good drinks, so I don't have to worry about getting a weak one.
I feel like Cam can be anybody’s best friend bc he looks like he’s really funny
He IS! :)
My least favourite drink to make would be the Pina colada. My worst pet peeve would be when people snap their fingers, whistle or are very rude to our food severs who are girls. Aside from that though I absolutely love being a bartender. Some of the people that you meet are absolutely amazing. I really love hearing their stories about their life and all that stuff.
the dude is hilarious even though he can be a bit judgemental 😂
One time a bartender asked me for a tampon, but I didn't have any. Went next door to cvs and bought her a box and she gave me free beer all night lol
You’re seeing people at their vulnerablest
*me pooping in the urinoir*
tbh Cam just has such a similar personality to Bill Nye the science guy
“You don’t look 21 so I’m not giving you alcohol” uh wtf
Keii Bee why does everyone think this is bad. ITS ILLEGAL TO SERVE SOMEONE ALCOHOL IF YOU THINK THEY ARE UNDERAGE. yes he shouldn’t lie about giving them alcohol yes he should ask for another piece of ID. But focus on the right bit at least
As someone who works for a well known chain of British pubs, I can relate to this, not as much as them, but pretty close
