  • This Mitsubishi diesel engine had zero compression in the middle cylinder. We tear it down to find out a problem with a valve and do a low cost rebuild on it.

Dude, you have put a lot of effort into that splitter. Keep on chugging on. And I'm enjoying the content

Govenor falling of the fuel pump is a problem on this engine, has probably happend several times before, thats why you Are finding pins in your oil pan.

It happend to my excavator yesterday. Thats how i find your video. The pin securing the govenor to the fuel pump fell off. About 20 min into your video you Are showing the securing pin. After some research i found out this engine Are notorious for having this problem!

Same thing happened on our mini ex with the L3E last week. Came across your video after finding the spring hanging loose on the governor tie rod. Thanks for the video.

Good video, those parts/pieces in the engines seems like sabotage. My guess is someone intentionally put that in the oil fill prior to you buying it. You bought it at auction, people suck. Plus when you first started it up it didn't have any knock...i know it seems ridiculous but how would those peices end up there

That is possible, it isn’t out of the question but I don’t think we will ever know the actual reason.
