This is just a reminder Konrad named his lightning claws "mercy and forgiveness",
so yes, "Nostramo local killed warlord with Mercy and Forgiveness"
He didn't name them, his legion did.
When GW couldn't decide if they wanted the backstory to like Batman or the Joker so they chose both.
The Punisher Primarch.
Pan 0 Cogito Yup. This.
Pan 0 Cogito except that Nocturne immediately reverted back to the way it was the second Curze left
@@paleolithicpirate Yes. Because the source of terror left. This proves that all he did was terrorize people into submission, NOT fixing the source of crimes.
@Pan 0 Cogito ohhh holy crap, Nostramo/Nostromo…
He is currently hidden in Lion's closet waiting for the perfect time to spook him.
Wrong closet. He's hiding in Guilliman's closet, because he'd be even funnier to spook!

And while waiting to spook the Lion he is torturing the witch
But isn't the lion kinda in super stasis???

that gem sounds a whole lot like a soul stone
Does that means the Night Haunter was a warlock? I'm sorry... I should go...
yeah I was thinking that straight up sounds like a soul stone, but not only that the primarchs do seem to have very interesting origins if magnus true form is anything to go by cough demon cough cough
@40K Theories In the book, it is basically confirmed as a soul stone, as the reason why the events of Lord of the Night occur is that Aeldari attacks the vessel of Shal.
Konrad Curze has always been my favorite of the traitor primarchs, he was his own man and no one else's, he allowed the dark justice he loved so much to go full circle and get him in the end because that's how he saw life, that was his philosophy, that's how he exercised his will, in this dark universe we are all guilty of something, we all deserve to die by default, because none of us will ever do something so great as to earn the right to live, not even a primarch could because in the end they proved to be as fickle and fragile as any man, we are all just specks of dust suspended in space and time, only by suffering and punishment alone we deceive ourselves into thinking our life has an impact on the eternal darkness, we crave the pain, the punishment, a meaningful death, a deserved one, is the only thing we can aspire to in a meaningless universe.
i just imagined your profile pic character giving that super dark speech lol (great comment btw)
Wowwwowowowowow
Great description, having read The Night Haunter, even if it is possible for Curze to return, I'm not sure he would want to.

Given the 3 Nightlord Books are Cannon: The Nightlords Hate Chaos. They disrespect Nightlords who Pray to a God of the 4. They try to stay "pure" -ish. If the Night Haunter returns everything is possible! Maybe, just MEAYBE, he turns to his Father from knowing he was wrong. Or he kills Abbadon and wipes Terra from the Map. :D
Idk about wiping Terra off the map, from what I know about Dark Angels lore I imagine a re-united Night Lords Legion would warrant enough importance for the DA's to recall their second foundings and engage the Night Lords chapter on chapter
How was he wrong?
All Batman jokes aside, it would be hella sick if night haunter came back.
I want him to somehow get stuck in the Dark Eldar City of Commoragh. Imagine him becoming a dark shadow in that realm.
@@berserkape1014 omg yes they've always been far too safe in their shithole realm.
The amount of lore this universe has is staggering. I'd say it even dwarfs star wars.
Oat lord I’d say it contains the lore of Star Wars (albeit slightly altered) in some star system distant from terra where all the events happened in old night (long long ago)

Excellent
I wonder if he would even want to come back. He saw his death as vindication, to be trapped in the spirit stone may be viewed by him as being denied his absolution.
“The corona could very well be the key to his potential rebirth.” It’s time!
So glad to see this. Maybe soon Space Batman will be Space Frankenstein.
In a way, it sounds like he took notes from the daemon who trapped Fulgrim. And frankly, a lot of planets should be shaking in their boots. Behave, stay civil and obedient. Otherwise, the Night Haunter will come for you and skin you.
Ave Dominus Nox
Space Punisher becomes Space Franken-Castle?
Great Video as Always. Konrad is the only Primarch I want to return from the Traitors side. Can you imagine the lore and models?
Also, have you you ever considered doing a series of how the Primarchs would be if they ended up on different planets, given their characteristics.
Definitely agreed on Magnus. I'd also be curious about Omegon, assuming he's still alive. We don't even really know what side the Alpha Legion is truly on and having one of their Primarchs return could finally bring that out into the open.
tbh I'd like to see most of them come back. Fulgrim (hatred towards Chaos for making him kill Ferrus Manus. its a stretch, but i want it.), Perturabo (paranoia from the warp and realizing that it was his enemy all along), Magnus (because hes a nerdy strawberry failing to do the right thing) and Mortarion (because he fuckin hates magic). I feel Alpharius, Curze and Perturabo could form a neutral union that would be pretty cool

What would be fun, if Guiliman and the reborn (and probably cleansed of the worst) Conrad make allies and establish an extra faction?

See, I normally refer to Kurze and his sons as the “Shite Lords”...but this video actually kinda made me want to see Kurze return. BUT! Only on the condition that, as Sahal dons the Corona Nox and the Night Haunter awakens, there’s an utterly out-of-place flash of lightning and roll of thunder.
Oh,and the theme song for the old “Gargoyles” TV show has to be playing in the background.
definitely one of the more interesting theories would be bad ass of true
Honestly to me it seems that Kurze was just wanting to die after living with his condition would drive any mortal man crazy let alone a primarch who has all the more awareness and lifespan. Maybe this was a brief period of semi lucidity where he realizes that this was the only way to end his suffering
Fabius Bile could just cook up a new, soulless clone of Konrad if the Night Lords said pretty please.
Dude, this is a pretty badass theory!
_Ave Dominus Nox_ I knew this would be your angle! All the pieces are there.
Or the Night Lords could get Fabius BIle to create a new body for Konrad and by placing the Corona Nox on it's head the Night Haunter is reborn into a new body.
I just want a 40k Nighthaunter model. However it gets done.
I love the idea of him going all Lord Genome and being a sassy head in a jar.
For some reason, Cell's voice might've been a better fit for Conrad... but that's just me.
Also, Space Batman is going be one gigantic "oh crap" in the galaxy when he wakes once more...
There is another far more horrific possibility you have not considered Philosoraptor, if the Soul Stone in the Corona Nox indeed carries the Night Haunters soul it will have had centuries to fester and warp itself within its confines. Essentially Konrad would theoretically become an imprisoned daemonic entity. This would mean that anyone who would wear that magical murder tiara would effectively act as a host body
I can understand the gem being a Spirit Stone. If I saw The Night Haunter coming at me, I'd shit myself a crystal.
This is a pretty spooky theory
2:45 thats the most hysterical Dracula voice ive ever heard
ave dominus nox!
FOR SANGUINIUS AND THE EMPEROR! Oh wait wrong vampires...
Konrad: WHAT... PEOPLE DIE WHEN THEY'RE KILLED!?
I might have missed it, but what about a theory that only one of Konrad's personalities (assuming he does suffer from multiple personality disorder) is sealed in the spirit stone. That's an interesting way to maybe have him being "redeemed".
That doesnt bode well, considering the text described it as akin to the nightlord. So just maybe it was the Nighthaunter that was "saved"
I love it and it is awe inspiring. Usually I dislike talks about dead Primarchs returning back from death, but this makes a lot of sense.
Love the content and narration vato! As always. Your channel deserve more subscribers. Never disappointed with your videos!!
I think it would be more interesting if instead of being reborn he returned as some sort of phantasm, becoming a literal night _haunter._
Would he hang out with skull ghost ferrus
@@MrReich1918
It's not about hanging out with Skull Ghost Ferrus, it's about Skull Ghost Ferrus hanging out with you whether you like it or not.
What makes you think Mr Cruze WANTS to come back? The dude's life was torture. grimdark, violent, horrific, psychic torture.
This might be a case of, "thanks for the revive i really didnt want, i chose that crown because it looked pretty, oh boy here i go killing again."
the guys life was crap, not as bad as lets say Angron's (at least he was a frothing 'zerker most of the time, thanks to The Nails) the only jollies Konrad got was butchering and horrifying people.
hey , you should do a video on what possibly hive fleet Tiamet is doing . they are actually defending a planet and building a huge biostructure on the planet . not just stripping it
maybe founding a civilization...by building the first true Hive City ;P
Thank you for posting such great videos!
As primarch aren't entirely physical or psychic but both. Yes probably it would most likely require a ritual and more than a few corpses. But more interesting is the possibility that he could be resurrected into two different bodies on as konrad curze and one as the night haunter
The best way to describe kruze is the quote from blacklist, "Raymond 'Red' Reddington : A farmer comes home one day to find that everything that gives meaning to his life is gone. Crops are burned, animals slaughtered, bodies and broken pieces of his life strewn about. Everything that he loved taken from him - his children. One can only imagine the pit of despair, the hours of Job-like lamentations, the burden of existence. He makes a promise to himself in those dark hours. A life's work erupts from his knotted mind. Years go by. His suffering becomes complicated. One day he stops - the farmer who is no longer a farmer - sees the wreckage he's left in his wake. It is now he who burns, he who slaughters, and he knows in his heart he must pay.
love your vids 40k theories, keep up the good work
When Fulgrim returns, how big will his rack be?
"As a result, the corona could very well be the key to his potential rebirth" - uh oh
It has been so long since I read the excellent Lord of the Night book that I had forgotten that it very strongly hints that Kurze's soul is indeed trapped in a soul gem in that crown. Given the regenerative powers of primarchs I could see if a Night Lord donned the crown that Kurze's spirit would be able to reshape the body into his old primarch self. I would love to Kurze back no matter how they get him back. Ave Dominus Nox.
Konrad is just missunderstod
Yvraine prevented Guilliman from dying and made a number of rubric marines whole. If Curze's soul was in a soulstone, there's already a mechanism in the fluff for it.
haha i like the Transilvanian inspiration for voicing Konrad Kurze, i always see him as the 40k version of dracula.
I didn’t know Konrad was Russian Sylvester Stallone
Very intriguing! I would love for Conrad to come back as a chaos driven wraith knight... That would be awesome.
Chaos needs their own something to go against these new imperial knights... rather than just renegade copies.
Kurze was never on Horus's side. He planed on killing Horus and taking the Galaxy for himself
I thought he never had any allegiance to the traitors at all.He only followed Horus cause he was the only one that tried to understand him, which Cruze decided was more than what his 17 other brothers did.
Leo Nidas How do you figure? Many Night Lords war bands are led by a Chaos champion.
Head Librarian Night Lords that have succumbed to deamonic possession are generally looked down upon by their brothers. And when a famous example of a Night Lord being accused of working with deamons; he told his brothers that Night Lords command deamons to aid them in battle, not bargain or offer up their souls for favor.
As for the Raptor Cults; well they do in some way worship Chaos; however, none have ever given themselves over fully to Chaos. They always stayed in control.
After the death of Curze, what was left of the legion split in multiple warbands. Like many warbands and chapters that have turned from the Imperium, some turn to Chaos worship out of necessity or simple desire. Those that do turn to Chaos worship are usually looked down upon since they forget their purpose. Even though the Night Lords have turned "traitor", most didn't turn to Chaos. Best example for that is their Gene Seed. Unlike those who worship Chaos, theirs have remained remarkably pure, even compared to many loyalist marines.
@@lord2529 Curze only Sided with Horus because of his opinions on the Emperor. After He was judged by the Emperor because he bombarded Nostramo's capital to punish them. He called the Emperor a weak fool.
He was definitely against the Emperor. And in his last words. He still reffered to him as "The False Emperor"
Clicked on this so hard my mouse fell into the warp. Endless orgasmic joy would be mine if they brought back the Night Haunter.
Space marine Batman with predator claws ... yeah that screams 80’s
An eldar construct posessed by Konrad? This is certainly going to help the blade ears in defending their craft world. And will help them enjoy a world of torture and death in the aftermath.
My money is on Fabius Bile finding some Lost Tech and doing the whole Palpatine Clone body reanimation thing.
i love how pretty much all of these Primarch revival videos have Bob involved in some form or another.
This is why the night haunter and the 8th is the best. He truly proved he was just by his death. He said all along that evil doers must be destroyed by any means necessary. When the false emperor sent an assassin he proved that Konrad was justified all along.
The 8th is the only legion I respect because they threw off the shackles of the corpse god without bending the knee to the gods of chaos. They are the only humans who are truly free.
Burn heretic!
God Emperor of Mankind get off your lazy boy recliner and come do it yourself.
Can you elaborate on why Konrad was such a smartass when he was going to die? Did he see himself as a vigilante turned evildoer which is why the Emperor sent an assassin after him? Was Konrad just happy that he proved the point that all evil people have to die? if so, it sounds a bit weird but I have never read a Night Lords book. From which one could I start?
You do realise that Horus was the one who sent the assasin in the Emperors name, knowing it would turn his legion to Chaos? The Emperor never betrayed Konrad.
@@Warrior_warlock The 8th didn't turn to Chaos.
A new Night Haunter versus a Sanguinor would be a brawl worth putting down. Returning the Primarchs to 40k has to include this.
One of your best theories, sir. Would be sick if even in part true.
2:15 Konrad Curze allowed himself to be murdered by the Callidus assassin M'shen [image of a latex clad fem fatal pops up on screen], "ahhhhh, I see" {mind in the gutter}.
Alpharius is in the spirit stone.
Well, after this I see the Corona Nox as more than a crown, but as a crown that contains Konrad's soul. Imagine if the Imperium could get it, they could bring Konrad back to the Imperium. Also Konrad has a Romanian accent in my eyes.
Conrads resurrection could lead to a form of redemption as it would disprove his long held belief that the future the emperor forced on him was set in stone and that he was master of his own fate, he might not join the imperium but he would no longer shackle himself to chaos
of all the primarches that should have been put down instead of being given charge of an interstellar military, this guy is high on the list
What if Zso Sahaal returns to the Legion and places the crown on Decimus's head?
Fiction's most horrific version of Batman...the Night Lords are his Robins. Lion El'Jonson is his Bane.
The possible returning of little Konrad has great story potential. In that he wasnt allied or alinged with Chaos at all, and that all he ever wanted is to have his revenge upon the Emperor and by proxy the Impirium. Meaning that he was overall an renegade rather than traitor Primarch.
With his return there could be the formation of a third Human based factions of legitmate renegade and sessonists who arent for or with Chaos but merely against the tyrannicle rule of the Impirium - but still over all pro Humanity and human advancement.
If GW ever do a live action 40k film then Curze should be played by Tommy Wiseau
Order Nodificationus, reporting
p.s. maybe a chaos crown? could explain the his spilt personality & has been shown to be able to happen with the blade & Fulgrim
Hollowberserker28 ok never mind then, tnx
Id be down with him becoming the new nighthaunter. Means a cool new traitor model would possibly come out.
It certainly does add to the possibility that what he meant when he spoke to M'shen, if he is beyond death, then he cannot be punished, and all his doings are unpunishable.
Even if he could I doubt he would. He died hating his legion and himself for all they had done. His only comfort was that after all was said and done he would be proven right. He was finally punished for his crimes like he had done to so many others before him.
I have been tearing through your videos, and I love them. Is there any chance you could show your sources more often? I’m a black library fanatic, and would love to read along, so to speak.
Man he was so twisted one of the better traitors, would love to see this dude come back. Not really possibly story wise but man
It looks like the Night lords should borrow Fabius Bile's clone of the Night Hunter to bring him back.
I have heard a theory saying that conrad had one of his sons fixed to look like himself. And is still out there somewhere
im hoping malal brings him back to lead his legion
Biggest question is if Konrad does return, if he continues to be traitor or return loyal
mobiuszero Neither, I'm pretty sure, as per the books, that he hated his own legion and actions during the Horus Heresy. He wanted to be punished. He was self-destructive in the end and as said in the video let himself be killed, to be some kind of twisted martyr.
If he comes back, he'll probably be a traitor "marauding vigilante pirate". Raiding and killing according to his twisted sense of justice.
The Night Legion does have striking resemblance to the Vampire clans in Fantasy, regarding their role in the fight against the Arch Enemy. They are neutral enemies-ishh and sometimes help the "good" side.
Definitely interesting though. 😎
pretty sure Curze`s soul would turn on the eldar in a wraith construct
AVE DOMINUS NOX!!! I must say i like the idea of our Primarch returning as a wraith construct. As for placating the Legion.... I doubt it at best. The Talonmaster is one of the few Nightlords out there who would willingly give up their souls for the Primarch to live again. Oh, and, Remleiz, I like your voicing of Konrad Curze better.
I wonder with what limited knowledge of I have of the Night Haunter... He seemed to have a split personality disorder. Is it possible that "Night Haunter" died by the Assassin, while Konrad Curze survived in the stone? As well with his view on justice, is it possible with what he'd learned over the years, to put them into a more positive way? Would his loyalist brother even forgive him?
Batman in 40k
If Batman became The Batman Who Laughs.
When bats and joker has a child... thinking about it send shivers down my spine.
NANANANANA KONRAD!
Batman x Punisher.
I think it would be interesting if instead of Konrad himself being resurrected as the Night Haunter a powerful Night Lords Chaos Lord unites the warbands into one again and takes up the mantle of the Night Haunter(almost like how Robin is passed from one person to another)
Get bile to supply a cloned body and bam, Kurze is back.
Is Konrad Curze based off Vlad the Impaler? the opening description of him and his deeds certainly gave off that vibe.
Any good theories on loyal traitor-legion primaris marines or something juicy on Cawl?
The sad thing is , you can easily flip the traitors and loyalists around. When I read the horus heresy books, I noticed that most if not all the traitor primarchs have shit happen to them and the chaos gods just decided to take advantage of their "humanity".
There is a third option. One of the Night Lords convinces Fabius Bile to Clone a new body for Kurz. That way he could return in his entirety.
His crown is called "Corona knocks"? Well, it would seem he's made a visit to Terra!
I only wish my dear Primarch would return. The physical manifestation of fear and justice is exactly what the galaxy needs.
Maybe there is some luciusthing going one and the dude with the crown become konrad also physicaly
If Konrad returns, that proves his killing was *NOT* vindication.
How interesting would it be to see the effect of his rebirth on his psyche.
What did that run priest say he saw? "a darkness that strikes from within" when describing living primarchs and that to me sounds like a definition of fear.
The full quote is "Even so, I saw a sleeper entombed in rock, and a white storm that rode upon a chariot of lightning. A shadow rises to the call of the Allfather’s messengers, a darkness that strikes from within."
The Darkness that strikes from within, to me at least, seems to suggest that someone will betray the Imperium as the only Primarchs he seems to be describing are Lion and Jaghatai.
A shadow rises to the call of the allfather's messengers, to me, means Corvus Corax.
I feel like he's just listing off primarchs as afterwards he goes off to list the traitor primarchs. A darkness that strikes from within could also be omegon/alpharius but I feel as though they would not allow themselves to be seen and the lore fits in with this but it would fit in with your interpretation.
5:27 FERRUS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Yo, the Eldar intercepted the assasin's ship as she tried to escape with the crown, I think that the Eldar are trying to acquire the spirit stone that holds the Night Haunter... maybe to bring him back?
But what purpose would bringing back Konrad achieve if he cant have his original glorious body?
technically he could have, but a cloned 1, courtasy of Fabolous Bile
This is the only "Night Haunter is alive" theory that I have heard that makes any sense at all.
There is a mechanism for his continued existence provided in the theory.
The biggest problem is that Konrad wanted to die. He wanted to die during Angels of Caliban, he wanted to die during Ruin Storm, he wanted to die when the assassin came for him.
Unless he did not know that the stone was a spirit stone, he would not have left the crown on.
Then there is the problem of Konrad having to come back in some sub-standard body. I am not a fan of this idea. The Night Haunter was a really cool character. He was the dark maddened justicar of the 31st millenium. Why are we trying to bring back a cheap, knock-off Curze?
He was feared, he was awesome, he was the bogey-man.
I think that he would start hunting down his good-for-nothing sons even if he did come back.
Wait, how is this for a theory. The Night Haunter comes back sane after his 10,000 years within the spirit stone. He is now a dark avenger hunting the forces of Chaos like Kaiser Soze.
That would be fun to write.
King Baldwin IV
I definitly think, Conrad would take distaste in his " weakern chaotic sons"
If anyone has a theory, it's ADB, but we haven't even gotten an answer out of him yet regarding the fate of Sevatar.
Alan Bligh had a theory regarding Sevatar though.
I always thought Konrad Curze would be voiced by Michael Wincott (who voiced the Prophet of Truth in Halo 2).
