Rapid fire sticky 2's do a total of 75 KO damage, not 100. The 2nd shot has halved damage and KO damage. Also, true spare shot has a 30% proc chance, not 40%.
Very interesting build. Nice way of explaining the razor sharp charm+artillery 5 vs 3pc narga bonus+artillery 3. More ammo reserves means more DPS in a sense instead of pure damage numbers. Used the build on the rajang LBG and got good results. I dropped the free elem lvl 2 though and added agitator 4 and peak 3 to compensate for the artillery 3 along with eating felyne bombardier attack L. The damage output was almost the same with artillery 5 + feyline bombardier attack L but with more ammo left after the hunt. Thanks for this..!

75+37=112 damage on this with Sticky 2s. This is less than Garuga Art3 Sticky3, which hits around 119-126 fairly easily, while being able to move and shoot. Rajang LBG (if you are cool with the recoil in this video) can be ran with 161damage(Art5, Peak3, Attack4, Food,Seed,Demondrug), Earplugs5, Health Boost3, Trueshot2, without god decos! With Zorah A helm/chest, B legs, Ruiner belt, Brute Tigrex gloves. 161 SpareShot vs 112 True Spare Shot is no contest. On average you'll have around 100 stickies with SS and 125 with TSS. 16,905 total damage vs 14,000, this takes longer to do less total damage with lowered accuracy. Garuga can do better with Sticky3 (use Sticky2 on KO'd) with better mobility and accuracy and Rajang LBG just piledrives far more damage for the recoil.
Not everything in this game is dmg bro, i also use the rajang when i party play but when i go solo i always go whit this guy's build, it's WAY more defensive and safe.
@@ForgottenShinobi11 Increasing my damage by nearly 50% is worth the cost of dropping Divine Blessing 5 to 3. If increasing Divine Blessing by 2 is worth dropping about 1/3rd of your damage, then different strokes for different folks lol.
@@anniedarkheart5224 its not only the 2 divine blesing, its also the evasion extender and interval that is a big deal especially for rajang that makes you able to dodge the entire slam of his ...
@@ForgottenShinobi11 Which slam are you needing evade window and extender to dodge? Is it his leaping slam that ends in a lightning aoe? Because that gets avoided 100% of the time easily (not needing WOW evade window timings) just by not having Recoil +3. With your concerns, the over abundant dependency on minor defensive skills gets easily replaced by having Recoil +2 on your shots instead of Recoil +3. Garuga Sticky 3 would be your more defensive platform while still doing more damage. Try it bro. Low damage recoil +3 sticky 2s is a bad weapon platform. If you want survivability, the Garuga Sticky 3 gun gives you all the defenses just from having Recoil +2 on Sticky 3. Everything dies easily to it and it survives all day without depending on getting hit. Why are you prioritizing Evade Window and Evade Extender WHEN YOU STUN YOURSELF EVERY TIME YOU FIRE YOUR LOW DAMAGE SHOTS. The problem of the Recoil +3 is creating an scenario where you're depending on other unneeded things to make up for the poor weapon platform. If you correct the fundamental issues, you won't have to sacrifice even more to make something terrible into less than mediocre. Nothing Rajang does puts any pressure on a Garuga Sticky 3 with Recoil +2. Nothing. It doesn't even take the effort of having to (ab)use Evade Window to make up for the garbo build. If you prioritize safety, that would be your ideal sticky gun. Btw, it also does more damage. *shrug*
I even made a build based on your preference for safety: Zorah A Helm+Chest Brute Tigrex A Gloves Ruiner B Belt Zorah B Legs. Razor/SpareShot Charm This gives the very safe Recoil +2, Earplugs 5, Health Boost 3. Presuming Earplugs 5 is still a heavy preference. Tremor is nice but Flinch Free is super great when trying to put mines during group hunts lol. With Food, Might Seed, Demondrug, Artillery5, Peak 2, and native Attack Boost 4 the sticky gun hits for around 130 without Attack augments and custom mods. So if you really like the gun, it'll do a bit more when augmented/customed. Trueshot 2 is still nice. With 2 Release/Protection or Earplugs/Protection decos, the build can also run Divine Blessing 3 (one can get slotted in with a 1slot deco). Going to Recoil +2 will give you a highly defensive platform to build off of since 0 attacks Rajang do puts pressure on it (compared to the 1 attack Rajang does that can threaten Recoil+3) , while also enjoying a ~16% damage increase that has more accuracy at longer ranges. Also, don't forget Garuga has really good poison ammo for even more damage capacity! Enjoy hunting, cyaaaaaa
Should use the zora magdaros armor instead of the nargacuga armor. The zora magdaros armor gives you lvl 5 artillery so your sticky will do more damage and it has some earplugs in it already. You can use the charm that gives you spare shot skill.
For more agility you can try blackwing bowgun ii, the recoil from rapid sticky 2 is very awesome. You can shoot while walking but it has much lower raw damage.
They have the same recoil. Both are rapid fire recoil 4. The damage difference isn't that big also plus Garuga can have 6 custom mods for damage (each gives 1 or 2 damage per level) and is a rarity 11 so it can have more mod slots. I have 2, one that I use for pierce with affinity mods and the other for sticky with attack and sometimes health regen. Beo is another lbg I made 2 of, one for ice with element mods and the other for spread with affinity and attack.

you can still use Rajang LBG with this build, and sticky 3 is indeed slightly better on dps. but i feel sticky 2 more pleasant to play due to the Long Barrel mod and one extra ammo slot =3
aquCHAOS doesn’t long barrel just increase exhaust damage? I wouldn’t worry yourself too much bringing that for stickies. Might as well throw on counter mine if you have that kinda of extra slots available.
Are you playing solo? If not your teammates might not be carrying their weight. Otherwise if you do all the important stuff aka bring all the materials for combining, make use of the lbg mines, make sure your lbg has rapidfire for sticky 2, have artillery 3 and true spareshot, or regular spareshot and artillery 5, you shouldn't really run out of ammo unless you miss a lot. There's also the option of getting more raw damage with things like attack up, agitator, peak performance etc. You could easily fit a good amount of them into a set, since you don't really need divine protection or evade window, as lbg is a very mobile weapon to begin with and sticky doesn't have a critical distance, thus making it an extremely safe playstyle even without any defensive skills.
@@Failzz8 The low damage capacity on this build means it's harder to kill monsters before running out of stickies. Garuga Sticky3 runs higher damage, better ranged accuracy and better mobility while firing (Using Sticky 2s on downs increases damage capacity). Meaning when you run out of stickies, you've done potentially 3,000 more total damage to the monster for free in less shots.
With the high evasion level, it wouldn't hurt to drop the Earplugs entirely in favor of more damage skills, in fact, both pieces of golden lune are virtually pointless unless you 'constantly' take hits or neglect to dodge at all. Aside from that, sick build 😎👍

True spare shot is NOT 40% chance it is 30% and normal spare shot is 20%. If it was 40% that would be broken. Almost 50% chance to not spend ammo? Lol and also 2 sticky 2 does NOT do roughly the same damage as 1 sticky 3 seeing as how with artillery 3 my sticky do 124 and 145 with artillery 5 where as you're only doing about 100 per 2 total, 25-45 more damage times 9 rounds of sticky 3 auto reload is 1,116-1,305 MORE damage per mag than that LBG.

Unlike Apothecary, however, Impact Mantle not only applies stun to attacks that normally do not apply any but also increases stun for attacks that already inflict it. Apothecary doesn't increase status unfortunately.
I have searched online and people seem to say that the Ten Thousand Volts (Rajang LBG) is better compared to the one shown. I have yet to try it but does anyone know the differences?
Dude I'm legit crying. So I love the Bowgun, since base game and since I've ever know monster hunter from those PsP days. (but did not play it since psp till mhw on pc) But I always have hard time perfect iFrame away from death since I get used to Dark soul iFrame it was a lot easier and the lack of player skill too. Due to the fact that ranged weapon take a lot higher damage compare to melee in this game. So I build a lot of melee with tanky as shit (yes including some vampire saxe and it's blow), can take some savage hit. but after all my heart is always on bowguns. Found your video when it posted, try some. It was feel good but I don't really like rapid sticky that much. So I start adapt it to my own, got good feel on Rajang lbg with sticky3 since you can have two recoil mod. play it for day it's really feel good, but after all I still don't favor sticky that much it kinda cheat. So I adapt it to some spread 2 guns (luna/nergi lbg) and oh boy, that flow. Then I put Loyal Thunder in and now it destroy everything lol. (except vaal hazaak cuz fuck you that's why) And then Tobi hbg afterward for pierce 3 and garuga lbg for what ever the heck ammo you can put in. Running around the ground like a retard and roll over anything, (except smoke and big aoe ofc) Your video open my mind, flip my world change my entire experience of monster hunter. Ty. Oh and don't forget nergi hgb for scope normal 3 snipe.
actually pretty same here. MHP2 is the first MH game i ever played and was in favor of heroics rapid LBG back then. Then i started to play other weapons in other series and now in Iceborne, i found BGs becomes reliable weapons thanks to the insanely high damage from the MR monsters lol. I am also testing different BGs with different ammos recently =3
Is there any build similiar to this for the pre iceborn? We folks in the PC community is having a drought and I think fun builds like this will help a tons. Thankyou
Xenojiva classic 3 piece with Slot for Divine bless, Artillery, Eva window/Extend. Can't get anywhere near this efficiency or power though without iceborne gear or gems.
i can only assume the slot level isn't high enough, most of the more powerful mantles have small deco slots. MR 125 quest btw for that mantle. not ground that high myself yet
the ammo up skill is not mandatoary. you can still play this build, just with a bit higher reloading frequency. You can use this build without ammo up to farm release jewel btw, not a very rare jewel after all
2 levels of FE/AU gives you one extra shot of level 2 ammo types, level 3 FE/AU gives you one extra shot of level 3 ammo types (and elemental shots too IIRC?). So you should only need FE/AU level 2 for the build above? Please correct me if I am wrong.
Swap them out for literally anything, they don't benefit the build unless you neglect to pay attention and dodge. They give max health (pointless if you eat beforehand) divine protection (again, pointless considering the high evasion boost with Nargacuga) and Poison buildup. (Also virtually useless for the intent of the build)
@@connormcafee2130 Careful, max health is not pointless anymore, these days it'll actually stack on top of the 150 max health you get from food/max potions. I do agree that lbg doesn't need any defensive skills however.
Been thinking the same thing coz the blackwing bowgun with attack augment 1 and full damage mods gets to beat the base damage of jho lbg so I was kinda expecting an attack augment instead.
@@jnoirj3124 No it does not, sticky doesn't do impact/KO damage, sticky does blast damage and therefore is dependant on how many stickies you place on the monster, especially the head, but you can get a knock off by hitting it in the legs or back as well. But the mantle does not make it do more impact or KO buildup. If you want more KO buildup, use the power barrel for faster KO's, that's why its it's there.
@@smklvr69 Sticky is NOT blast damage, blast is entirely different. The sticky explosion will do KO damage when it hits the head and the impact mantle will increase it. Though you might want to just bring a long duration mantle (glider, bandit) with decorations for raw damage instead, like attack up or agitator.
@@Failzz8 if you obviously read my comment sticky doesn't do KO damage, it does BLAST damage modified by their base value for sticky 1,2 and 3, and then applies a KO BUILDUP...BUILDUP IS NOT DAMAGE. You're right for one part, though not entirely, Same as blast weapons that have blast STATUS on them, they have blast BUILD UP and is in-fact different from the BLAST DAMAGE that sticky rounds do.
@@smklvr69 I also call it "para damage" when referring to "para status buildup", so sure we can argue terminology there. Regardless, the question was if impact mantle helps knock out the monster with sticky ammo, which it absolutely does. I even went into the game and tested it, in the same anjanath investigation. First KO without impact mantle took 7 sticky 1 shots to the head, first KO with impact mantle took 4 sticky 1 shots. I did each test 3 times, and the results were consistent each time. You also can't knock out a monster with a sticky shot to any part other than the head, unless the sticky explosion somehow overlaps the head, for example if it's on the tail and the monster moves the tail close enough to its face when the actual explosion happens.
I’m a chargeblade main. But honestly the name won me over before I even clicked 😂.... but after watching 😳 time to level up and get an LBG 😤 Edit: you mentioned something about rajang lbg, is there a big difference or?
you can also use rajang LBG but personally i prefer the jho LBG, the reason is explained in the video at 12:08. regarding to ammo replenish, make sure you hit most of the sticky ammo, use wall hitting and wyvernblast as much as possible, and use sleep bomb at least twice. In general, you shall deal sufficient damage since all the above mentioned attack deals constant damage. In case you still have problem, the farcast is your friend, go back to the camp and re-fill everything =3
This build would be much better with peak performance/agitator instead of divine blessing, why would you want divine blessing when you have earplugs and evade window 5? You should literally never be getting hit, divine blessing is kinda pointless
Keyword is "should" .... Tempered monsters are big assholes that can sometimes oneshot you just for looking at them. So a 50% chance to reduce that onehot to not a one shot is awesome
the benifits from attack boosting skills are relatively low. 40 true attack only increase about 10 damage per ammo and you are not guarantee to trigger them all the time. personally i think it is not worth it. divine blessing is quite important if you are not a pro player and want to be avoiding accidentally onehot by the tempered ones =3

not completely sure about the chance, from my rough test, i get 40%, but it was from a small data pool. let's wait for the PC version and datamining. anyway, the chance of triggering the skill is pretty high =3

So I love the Bowgun, since base game and since I've ever know monster hunter from those PsP days. (but did not play it since psp till mhw on pc)
But I always have hard time perfect iFrame away from death since I get used to Dark soul iFrame it was a lot easier and the lack of player skill too.
Running around the ground like a retard and roll over anything, (except smoke and big aoe ofc)
Your video open my mind, flip my world change my entire experience of monster hunter.
Build at 14:17
Just wanted to make it clickable, i saw the intro
Does this gun still rapid fire or am i missing a jewel because it just shoots one at a time
Is there any build similiar to this for the pre iceborn? We folks in the PC community is having a drought and I think fun builds like this will help a tons. Thankyou
Xenojiva classic 3 piece with Slot for Divine bless, Artillery, Eva window/Extend. Can't get anywhere near this efficiency or power though without iceborne gear or gems.
@@SaintAdjacent Brachidios lbw also have stick ammo rapid fire too.
@@morenotavora1569 Brachydios IS AN ICEBORNE MONSTER
Why glider mantel with k.o deco instead of impact mantel with k.o deco ?
i can only assume the slot level isn't high enough, most of the more powerful mantles have small deco slots. MR 125 quest btw for that mantle. not ground that high myself yet
@@nonaG123 u can use 2 k.o deco if u want
Looks great, im gonna try this out. Any suggestion if i havent 2 release jewel?
the ammo up skill is not mandatoary. you can still play this build, just with a bit higher reloading frequency. You can use this build without ammo up to farm release jewel btw, not a very rare jewel after all
You can use an ammo up charm instead of earplugs. A level 2 is easy to make requiring base World materials.
@@aquCHAOS i have several of minds eye, artillery, bow charge plus, guard up, atk up, but only one release(in lv4 deco...) anyway thanks for tips!
Excited for Nioh 2?
need do some catch up, last time i saw it, it was more like Nioh 1.5 lol
When you put Fire Kunai Ninjitsu i thought you were going to run a Bombardier 5 and Dagger only build using the dagger to detonate bombs
if there is a reliable way to get dagger, i may consider about it, oh, wait, we can use slingers instead, lol
I don't understand how come you can kill any AT Elder... Low damage, Low Ammo Sustain. You always needs to get to base to reload.
High damage isn't everything
is there any benefit in maxing out free element/ammo up?
Subseven714 naw it caps at 3 shots
2 levels of FE/AU gives you one extra shot of level 2 ammo types, level 3 FE/AU gives you one extra shot of level 3 ammo types (and elemental shots too IIRC?). So you should only need FE/AU level 2 for the build above? Please correct me if I am wrong.
If I can't fight Golden Rathian yet what can I do to replace this build ?
Swap them out for literally anything, they don't benefit the build unless you neglect to pay attention and dodge.
They give max health (pointless if you eat beforehand) divine protection (again, pointless considering the high evasion boost with Nargacuga) and Poison buildup. (Also virtually useless for the intent of the build)
@@connormcafee2130 thanks !
@@n0vaart687 be aware, though, it will be dropping a safety net, so play with very careful attention to your hunt.
@@connormcafee2130 Careful, max health is not pointless anymore, these days it'll actually stack on top of the 150 max health you get from food/max potions. I do agree that lbg doesn't need any defensive skills however.
"Knocked out like a cake."
lol
yeah, feels good =3
How does health augment improve this build?
i brought the health augment, the recover amount for LBG is much less than HBG though ... better than nothing =3
As with the Earplugs issue I mentioned, health is a non-issue with high level evasion, this is also easily swapped for more damage skills.
Been thinking the same thing coz the blackwing bowgun with attack augment 1 and full damage mods gets to beat the base damage of jho lbg so I was kinda expecting an attack augment instead.
@@Oninzuka_Badjula indeed
Another fine build, ever think of speaking on video?
i will think about it lol
Does Impact Mantle work with Sticky??
Yes, so does the KO skill.
Jesus these people here let me explain it so you will understand....bLaSt DoEs nOt dO Ko DaMaGe. KO is not a damage type in the games but a STATUS!!!!
But honestly the name won me over before I even clicked 😂.... but after watching 😳 time to level up and get an LBG 😤
Edit: you mentioned something about rajang lbg, is there a big difference or?
He explains it in the video!
I Run out of ammo before I kill the target. Help.
you can also use rajang LBG but personally i prefer the jho LBG, the reason is explained in the video at 12:08. regarding to ammo replenish, make sure you hit most of the sticky ammo, use wall hitting and wyvernblast as much as possible, and use sleep bomb at least twice. In general, you shall deal sufficient damage since all the above mentioned attack deals constant damage. In case you still have problem, the farcast is your friend, go back to the camp and re-fill everything =3
aquCHAOS thanks a bunch
@@aquCHAOSI know you know but you forgot tell him that sticky has a cap and you can reach that cap with items as well so stacking skills isn't always better.
like for the palico outfit)
this build for Rajang update too?
Why wouldnt it be? :P
Sticky 2s are horrible, check out phemetos video about it.
Savaage phem’s vids is catering to speed runners, sticky 2 is not horrible, it’s great, but sticky 3 is even better, or at least more time efficient. People can play whatever if it’s just casual hunt. :)
I really liked this video good job but few thing first I don't have gold rathian armor and no 3 artillery jewels can u tell me or anyone what can I do for this thanks
Progress in the game?
... get the armor?
Go play the game instead of typing out stupid RUclips comments 🤔
you can use some progression builds to farm. for example, ruclips.net/video/Dz883X8O_uI/видео.html for early MR progression, ruclips.net/video/Mz38TnP7M5U/видео.html for online material farm or pass key quest, etc. you will be there eventually =3
tfw you wanna use a bowgun but still can’t get a fucking Release gem
the problem with gunner class is just it's looks braindead
Neh, it's like the hh or the charge blade. You need to know every monster move to play it like a god, if course if you use elemental ammo then yes, it's awful. Personally i use only raw lbg, spread 2/3, normal 3, sticky and Pierce.
they will nerf sticky rofl
I thought it was 30% chance
not completely sure about the chance, from my rough test, i get 40%, but it was from a small data pool. let's wait for the PC version and datamining. anyway, the chance of triggering the skill is pretty high =3
Running divine blessing & evade 5 is just dumb.. & so nooby
