Something I've seen people not be aware of since the original release is that you can get monsters to break their own parts during a mount. You have to hang out on one part until they go over to a wall to bash you off then switch once the animation starts (they also flinch themselves). Do that 3 times and the part will usually break & since they flinched themselves each time you can end with a mount finisher. I would note that the parts I primarily see breaking from this are backs (like on Rathian, Rathalos, Pukei & Zinogre) and wings (Teostra, Lunastra, Kushala & Velkana) but even if the part doesn't outright break it still does some part damage, and if you're playing solo & want part break rewards but use a weapon with bad hitzones on/difficulty hitting a part you can soften them up/get them for free even in base world where you don't have tenderized wallbang shenanigans to break tougher parts quickly.
About utility skills: in my opinion, one of the best skills is „Free Meal“. Try getting it to max wich consults in 75% chance of not consuming most consumables. Here's another very important tip for World/Iceborne: Unlike Gen Ult or Sunbreak monster pin attacks are un-blockable even with the guard up skill (an Uragaan set and end game deco exclusive that lets you block zeno/Saffi's beam attacks which can't normally be blocked) so watch out or make sure your defense is high enough to survive the attack

Brightmoss also sucks up water puddles from that one Elder dragon I forgot the name of…Namiel or something. I rarely, if ever, see anyone else using them.

I mained Lance all through World and Iceborne the first time, then I mained Hunting Horn for Risebreak. And now I'm back to Lance. I love my pointy monster poker. Call me The Flying Lancer because I spend half my hunt mounted
As someone who put a good amount of hours in I live or die by stun resistance cause unless your a god your gonna get hit And if you get stunned your probably dead
As a vet. The slide jump attacks are a great way to obtain the mount. As a Swaxe main I can't stress enough you how useful this is against monsters that you're miss matched against.
I pretty much always save my mount for after the first time the monster is enraged after the initial wallbang, because I'm playing through pre iceborne right now and I'm not loaded up with agitator skills and such yet.
700+ hours and i had no clue about firepods clearing effluvia, i allways just brought some mantle with long uptime with me... This game is truly amazing
One very important thing new players ignore is....The wake-up hits. Many times people just do a normal attack on sleeping monsters instead of letting the big Great Sword dude (me) do the thing. It happens even on master rank for me... But yeah, sleeping monsters take double the damage when you wake it up with an attack (just one hit, the first one to land will have double damage In case of a multi-hitting attack...Which you shouldn't do here) Some weapons have a powerfull attack to use in this situation like Great Sword with the True Charge or the Charge Blade with Amped Element Discharge, if your weapon doesn't have a strong hitting attack like that, you can use mega barrel bombs instead to do a ton of damage and potentially end the hunt there.
Hammer users please read this. Everyone else, until the tail is chopped, let the hammer attack the head when the monster is down. I know the hunting horn also does blunt, but you can do other things. KOing monsters is all hammers got. That and spinning. Look at what happened to hammer in Rise when stun was nerfed and there were less places you could slide.
@@randomdude4505 The head almost always has the highest hitzone value so everyone should be attacking it. Flinch free exists and will stop most flinching so there's no reason to not have everyone attacking the head.
Trying multiple weapon classes is soooo important, they each teach you different aspects of the game and once you learnt them all you are much closer to being a beast, my theory is that players like CantaPerMe's secret is that they play many different weapons all the time
About 19, I'm almost certain that you can generally get it from any Butterbur patch as a rare drop. Since I recently got it while collecting butterburs for that MR1 Quest. Obviously as a rare drop its not guaranteed (unlike the method shown shown by Cotton I'm guessing), but rare drops are much less rare in Master Rank as far as I have seen, so there's a good chance of getting that by just doing the Butterbur quest a few times.
All collectible nodes have 2 rare items, one you get by chance and another one you only get from a very specific patch, that only spawns during upsurge/flourishing. They were refering to the second one. Though usually both rare ones unlock a new ingredient the first time you get them, so it's best to get both, idk why they didn't say that
To tack on to the tip about using traps for purposes other than capture, in Master Rank depending on how much energy the monster has it will break free a lot faster than in Low/High Ranks. Plus utilize the poop, trying to hunt/carve/capture a specific monster without being interrupted or having your trap wasted can be difficult especially with a Tigrex or Bazelgeuse around.
When I started world, I picked up the Charge Blade (though certin monsters I found easier to combat with certin wepon builds). Everything changed when I went up against Ragging Bracy Daddy. My normal ways of fighting did not work against him (as well as a whole bunch of other wepons I tried), and in a moment of desperation I turned to the one wepon that I could not get the hang of in the very begining. The Insect Glave. In that moment, everything just clicked, and it has been my main wepon ever since (although when it comes to Rajang, I will allways go with a S&S dodge build as that's the best way I have developed to fight it).
I consider myself a great sword main, with probably around 80% of my time being on it, and the other being a mix of hammer and hunting horn. From those three, you can guess I like the slower, bigger numbered weapons that require you to dance with the monster. I never once considered using the lance, it just seemed boring to me. Then, about 20 in game hours ago, I decided to pick it up and mess around. Turns out, I enjoy the dance far more than I enjoy the big numbers. Knowing the right moment to block, parry, or power block, go for optimal damage, or keep it safe while waiting for a certain attack to come out. It's been an absolute blast, and honestly, might be a new choice for main. Seriously, try new stuff and see where you have the most fun, because at the end of the day, the best weapon is the one you have the most fun with
@SilverKnightXx I'm working on incorporating it. I found that I end up directly underneath the monster about 70% of the time, and I just charge to the monster when it gets away from me
Once you get a handle on the four directional shield dash it will be a very valuable asset! I personaly like to charge first and once I reached the monster I do a shield dash away from it and then start doing my combos@@zeusjuice8260
I have 650 hours and had no idea you could skip the sliding animation lol Also, regarding weapons, I'm trying all of them. I'll be doing at least 100 hunts with every single weapon in this game, and I recommend that to everyone, I gave Great sword a chance after more than 1600 hunts between charge blade and long sword and I'm in love.
On tip #13 something to thing about. While a monster is not enraged I like to fight the monster normally. No traps just fight, don't mount. Now when a monster is enraged it gains speed, longer attack chains and you can no longer wall bounce. Now is the best time to get a mount or trap a monster down. Most monsters can only stay enraged about 90 seconds and if done correctly you can really cut that time down and you have less time of taking more damage. Kushala is great for this. You can usually get at least two mounts off during a hunt. When it falls asleep that part of the fight gets super annoying so if you can mount it and reduce all the wind tunnels you'll cut time off your hunts #15 another tip here, pierce pods are OP. Seriously shoot them at enraged monsters, shit will stop them dead in their tracks. Especially good on flying monsters, give you a chance to get close a get a hit in and maybe a knockdown. I never realized how good the different pods were. Crystal pods are also really good
MASSIVELY timely. I stopped playing a few years ago and just started a new playthrough with my friend yesterday. Literally forgot the MHW specific mechanics. Love it. THANK YOU! HAPPY HUNTING EVERYONE!
Going to nitpick a bit here as the survivability bit of this video leads you into some of the worst options to use on their own. I run full def 7, elemental resist relevant to the hunt at max, and HP boost at max on every hunt. While you may not need all of this with your armor, the trick is to find the break point where you go "I have the room to add enough things to gain 1 more hit before death". One single extra hit on you may be the difference between healing and returning to the fight and a cart ride. Devine blessing is a trap, with an average damage reduction of 11% as it only happens 25% of the time and HP is huge as 1HP is all you need to stand back up and drink a potion. 99.99999% of guide makers expect you to be amazing at this game, take it from someone at MR150 who gets hit A LOT with my IG, take the defensives if it gains you more hits taken.
And please for your sanity bring proper equipment to Black Veil Hazak Fights. When I was a new hunter I thought carving near a specific monster part would give you specific parts. (Like I didn't know about tail chops and just stood by the tail and carved)
Someone in the comments said about stun resistence, I'd like to add this: To put both elemental and stun resistence is playing on "easy" mode, you'll only need to heal. Meaning you'll ignore blights, say a monster attacks with poison, if you bring lvl 3 poison resistence you'll ignore it. Adding the fact that your character won't be stunned, you'll only have to worry about doing damage, dodging, and healing, making the game way easier than you think. Just adding my experience before I optimised my build, when you reach a certain point, you just optimise for your play style. Hope this helps 😊
90% agree to this list. Last 10 is you didn't mention the Botanical Garden. Essentially free bonus materials per hunt from traps to ammo to heals to flash pods. Even if you don't get it up to "full efficiency", the only thing that gets you thousands of crafting mats better than the garden is specifically going after them yourself. (Even then I'd argue a completed yet unfertilized garden does it better)
The number of players won't go above 160k imo... Sale is over. I think it'll be a gradual decline going forward. The hype is still there, but I think it's peaked. Regarding the item bar that you can toggle with the D-pad (on controller). I use a Razer Wolverine controller. It has an extra trigger button just above the traditional triggers, and I bound that to the left and right on the D-pad. It makes it really nice and easy to select items from the item bar. It's still worth customizing the radial menu, but this gives you the ability to use both, which can be nice since there are so many items.
honestly my biggest tip is: Explore! the world has so many little secrets and cool things hidden in it! secondarily, is make friends with all of the grimalkyne tribes. aside from just the cool palico gadgets, having the secret tunnels to traverse alone and having grimalkyne friends to help you out can be fun, esp as a solo hunter! then you can have your palico, a random tribe member, and potentially a tail rider helping you! re: armor, i dont think i ahve any attack gems. im a movement based IG user, so ive got earplugs, anti-stun, flinch free, power prolonger... anythng that keeps me from getting stopped in midair lol.
I'm not a veteran in any shape or form, but one tip I heard and don't remeber where is to equip your palico with a Sleep (or paralysis) weapon, depending on the monster you will have 1 - 4 sleep procs in a hunt, giving you an extra moment to heal, sharpen and craft while also getting a free wake up bonus damage hit (wake up hits do double damage, so try to hit for strongest move). Paralysis might be less effective at giving you that break, but I noticed it stacks up faster and can even save you from some attacks if your palico clutches up as it stops monsters in their tracks
I honestly should go back and give all the weapons a go. I grabbed Hunting Horn right at the start and didn't let go for a long while. I eventually picked up both Bowguns as well, Light being my go-to for B52 and Kushala hunting, but it's hard to give up bashing a monster's head and then playing some tunes.
Highly recommend. I was the same I went HH first. Always wanted to use CB with the cool big bang attack. I took some time and watched some guides and surprisingly it was very easy to learn even being the most complicated weapon.
Two things: 1 - when a monster is exhausted (it stands still kind of drooling), you can reset the duration of the exhaust by clutch clawing onto its face. This is SUPER helpful in multiplayer especially. 2 - about the defense / utility skills, I highly recommend speed eating. It's a cheap skill to put in with decos, and even one point will reduce the amount of time you spend healing by a considerable amount.
I bought the game years ago, but just now I picked it up cuz I got burnt out of bg3 and man, what a blast I’ve been having. So far I’ve tried most weapons with the exception of the insect glaive, horn, and the ranged weapons, and I’ve fallen in love with the charge blade, such a fun and complex weapon, waking the monsters up with the hardest slap of their lives gives me the biggest dopamine rush, and whenever I wanna turn off my brain I use the longsword or hammer
Number 18 this is what I did and makes hunts not so frustrating, I'm happy I found a good build of defense I'm totalling on 1186 defs and I changed it up lil bit and put offensive stuff in it too like attack boost or artillery my build is more around 70/30, 70% defense and 30% offense I love the speed eating, divine blessing and tool specialist and such there so reliable
I've got a great simple tip: you can use tranquilizers before you trap a monster, the tranquilizer status stays on the monster for a while and if you tranq them then trap them they will be caught right away. This can be really helpful for situations where the monster is getting resistant to your traps and doesn't stay in them long enough for you to use 2 tranqs, or for monsters that naturally get out quickly.
10:55 capturing does give you more rewards because of double tails and double reward screens, what i mean is that maximums are different, sure the rewards screens are both minimally the same, but maximally different; slaying a monster; carve + tail + rewards screen capturing a monster; tail + rewards screen + arena quest arena quest; carve + tail + rewards screen hence it is always 100% without a shadow of a doubt, better to just capture the monster for maximal rewards, the only difference between the two is sometimes you wont get an arena quest for the monster you captured, but that only happens for a short period of time because you specifically killed that arena recently, so if you vary your hunts, you get a ton more maximal rewards than someone who just slays the monster
Additional for number 6, moving on the mounted monster will also do damage depending on the weapon equipped. Example is IG, moving from part to part has damage numbers between 20-45 instead of the 1 from normal attacking.
I didn't know the superman dive counted as invulnerability time like your regular dodge... I just assumed it was a "last chance bail" maneuver... The things you learn from long time players omg thank you
No. 18, it's important for new players to realize that meta build in this game can be incredibly hard to handle. It's not your typical MMO where simply increasing offensive stat would automatically equal faster kill/clear. I have friends who can't read English and they like to look for builds online and are unable to use them to their fullest because of their skill as a player are not up on par to that level.
MHW is not an MMO ,but yea many builds you'll see online require skill along side good items but that is true for the majority of the game. If you can't handle a build get better learn the monsters, learn the build. Don't just not use a build because it's hard.
@@hoopla5502 Yes, that's the point is that meta build may not be beginner friendly. And new players shouldn't disregard survivability skills. Once they get used to the game and become more comfortable, that's when they should start to migrate. People I play with often cart time and time again because they don't care about skill like Vitality. And I know that it's a good thing to move away from those skills in order to get better at the game. But some people are just that slow.
@@gobokoboobo4620 I'd say vitality is always a good one to have , regardless of where you are unless your trying to speed run , or are one of those people who just don't get hit often but for all the normal people out there having a bigger health bar is always good imo and stamina boost depending on your weapon
Why exactly you did you miss it in rise? There was 0 point for it to be in rise, astera jerky heals bleed there is no bleeding in rise. The fish does the same thing for red health in rise .
Another thing is that if you use the mega armor drug and mega demon drug to powder to seed in that order it will stack and will last till the end of the Hunt or till you die!
ok listen, i am a new player and still didnt get to the dlc but one of the things i should totally advise is use items loudout, when in the item box there is a button that opens the loadout and you can make multiple i have one that is the base that i can just go into the tent, load and bam everything i need and use is ready to go. its so time saving you dont imagine
RageGaming a video about what not to see in Wilds would be nice and literally on my fourth run in world through it all and still what gets me its how the creators couldn't make nice complete weapons instead we got chicken bones and metal weapons at least rise didn't had that but still world weapons were the worst looking except for the main ones that were complete
Had this game for over a week now , was a sns main , now i prefer the greatsword. The tackles make me feel like a good player when im playing with someone and it gets a knockout .
Originally I tried Great Sword and after I couldn't get past Low Rank Rajinoth, I quit until the expansion went on sale. Bought it (dunno, why, lol) and decided to look up a guide. When one of them made the comparison to Dynasty Warriors (Dual Blades?), I tried those and immediately found success and fun. It didn't hurt that I had the Defender gear to give me a lot of wiggle room for mistakes so I could learn but I've clocked in over 1000 hours in MHW so far since then. When Rise came out, I decided to swap main weapons and went for Insect Glaive... because it looked too confusing to switch to in World but I figured if I went in cold with a new weapon I could (and did) learn how to get the most out of it. Dying has a DPS value of 0. I'd rather win in 30 minute than lose in 10. It's a bit disappointing when you fight a clearly (element) heavy using monster and find people getting their blight. Even most so when it's one of those max difficulty fights. Seriously, who tries to fight Tempered Velkhana with less than 20 Ice Resist?
It says on the wiki that capturing gives you more end of quest rewards and you get the same carving rewards as well as having the skill that allows you to get even more quest rewards from capturing
I've recently found this game and have been addicted. All of my days off have been poured into this game lol I love duel blades and my only fear so far are things that love to stay in the sky.
I’m replaying MHW again and it’s making me very happy, I still feel bad for bullying poor Great Jagras but I’m playing on my PS5 and so I’m beginning all over again.
I disagree that health boost is important especially for newbies levelling. Health boost, healing cat and health restorer gadget are all optional crutches that take the place of something better and if you begin the game with them it’s hard to give them up. Better to learn to play without and add them if you need to. General defence is better than extra health imo.
I kind of agree, but more health and defense (you mentioned) is great at the start. This will allow you to make more mistakes and make you better with your weapon and monster patterns. Once you get the hang of your weapon you can change those skills into damage boosting and utility.
On slaying vs capturing: I always capture if I think it saves time, unless I'm not sure I broke the monster part I needed to break or if I still need to sever the tail.
You know, at the risk of sounding really dumb. Who is the pro and who is the noob? I can't really tell cause both are pretty well versed in monhun, or so it seems to me I say while watching a video with cotton splaining things. owo
I strongly second the 20th tip. Definitely try other weapons. Especially ones that didn't appeal to you at first. You definitely got the wrong impression of something with your first look at the weapons. Also Cotton you can dash attack again after doing a spread shot to retain your charge level with the bow. You don't have to start over every time.
I am almost strictly a solo player who tends to just run expeditions. I have been an SnS main since the days of the Original Monster Hunter game and that reigns true for MHW. Most of the other weapons just simply don’t interest me play-style wise but I do use HBG and GL from time to time. In the old days I ran SnS, Lance, or GS.
Use what is comfortable for you and what fits your play style. I think one of the most important things for new and experienced players to do is just play the game. Don’t worry so much about progressing through the game as it is for collecting weapons and armor of every element/monster. You become more proficient in fighting alone and you will stack up items and materials for a later date.
yea I got the game awhile ago put around 300 hours in the base game, quit playing a month after iceborne came out, recently got iceborne and made a new character immediately took off the defender gear and went straight back to the kinsect glaive

@@RepublicofODLUM clearly you missed the sarcasm.
Trying multiple weapon classes is soooo important, they each teach you different aspects of the game and once you learnt them all you are much closer to being a beast, my theory is that players like CantaPerMe's secret is that they play many different weapons all the time
For end game with Fatalis set i always run full free meal, helps me to not worry about potion stocks when grinding
Same. Free meal helps a ton and can be slotted in without getting rid of essential skills(for most weapons)
Though usually both rare ones unlock a new ingredient the first time you get them, so it's best to get both, idk why they didn't say that
@@big00oooff21 I didn't know that, thanks... 6 years old game, you still learn something everyday 😂😂
Me n my dad got sad cuz we seen ppl quitting mhw but now I gotta tell him ppl coming back😭
When I started world, I picked up the Charge Blade (though certin monsters I found easier to combat with certin wepon builds).
I can only recommend a sword only charge blade build, it's a fun different playstyle for those monster where SAED & stuff don´t work as well.
Seriously, try new stuff and see where you have the most fun, because at the end of the day, the best weapon is the one you have the most fun with
As a lance main myself I absolutely love the shield dash, it gives you great mobility and safety, just beautiful!
I have 650 hours and had no idea you could skip the sliding animation lol
Also, regarding weapons, I'm trying all of them.
When it falls asleep that part of the fight gets super annoying so if you can mount it and reduce all the wind tunnels you'll cut time off your hunts
#15 another tip here, pierce pods are OP.
I’m playing with the defender set till I get to iceborn which is where I left off.
I've played Dual Blades, Hammer, Both Bowguns, Lance but I always have come back to my first love of being on Dooty Duty with the Hunting Horn.
I appreciate you dude. Buffs over heals any day, even against Alatreon
6:10 Nothing like getting launced into the ground by a Glavenus and ending up totally fine after it bisects you with its greatsword-tail.
doing a fresh run of world to progress alongside a newbie friend and its been great!
And please for your sanity bring proper equipment to Black Veil Hazak Fights.
When I was a new hunter I thought carving near a specific monster part would give you specific parts. (Like I didn't know about tail chops and just stood by the tail and carved)
This, please do this
Never knew you could use fire pods to scare away Vespoids. 700+ hours in this game and you still learn a thing or two.
New hunter here. Thanks for the video. Monster Hunter can sometimes feel like such a daunting task to get into the game.
As someone who's played since base Worlds launch, I had NO idea you could disperse effluvium with torch pods so thanks for that
I'd like to add that trapping monsters also has a chance to give optional arena quest for that monster.
I'm not changing my weapon!;You can pry my Hunting Horn from my cold dead hands!
Also as a vet I can't agree with 18 enough. Switch Axe newbie. Evade Extender and Evade Window are your best friends don't slouch on these skills.
The Superman dive was something I normally used, never thought it had those invincibility frames 😅
honestly my biggest tip is: Explore! the world has so many little secrets and cool things hidden in it!
secondarily, is make friends with all of the grimalkyne tribes. aside from just the cool palico gadgets, having the secret tunnels to traverse alone and having grimalkyne friends to help you out can be fun, esp as a solo hunter! then you can have your palico, a random tribe member, and potentially a tail rider helping you!
re: armor, i dont think i ahve any attack gems. im a movement based IG user, so ive got earplugs, anti-stun, flinch free, power prolonger... anythng that keeps me from getting stopped in midair lol.
Paralysis might be less effective at giving you that break, but I noticed it stacks up faster and can even save you from some attacks if your palico clutches up as it stops monsters in their tracks
after 500h in MHW Iceborne i just learned that flame pods clear out efluvia
I honestly should go back and give all the weapons a go. I grabbed Hunting Horn right at the start and didn't let go for a long while. I eventually picked up both Bowguns as well, Light being my go-to for B52 and Kushala hunting, but it's hard to give up bashing a monster's head and then playing some tunes.
Highly recommend. I was the same I went HH first. Always wanted to use CB with the cool big bang attack. I took some time and watched some guides and surprisingly it was very easy to learn even being the most complicated weapon.
Two things:
1 - when a monster is exhausted (it stands still kind of drooling), you can reset the duration of the exhaust by clutch clawing onto its face. This is SUPER helpful in multiplayer especially.
2 - about the defense / utility skills, I highly recommend speed eating. It's a cheap skill to put in with decos, and even one point will reduce the amount of time you spend healing by a considerable amount.
I started with insect glaive then moved on to charge blade. I also dabble with the hammer
bring at least HP/VIT +3 at all times, if you can also bring Divine protection +2 or +3 for like the 1st 1000hrs
Had 300 hours into base World but never touched Iceborne. I used this as an excuse to play it an im like 100 hours into it already 😂
Ah, the nostalgia, like eating ice cream on a hot summer’s day.
Number 18 this is what I did and makes hunts not so frustrating, I'm happy I found a good build of defense I'm totalling on 1186 defs and I changed it up lil bit and put offensive stuff in it too like attack boost or artillery my build is more around 70/30, 70% defense and 30% offense
I love the speed eating, divine blessing and tool specialist and such there so reliable
10:55 capturing does give you more rewards because of double tails and double reward screens, what i mean is that maximums are different, sure the rewards screens are both minimally the same, but maximally different;
slaying a monster;
carve + tail + rewards screen
capturing a monster;
tail + rewards screen + arena quest
arena quest;
carve + tail + rewards screen
hence it is always 100% without a shadow of a doubt, better to just capture the monster for maximal rewards, the only difference between the two is sometimes you wont get an arena quest for the monster you captured, but that only happens for a short period of time because you specifically killed that arena recently, so if you vary your hunts, you get a ton more maximal rewards than someone who just slays the monster
I really hope Astera Jerkey or something similar is in Wilds I missed it so much in rise. I abuse the hell out of that jerkey
Why exactly you did you miss it in rise? There was 0 point for it to be in rise, astera jerky heals bleed there is no bleeding in rise. The fish does the same thing for red health in rise .
@@hoopla5502 Theirs fish that heals red health in Rise?!?
I am about to play through World again and then start as a new player in Iceborne. Looking forward to it! This was timely guys! Thanks!
Whoever edited this definitely hit the nail on the head with their proper timing on #20!
Bug staff main... Learned to use dual blades and love them....
One reason I prefer capture is because I like fighting monsters in the arena when trying to get more familiar with them.
I’m replaying MHW again and it’s making me very happy, I still feel bad for bullying poor Great Jagras but I’m playing on my PS5 and so I’m beginning all over again.
Ok the part break from wall bangs is great info!
As someone who recently started playing Worlds, my first MH experience at that, this has been very helpful ^^
Will always be a hammer main. But done bow,ls,db,and sns. All fatalis.
On slaying vs capturing: I always capture if I think it saves time, unless I'm not sure I broke the monster part I needed to break or if I still need to sever the tail.
Nah! All I need is long sword.
The Teleporters in the old games you couldn't just use randomly, the monsters still hit you 😂
I skipped world because I didnt have a PC or PS. Now that I can play it, I am in love with the game. I miss my wirebugs though.
Additionally, pressing R1 when talking to the quest-giver speeds up the door/zoom animation
You know, at the risk of sounding really dumb. Who is the pro and who is the noob? I can't really tell cause both are pretty well versed in monhun, or so it seems to me
I say while watching a video with cotton splaining things.
I sucked at LS when I played it in PS4.
I have restarted on PC and had just slayed Alatreon using LS.
I've started a fresh save and working towards rainbow pigment.
Monster Hunter World tutorials in 2024 is insane and I love it 😂
yea I got the game awhile ago put around 300 hours in the base game, quit playing a month after iceborne came out, recently got iceborne and made a new character immediately took off the defender gear and went straight back to the kinsect glaive
It's kinda crazy that he mentions trying different weapons because I started off with longsword then changed to greatsword then changed to sword n shield and finally settled on hammer and I've been rocking it since 2019
I started with Lance and gave it up for Hammer. Branched out and tried Switch Axe.
I am starting a new playthrough and am stuck on picking my weapon. Try Lance again, or pick something completely different like Bow or Charge Blade 🤯
Been playing monster hunter over 1000 hrs and never knew #6 or never thought about using it that way. Never used #7 either but that's way faster than using the rides but wingdrakes aren't everywhere.
Same goes with #17 didn't know that
took me 3 years and 1200 hours later to find the settings to turn off the scout fly camera snap
I have been playing MHW since around the PC release but never was able to figure out what the moss slinger ammo is for, thanks a lot~
So much nostalgia waiting for new tutorials on mhw. a game i dont really need a tutorial for xD
I really hope you guys are gonna play pal world game looks wild
Returning player here alot of this is a good refresher course
Patience, those crowns will take a while.
I used to be a longsword main, now I'm a bow/ chargeblade main
Great video but I don't agree with the capture/ slay think - capture ended gives you more rewards, the tutorial also say that when you go into the Guiding lands, the fact that if you capture them you increase the rewards
@12:30 i run full defense sense i didnt know the roll has i frames and always got hit. Dont worry it works for me.
Man I’ve played almost 200 hours of world/iceborn with my camera settings as close. Wtf no wonder I thought some monster attacks were bullshit.
It honestly barely makes a difference, it goes like 3 feet back lol, wish it was more but still better than close.
