Really awesome comfort-focused build. What is great about this build isn't that its the most damaging set out there, but potentially the most fun set. Having 5 seconds of I-frames is a godsend and should make nearly any hunt feel fun and casual. Almost like playing Dynasty Warriors, where you get this I am a god feel. It's not for me personally as a go-to, but I will probably build this just so that if I want to relentlessly beat the life out of a monster, I have this as an option. Great job!
With zinogre you gain a flat 60 percent affinity boost augment blades for 30 and ten from weakness and purple sharpness constant sharpness 100affinty and can have all the invincible things without the cost to health
Honestly this build is pretty meme and I would probably never use it but I must applaud it for one major thing: it finally confirmed to me that the dash during demon mode does in fact have i-frames. I couldn't for the life of me tell if it did or not before and therefore only really used the O/B attack to dodge/reposition myself. Thanks for the informative video. 👍🏽💯
@@Hetsu.. Basically, what you and the other dude posted I am already of that. I know everyone has s (all weapons need a means to dodge) but some moves have s while others do not. actually you can treat this as a base build, by mastering the DB more and more, you can gradually remove the stamina skills and place the damage skills. the continuous dodge is just for the show, you only need dodge once most of the time lol
You could replace the sharpness awakenings with some jewels by ditching some (or all of) marathon runner I guess. But the Teo essence is irreplaceable lol
I would try this build but instead of stamina loss i will try latent power secret getting affinity and stamina loss control should work but thanks for the new way of play for dual blades never tried the weapon but it seems fun
Dual don't lose sharpness per hit like other weapons. I think every 3rd or 4th hit consumes one point of sharpness so they most definitely aren't the most sharpness consuming weapon actually. I think that title goes to the lance. I will be trying this build out though :)
Cool idea. If you have lots of vouchers, you can eat for stamina reducing skills and drink dash juice, therefore letting you get more damage skills on the build! Food for thought.
So close to perfection, only is missing fortitude to use this in the Guiding lands. Maybe i'm asking too much. XD but this still is a Super Awesome build.
the safi weapons have the ability to use a mod slot for a monster's essence, allowing it to count towards a set bonus as long as the weapon has the essence on it

This build seems okay if you want a lazy man way to play DBs but the damage output seems pretty damn low compared to elemental DB builds. Being able to dodge thru Safi's laser breath is pretty meme though, so I guess it has that going for it.
i would partially agree. by talking about elemental DB builds i suppose you mean the ones with silver rath set. sure it does more damage on each hit, but it is rather difficult to sustain your attacks because the lack of stamina skills, and the sharpness is also difficult to maintain too. All these facts can impact the dps over time, not mentioning the contributes from the evade window, make the battle smoother. personally i feel it rather difficult to use DB without sufficient stamina skills. but yes, i know that my DB skill is below average =) btw, as i mentioned in the video, this build also works with elemental Safi DB. the Safi'jiiva Seal 3 provides decent elemental boost and you can replace some stamina skills by using dash juice or compensenting with skills.
@@aquCHAOS Thank you for the response, and I would agree with you that using DB without max stamina management skills is challenging but very rewarding if you can master it. Personally I would try to add some more damage boosting skills such max resentment or agitator along with some stamina management skills such as stamina surge/constitution for the best balance. I don't think it's necessary to have max evade window since DB dodge is pretty good already. I will say the cool thing about your exact build is that dodging thru Safi's full laser makes for a nice party trick with randoms, they'll probably think you're glitching or cheating, lol. Interesting build regardless and keep up the good work. 👍
As a lance main, i'd have to correct you. Lance consumes the most sharpness. DBs comes second, uses sharpness 1 out of every 3 hits. Awesome build tho.
affinity VI gives 15% and the safi weapon has 5% by default so 20% in total. i did not count the 5% from the purple sharpness though, i did not hear the purple sharpness has affinity bonus in iceborne.
Dash Extract will take care of most stamina issues. Where I find this helpful is if you want to be lazy. While not top dmg, being able to dodge through pretty much everything is really useful when you want to be lazy ... Now try this on Behemoth or Safi nuke ... ;) Edit: Although, if your hunts last longer than 5-8 minutes then Dash Extract becomes very expensive.
Farm tempered monster bones in guiding lands (preferably from tier 3 or 2 threat) and convert those on elder melder on a "bone" day (bones have increased points), u can easily craft like 100 or so dash juice by a bargain price in bones that you literally dont use for anything. Hope it helped PS.: Ive over 1200 Dash juice and Mega Demon drug just using this method.
It's doing about 50% of what a meta elemental build will do. Good for mindless hunting though, I often enjoy this setup in random Guiding Lands groups.
Having 3 or 5 piece of Safi Jiiva Armor gives Dragonvein Awakening. Everytime she attacks = She loose health. But, after hitting the monster for 20 hits = a portion of Life is regained after. It's better to have a Health Augment in the weapon to lessen the effects. Note that a Life Regain using a Safi Set when the conditions are met vary on weapons. Dual Blades need 20 hits to gain back health. Other weapons need either 10 or less.

"Interesting" build but I wouldn't suggest this to anyone. Is a ok set if you gonna fight alone and don't feel like caring for sharpness or for how long the hunt gonna take but besides that, not really. DB mains and pros will choose a True crit element over this any day and new DB players will prolly spend most their time carting using this cos all them gonna do is prolly spam triangle/circle all night long and have half their life gone cos the monster moved. With that said, I'll give my 50cents about your build. 1st, *Stamina overkill* . If you're used with DB, a dash juice is more than enough to maintain your stamina flowing and whenever you're running out, just go arch-demon and let it regenerate. Marathon Runner is only viable when you're learning as a training wheel, and constitution is not worth at all. 2nd, *Purple Sharpness* . Its not a "worth the price" increase in dps for raw damage and with that set, the base sharpness Safi wep comes with, with 2 extra ATK V instead of the Sharpness awakening will end up giving you more damage if not the same than going purple sharpness 3rd, *No HP+* . Granted the 2nd build has it but even I that have 2800 DB hunts under my belt don't run without Vitality and as if that wasn't bad enough, its on a Safi set no less, lol. Recipe for disaster. 4th, *Lack of damage* . DB is not a raw weap. If you're playing DB without TCE, you're playing it wrong. You did 2x56 on Teo's head while I usually do 110 (125+ when tenderised) so yea. Its not a matter of play "max deeps" its a matter of while you're playing your super "confy" build, someone else have to put up the damage you're lacking in order to make the hunt don't drag forever. Lastly, *Safi set is overrated* . Safi set is for ppl who are really good at their game, which lets be honest, none of us mere "non speed runners" are, so while you gain 20/40% crit from the set (something you can easily get by other means), the cost is that you lose HP all the time and if you accidently sheath your weap, you'll have to pot cos you won't manage to regenerate your hp back by simply landing hits on the monster and will most likely die trying. In other words, ppl that use Safi's set are usually that guy that do nothing the entire fight cos is too busy potting up to keep his HP above the "1 shot range" and that even so, is the first one to cart. And on a final note, this kinda set is what creates a new generation of DB users that thinks that build for attack and purple sharpness on DB is better than going full elemental with TCE.
Yeah, it sounds like a nice advertising. But when you think about it, it's nice to have but not what most people should be prioritize to build. Although, personally I like earplugs in my build, But this guy's comment had a point
@@MrCaracis CB is the only weap I never played so I cant really opinate on that. Elemental LBG has a overhall safe gameplay in my opinion so its a exception to my statement about Safi set being overrated. Regardless I still think it is. And yea I feel you there friend. When I see a DB user with a optimal set , cos srsly 90% the time them don't, I just wanna give them a hug and as DB main this breaks my heart. Is undestandable if you're low rank and don't have a lot of resources or jewels, but often enough I see someone with MR 500/600+ with a completly yolo set and I just facepalm hard.
@@Angelovizk Could be because they're bored and wanna try something new. If they're MR 500+ then there's a pretty big chance that they're wanting to try and spice up their gameplay and do something different. I'm a HBG main that uses Safi Set and a Normal Ammo dominant weapon. Is it optimal? Definitely not. Why use Normal Ammo when things like Burstcannon exists for Spread, or Magda Gemitus exists for Sticky/Clusters? Well, because it's fun. If I did nothing but use Loyal Thunder/Burstcannon, then I'd probably shoot myself out of boredom.
Safi set is FAR from overrated, it's actually very underrated. The health deterioration mechanic can easily be countered with a single health augment. Even with a health augment you can very easily keep Resentment up 90+% of the time. Even if you lose health, just keep attacking and the Safi health regen mechanic will kick in and acts like a potion. I made a raw insect glaive build with 3-piece safi and master's touch that has 100% crit, resentment 5, crit boost 3, agitator 5, and evade window 5 and now master rank hunts seem like low rank hunts. The uptime of constantly attacking even at low health seems to make up for the downtime of having to stop and take a few potions with my elemental builds. Safi set is kinda gamebreaking.
This build is good for comfort and not for much else really. There are way better builds out there than this. Latent power 5 with crit eye is the better combination-- all those stamina skills you have on there will never compare to latent power 5-- it also gives you more room for offensive skills aka more dps. This build you have is more for fun than actually having an efficient hunt, just saying (here come the flame police to reply to my comment with cancerous "stfu" comments -_-)
I like Latent Power but the most common gripe with it is that it's not 100% on. It seems people wants consistency over short but very powerful power spikes. It's like losing your stamina (and thus dodge capacity) when a Tigrex JUST became enraged. Often enough to be carted. Of course, experience can ofset this, but the point of some builds is that it offer something to match your playstyle. Not ALL people can sustain DPS-only build by never getting it by anything. I know I can't, so builds that offer survivability for a small DPS trade-off are welcome in my book. For example, I don't mind sharpening once in a while or dipping to white (sometimes blue) for a few minutes, so Master's Touch only builds are kinda MEH! to me.
You see this is why they keep nerfing things in mh db in particular. Me: had a build similar to this in mh4u with stacked activation of protector in jewels, felyne def. And honing with para/ice db and a build with sleep/water db.😂
DB only got buffed in the last big patch. What are you talking about? They buffed the spinning rising slash combo to completely wound the monster's hide. Also the Safi Elemental DBs offer slightly higher damage then the previous best options. As a DB main I can say with absolute certainty that the weapons DPS, utility, and versatility are at an all time high.
this is like the most optimized comfort build, good job

Scoot magoot :D
It'll get patched eventually and you'll have to find a new set to abuse.
This set isn't unbalanced though?
Jojo reference here
Also I play SnS ono why am I here?
For example, I don't mind sharpening once in a while or dipping to white (sometimes blue) for a few minutes, so Master's Touch only builds are kinda MEH! to me.
I was actually thinking the same when trying to find the damage skills in the build
