- I'm always in search of new places to fish. St. Mary's County has a large number of public landings and piers, several of which are well known. I decided to give some of the lesser known areas a try and this is some footage from Paul Ellis Landing. Below is my high level rating of this as a place for an outing and a link to the County's website:
1. Parking - Poor, room for a handful of cars.
2. Restroom facilities - None
3. Kid friendly - no railings on the pier, so watch the small ones
4. Scenery - Outstanding, plus lots of birds
5. Fishing - Below average. I caught one small croaker, but was fishing a low tide so likely better on a
fuller tide.
6. Crabbing - Average - based upon the number that appeared to be nibbling on my bait.
7. Seems best for - Launching small craft

Wonderful video my dear friend. Greetings
Many thanks and thank you for visiting!
That is a bigger pier than some I know 👍🏻 Perfectly good for fishing 🐟 You got awesome skills to catch a crab and oyster on a rod 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Nice croaker too, Shore Fisherman❗️
Thank you @siralbertus! It was a nice little pier so I had hoped the fishing would have been better, but was glad to pull something in. Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful video. I like it very much.
Have a perfect time. Greetings ~ Milan
Thank you very much!
oh nice place to fish. that little croaker was cool. too bad those crabs were small.
It was a nice, if somewhat unproductive place to fish. Thank you for watching @F.A.R.T.!
An oyster lol that was funny!😆😆
The funny thing was it actually seemed to have swallowed the bait. Thanks for stopping by!
Great fishing video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for coming
Such a peaceful looking place. Beautiful views of the lake, pier and landscapes. Thanks for taking us fishing with you. Interesting capture of the oyster. Have a great day
Thanks so much @dayadventureswithgasper!
caught around 15 keeper sized rockfish off my dads pier on Wednesday, bite died hard yesterday but still managed some small redfish, rivers should start getting good here soon
That sounds like a great day! I had a slightly better day last weekend at Point Lookout, but nothing like what you did. Thanks for stopping by!
Croaker are great to eat!
I have heard that, though the one I caught would only have been a "fish stick" so back in he went. Thanks for stopping by @MeTimeFishing!
