My hair is curly and his techniques are the only ones that work like magic for me. Been doing my own hair for 15 years now and learned early on to blow dry first, then flat iron. It doesn’t matter what texture your hair is, this demo shows fundamental rules for styling. His blow drying and flat iron tutorials are the best information you will find on the web. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge so clearly Andrew! The first time I tried to flatten iron on the diagonal after watching his tutorial, I was blown away by the results!!! Wish I knew this years ago. The style lasts longer too, don’t know why, but it does. He’s a master stylist. Thank you! If you have techniques for styling curly hair (not wavy) and keeping curl soft, bouncy and without frizz, please share.
I was just about to say... luckily everyone else has mentioned it also... straightening demonstration... on already smooth straight hair? 😧 ground breaking
It's the technique. Same goes for anything. When you are learning a new way to do a haircut, you aren't learning the haircut. The techniques and the why's behind the techniques shown are much more important than the procedure.
my hairs are very thin and week I just purchase hair straighter of philliphs Kerashine which has one setting of temperature that is 200 c so will it ggod such amount of heat on my hair
Kaylyn Bergeron it's all about education... first find out what their challenge is with product. Do they not like the feel? Concern about damage? Then offer them the "why" behind the product your suggesting and ask if they would be open to a new experience with product. From there of course we have to respect their decision.
I always use product on my clients. When they protest I explain the importance of heat protection. This is how I explain product use and then they typically understand. Not using thermal protection on your hair is equivalent to not using oven mitts when your oven is set to 450°. Take your baking pan full of cookies without mitts you will burn your hands. Putting your hair under 450° of heat in a flat iron will do the same.
It's like one of those razor commercials where the person is shaving already hairless legs😂

Hello, when you spray the heat protectant shouldn't you wait for whatever seconds before direct heat ?
Madeline Texas by the time you comb through it will be plenty dry to iron over it

Kaylyn Bergeron explain to them how it helps their hair

is it okay to use conditioner as heat protection
At the bare minimum, I would always suggest heat protectant. Educate the client about WHY you are using it and why they should do the same.
most clients wont hold their heads down that long
If a proper blow dry heat iron should not be used !!! I never use the iron
Tasha Butler yes. I second this. As much as i love my GHD Platinum... i rarely use it thanks to my GHD AIR
