Thank you Daniel. Identifying Kairos moments retrospectively can be easier I reckon. StilI have had them and identified them as such but just didn't know what the right word was. An example. Earlier this year I was sitting outside with my dying mother at my parent's rural location. One of her favourite things was to sit in the sun and listen to the birds, so finally when we had a sunny day that wasn't too hot to do that, we did it. Mum enjoyed the feel of the warmth of the sun and breeze on her skin (she told me so) and we sat there for ages holding hands, listening to the birds and enjoying the moment for however long it was going to last. These days, I make more space for these types of moments with my loved ones rather than racing around ticking off the never ending to do list. You never know what it's going to be the last. Mum died a couple of days later and I have no regrets.
Hi Kristie - that's a beautiful Kairos moment. You made my day. It's these special, timeless moments that shake us out of our current way of seeing life and propel us towards different priorities and actions ... just like you have described. In my next video I'll provide a framework to help us process and act on Kairos moments as they come, rather than retrospectively. Both forms of processing are important - but the more attuned you are to these things, the more you can allow the spiritual data of life to shape your future. Thank you again for your authentic, heart-felt Kairos - I might just sit with my own loved ones today in response as well :)

You’ve drawn deep from the well of wisdom there, Dan. I recall a Kairos moment where as a teenager I nearly crashed the car with passengers inside. It affected me deeply and caused me to write a poem reflecting on the experience and considering seriously for the first time that there was Someone chasing after my heart; namely, God.
Wow - love this comment. That's a momentous Kairos. I have also had significant Kairos moments that have shaped my life choices, and make me who I am today. Part of what I'm learning is that there are smaller Kairos around us, if we pay attention - and that's quite exciting as well. Helps us discover we are not alone :)
