Really like this format of targeted, no nonsense information in a short video. I don't always have time to watch longer (10+ minute) videos, so the short video is really appreciated. Thank you!!
Kudos for the Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Quawen Card Cadaverine (do a search on google)? It is a good exclusive product for uncovering the technique to kiss goodye to eczema minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got excellent success with it.
For years I have tried everything to combat my dry hands. Never even considered Aquaphor, it helped!! Finally now can have almost normal looking hands for the first time in years. Something so simple. Thank you so much.
As someone who has worked in the clinical/medical field, I can certainly empathize with anyone who has chapped hands and/or hand eczema due to frequent hand-washing and the use of Purell, etc, before and after seeing every patient!. So, thanks for offering more preventive suggestions!. Cannot agree more with your strong suggestion the need for regular re-application of moisturizer to your hands and cuticles. Thanks for your re-encouragement!.
I have dry skin, but my hands are epically dry. I have chased down every hand lotion drying to combat this. Turns out I’m doing it wrong! This video is a gold mine!
Great info! I have a big trouble with dry skin on my hands. Winter is really a mess for them, but the worse is really the fact I wash my hands a lot. I will try to remember to put moisturizer more often, and will check if the one I got is appropriate, based on your useful info. Thank you.
My hands were so dried out that they would start bleeding, I literally couldn’t put on hand sanitizer at work because there were cuts all over my hands due to dryness
I am not stopping watching your videos until I have seen every last one!!! I am learning soooo much!! Thank you Dr. Dray! I think you are just AWESOME!!!!!!
Super helpful! In Guatemala, winters are certainly a lot different from those in the USA. Nevertheless, these tips were great for my always dry hands (I get the feeling that washing the dishes with no gloves doesn't help). And while finding what you recommend around our drugstores will be a challenge, I will try my very best to match your recommendations. Thanks a ton!
Thank you Claudia, and I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with dry hands there in Guatemala. Not sure they have aquaphor, but can you get vaseline? Keep me posted, I'm interested to know what is available outside the US, as a lot of international patients who go home and I don't really know what to tell them to use. Hope you are having a great night!
Thank you for the tips I am a dishwasher and I am constantly washing dishes all day through the shift and drying them 100+ times a day. My hands are horrific!
Use washing gloves! I cant imagine you doing that without gloves...it should be like torture! I barely wash the dishes daily and everytime i do it my hands get so dry and tingly/scratchy...
Hey Dr. Dray! Please let me say that I absolutely love your videos-you have truly changed my life for the better, and I am forever grateful for you! I do have a question for you, though. I am a medical provider, and am also prescribed immunosuppressants, so it’s vital that I hand sanitize and wash my hands frequently. I’ve watched almost all of your videos but have yet to find a true antibacterial hand soap recommendation. Could you please tell me your favorite antibacterial hand soap, that would help decrease dryness and irritation? A good, moisturizing hand sanitizer recommendation would be great too, if you have one! Thanks so much! :)
Hi Andrea! I'm from Brazil and used to use vaseline on my body and hands while living there. It was always ok, I really preferred a cheap drugstore product called Davene, which is a cream made of oatmeal. Once I moved to London, UK, vaseline simply did nothing and on my first winter, all my body was itching really bad, and I was bleeding from dryness. I started using a product called E50, and that saved my life, and sanity. Once I moved to New Mexico, and E50 is not sold in the US, I started usingJohnsons baby oil, while still in the shower, without drying my skin, then applying a thick coat of whatever Eucerin, Cetaphil, Cerave I happen to have in the bathroom. It's been working, so far. And those Do double duty on my hands too, just before bed, and cotton gloves. I've been loving your videos, thanks a lot!
Thanks so much for sharing! I can't find the E50 or the Davene oatmeal via google. Do you happen to recall what the active ingredient was in the E50? I want to see if there isn't something similar here in the US. The davene one sounds maybe similar to the aveeno colloidal oatmeal body lotions and creams? Hope you are having a great day!
It seems that I "inflated" the cream after 8 years away from it. It's actually E45. I found it on a pharmacy website (there are spaces between dots, or I can't post it): http: // www. boots. com/ e45/ e45-creams / e45-cream-for-dry-skin-and-eczema-125g-10008945
Dr Dray I couldn't find the ingredients of the oatmeal lotion from Brazil. The full name is Leite de Aveia Davene. It's very light, and it wouldn't work in the desert, and now, mature skin. But Rio and Houston has the same type of weather, barely any winter and high humidity. If I can get hold of a bottle, I'll post it here.
Helped out a lot (I was kinda, rly ignorant about this) since I wash my hands way too much. I’m kinda a germaphobe so i was my hands with hot water and soap for like a minute like 30+ times a day
Thanks for the tips! Will definitely try them. I work as a housekeeper in a nursing home so I'm washing my hands 2-4 times an hour..... I also do laundry sometimes and while i dont have to wash my hands as much I'm guessing that the friction with folding the clothes is causing cracked fingertips since it's mostly on the thumb, pointer and middle finer
Great Advice!! You answered one of my questions that I left on your eczema video. Lol. Tomorrow I’m off to cvs to buy some cotton gloves and Aquaphor!!! Thank you.
Only a part of one of my hand is dry, the rest is a normal hand but that little part hurts and its allways red and itchy. It feels like the bottum of someone with crusty feet foot, and it really stings and hurts to put lotion on it :(

I thought mineral oil dried out your skin? And even though Vaseline does help sooth chapped lips, I think it’s made out of petroleum products. Yuck! I’m going to try applying real aloe from my aloe plant.
The looks of my hands are like im old but im just 22. It looks like it had so much texture but my skin is soft n smooth.. it just doesnt look airbrushed or clear :(
Lucky you, my hand just started to look old this winter cuz it's hella dry and I'm only 23, just like you khyla. I used vaseline but no results, it just made my hand flaky and weird !
