- Hey guys welcome to todays video that goes over each and every easter-egg in the brand new Bowsers Fury game mode!! I had tons of fun finding each one and making this video so I hope you enjoy!!!!

Fun fact: Fur Step island sounds like “First Step” which is a reference to how it’s the first level
The Fury Luigi missions in some levels play exactly the same as the Shadow Mario shines in Mario Sunshine! It's a very clear parallel! Also when you clear the goop after defeating Fury Bowser the first times, whole structures rise from the water, as if they were trapped under the goop, this is exactly as they did in Mario Sunshine as well, like the Delfino Plaza lighthouse and the Sirena Beach hotel!

Have you have you noticed that the colored cats look like the other characters, green for Luigi, blue for Toad, pink for Peach, and black for Rosalina

The music for Scamper Shores has a part in it which sounds like the beginning of the SMB2 Overworld Theme
More than just the beginning. The main part also sounds similar to the SMB2 overworld theme.
The whole song sounds a bit like yoshis island athletic to me.

The paintbrush now has bowser jr on it instead of egadd like in sunshine
He actually lost the original brush in the end of Sunshine and this is a new brush. You can tell because this new one has other smaller differences besides the logo change then the original that you can see if you look at them side by side.
It's a cool little continuity nod.

@@jesterx5542 it's not a new paintbrush but the same one as in Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser It's journey it's revealed that Morton somehow found the Paintbrush and gave It to Bowser Jr. (Also in the Italian version of Bowser Jr's journey the Paintbrush is wrongly translated to pencil. I know nobody cares, i Just wanted to tell It.)
The constant slowdown is a reference to the original movement speed

Hidden 8-bit Luigi's can be randomly found when you hit blocks but it's pretty rare though. I've only seen it happen once or twice.

Nintendo first wanted to make bowsers Fury a dlc for Odyssey.
One you missed is that Bowser Jr. laughs at you every time you get hit. In addition to adding some personality, this also references his boss fights in NSMBU, where he does the same thing, and is the only boss to do so.

The design of Fury Bowser almost seems to me like a nod to Godzilla; he has a megablast attack and rises from and sinks into the water.
It makes sense tbh because the original Godzilla movie and first Mario game are both in fact Japanese

I don't think this was intended, but... (paper mario color splash final boss spoilers) I think Fury Bowser is a reference to when Bowser was covered in black paint for PMCS's final boss. The goop AND Bowser look veeery similar when you put them side-by-side.

One of the main controllable characters that follows you around the entire game is an Easter egg.

i don't think snapshot mode counts as an easter egg, it's more like a feature carried over from odyssey
When I first saw fury Bowser, I thought it was a Paper Mario Color Splash reference because Bowser is covered in black paint, or some type of goop that makes him bigger, and gives him the will to destroy Mario.
Thx for spoilering me the cat shines you had a bad time with and that I would have had too, I made 100% competition as well
The Luigi-shaped shadow is called a Fury Shadow and it's made from the black goop that sorrounds the lake lapcat
If you touch a touch screen in handheld mode and super Mario 3-D worldYou can actually use the same when I go on the Wii U version
fury bowser is not only a nod to giga bowser, but also a reference black bowser from paper mario: color splash (an 7/10 game)
I noticed an easter egg: Captain Toad has to be rescued in both Bowser's Fury and 3D World to get a collectable, and nearby Scamper Shores there is an island with him being chased by Biddybuds, just like in 5-1 Sunshine Seaside in 3D World. And even further, on Mount Magmeow Hint Toad is being attacked by a Conkdor, as Captain Toad is in 2-1 Conkdor Canyon.
I'm not 100% sure but the cat shine keys might be a refference to SMW, in that game you had keys wich you held to unlock certain secret exits (I'm thinking this because 1: they both are keys and most Mario games don't have keys that you can hold, 2: the way mario holds it is pretty similiar)
There is a cat shine with the title "So close, still so far" or something like that. This is the name of challenge from Mario + Rabbids kingdom battle.

Wow. It kind of seems like bowsers fury was like. An extra kingdom from odyssey, that’s was maybe supposed to be DLC or for a sequel.

I knew the sunshine refrance right away. Plus shadow luigi is bowser's version of an evil character
The cats you can find are based on the colors of the other playable characters when in their cat suits. Green is Luigi, pink is peach, blue is toad, and black is Rosalina.
And calico is Daisy.
some areas of lake lapcat you can see faint 8-bit luigis: on walls, in small hidden gaps, etc.
Btw the reason why the peach amiibo give you random power ups is most likey a reffence to Super Mairo World final fight where she gives you random power ups
If you beat the game (50/100 cat shines) where bowser flies to the CAT sun and back, on the way back you can see a cloud being a cat too.
Interesting there were no references to Galaxy. Maybe because 3-D world already had a lot of Galaxy content in the later stages.
In the ending cutsene if u listen closely there is a little nod 2 bowser jr's theme from galaxy.
Bowser produces his fury form to come out immediatly
If you want to know HOW Fury Bowser came to be and HOW he and Bowser Jr. became stranded at Lake Lapcat, just pay close attention to the Bowser Jr.'s pictures that scroll alongside the end credits! Copycat may not have paid close enough attention to those pictures...
At lake meow meow there's a reference i think to godzilla 1954 with the crashed ship and giant footprints resembling a scene after the first aftermath
It's a shame that Smash is the thing that is remembered when seeing a giant Bowser, and not Yoshi's Island, literally the first mainline game where Bowser got huge.

In the ending before the credits, you can hear a bit of bowser jr's theme from mario galaxy.
You missed the 8-bit Luigi found in the question mark blocks hit by a raccoon suit, it’s was by the area with the spinning lava platforms. The ones with the bombs.

What about the super mario odyssey nod when he falls down at the start of bowsers fury- it looks like mario falling down metro kingdom tower before fighting mecha wiggler.

You can also see a 8 bit sprite Luigi rarely when breaking blocks
Have you noticed that at the end of Super Mario Sunshine that Bowser jr. Says "When I'm older I'm gonna fight that Mario some day." And in this game he helps Mario and this can't be a coincidence because he has the Paint Brush from Super Mario Sunshine and that there are Cat Shines that are like the Shine Sprits from Super Mario Sunshine. This was a crazy twist I figured out and wanted to share.
And at the start there is SMS paint
They just combined all 3 of there best selling games which was really smart on them

Another one is that when you defeat him at 50 or 100 cat shines when he flies in the air it’s actually meowser
There are pink green blue and black cats all over Lakelap cat and they have the same color as peach toad Luigi and Rosalina‘s cat form
Question: Since Bowser Jr has the Paintbrush, maybe this was all a set up, because at the end Bowser Jr just leaves Mario with no thank you, so I think the intire game was just a trick from Bowser Jr, please look more into this, or even better please make a video about this.
Um you talked about how plessie and bowser Jr change, but if you collect 100 cat shines and defeat the harder version of fury bowser then if you put on a cat power up you become a mini version of giant cat Mario.
The opening is also a refernce to Super Mario 3D World because it's really similar.
When you ground pound fury bowser as giga mario, it will make the hit sound from super Mario world

There's a easter egg when Fury Bowser wakes up with his cutscene there's the them from Super Mario World. The one that plays when you enter Bowser's boss fight in Super Mario World.
At 4:46 when you talk about Luigi, I just thought Id tell you that the shadow luigi is based of of the shadow Luigi from 3d land

Besides Bowser having white hair, Mario wearing his giant cat suit when he is normal size, and Bowser Jr looking like a cat, are there any differences after you 100% the game and any reason to go back after doing so?
no, i dont think so, but you can still have fun refighting bowser, riding plessie, and using snapshot mode

Actually when you finish the game three cats jump with you the cat's colours are red, green and blue the red one representing peach, green for luigi and blue for toad why isnt there like a light blue one representing rosalina i dont know

Bowsers fury is Paper mario Color splash, but takes insperation from 3D world and Mario with moon
If you watch the credits then you get paintings on the right side of the screen and a couple of them show bowser jr painting bowser
the clouds are also cats, u can see in some cutscenes
They added multiplayer where 1 player can play as Mario, the other can play as Bowser. jr

I got mad when I figured out that I could’ve just scanned my Bowser Smash Bros amino to summon Fury Bowser faster cause I waited around for so long for him to rise up out of the sludge that it’s not funny anymore
You have missed one secret that is that if you look closer to what they say there are parts blocked by plants trying to see them is not impossible
