i have this motor in my 2024 half ton gmc and i adore it, i get around 32mpg on the highway with a loaded toolbox and i tow 15k pounds regularly and i still get in the mid 20's its excellent
Luv these family trips using the vehicle as intended and if anyone ever questioned why buy these big truck base suvs just look at one of your videos 👍🏽
Yeah the texas highway system can get pretty confusing. What I found useful was to solely focus on what exit the GPS has listed at the top, then I just follow the signs. It's much better to do it this way compared to looking at the maps and trying to estimate the distance of your exit.
DFW traffic is also pretty wild. I am stressed every time we have to drive out there. People are flying and will NOT let you in. Hitting the right exit takes tactical maneuvers and aggressive merging.
First thing I did with my new Tahoe was ceramic tint the front seat door windows plus a glass protector for the information screen from Amazon for an exact fit.
I need this and want it even more. 🤦♂️. I have a 2023 palisade because I have a family of 6 (one being our dog) 3 boys who are just growing so fast and need so much space for all their sports and activity gear. It’s just starting to feel tight and they aren’t even teen agers yet. lol.
The high country Duramax is the ultimate all can do vehicle. And for some information the premier and high country trucks of Tahoe and Suburban do have ventilated seats. You had a mid level trim. But the Duramax has insane gas mileage while giving you robust towing and hauling. You just can’t lose with that type of vehicle.
Hey Miles, I just can't get over the thought of that massive Chevy Suburban powered by that 3.0 L diesel. Your experience is shared by other reviewers, the diesel engine is smooth and powerful enough for family duty. Just allow for slower passing time on the freeway. So Miles, which venue covers more acreage - the Texas State Fair or Buc-ee's?
I was quite impressed with the DuraMax, Edd. It would be my chosen powertrain for this rig. Good question re: Fair v. Buc-ees! Hmm...I'd wager the fair, but not by much
Can you please do a review of the new 2025 Honda According, I've seen it on other channels but no one has the elegance that you do. I would really like to see it!!
They don't have it ready on the website for configuration... I tried to build the diesel but its not available in the 2024 build configuration and 2025 is not loaded yet... .NICE Thinking maybe get this or the R1S from Rivian... Rivian may cost more but get more miles maybe out of it... pending cost of operations... I am thinking diesel fuel will cost more, over charging, but I am not sure of the MPG to distance vs the R1S true real world distance... says 400+ but maybe reality is 350... and if that is the same as the Suburban all that is left is the cost of fueling so car can go... I don't mind long wait time on charging either... just want to note the vehicle will be used for UBER, LYFT, and DOORDASHING.... also to get to work at AMAZON or doing Amazon FLEX.... LOL
My mom has a Wagoneer, I wish they would do something different with the 3rd-row cup holder situation, In the Wagoneer, theres padding for an armrest, big cupholder, big tray, usbc and usb. I wish they would do something more functional for the 3rd row in GM products. Also, in all of the GM products, there's no 3rd row middle headrest.
I wouldn't so much call it courage as perspective. I still feel a little anxiety in certain contexts, but I'm reminded why I do this: to let others share the experience and to support my family. That gets me through 😊
my mom owns a 6.2 suburban. its a great truck, incredibly fast, for the weight, especially with a 4wd launch. but the fuel economy is virtually non-existent. the 3.0 duramax fixes the economy, but ruins the performance.
With this suburban in particular, it's not meant to go fast. This thing is a torque monster made for family hauling and towing. Just like semi-trucks are (they also run inline 6 engines).
I think I am the only person that would take the 1946 Suburban and make it a daily drive after dropping a incline diesel in it... or V8.... and of course the suspension and transmission plus audio and AC will be added... modernize it but keep that old world look....LOL
I love the updated exterior but I don't know if I like the new dash. The bigger screen is nice but I liked the old cluster since it looked like a normal cluster. The new screens just look generic.
@@MilesPerHr Makes sense. The old design was unique and had a very distinct design, but the new one is just gm trying to look more modern. Not to mention them removing apple carplay on the evs for some reason.
Hey man, unrelated to the video but, I am so glad that you censor your kids' faces. Its so nice to see parents, who can understand the dangers of the internet.
They just cost too much money. I would consider buying the Z71 in red but I just can't justify the cost. I mean why get rid of my Toyota 4Runner when I have a lifetime warranty through the dealership. It's paid for. Until GM offers a reasonable price they can keep it.
Yes, it's 495 lb-ft. I think I said it correctly at one time, but I may have misspoken if I said 295 another time. It's also stated in the video description
