  • Mount Vesuvius is one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, located in the most densely populated region in Italy.
Thank to the Vesuvius we were lucky enough to have a look at one of the best preserved Roman sites, Herculano. This is a town that was cover by the volcano ashes under 25 meters, 2000 years ago and just rediscovered 250 years ago.
But talking about Naples's gastronomy we know we can long talk about Pizzas, Pasta, Coffee, Pastries & Seafood. What else do you do need!??
What and how they eat in Naples is simple, they have just been following their grand grand GRAND parents recipes and little things has change in their food. Don't ask me why, because I ask myself the same question! But I guess they are just so proud of their actual food that they are afraid of making any changes.
Keep in mind that Pizzas have been baking here for over 100 years, just as the first Pizzerias in the world were born here and like the first Margarita pizza was named here after a famous queen.
As you can see in Naples is all about the Pizza. This is the mother of all dishes here so expect to see it everywhere!
They have their own ® trade mark to cook their pizzas and for that they used the traditional wood ovens to cook them for just 4 mins!
There are more than Pizzas in Naples obviously, (hard to see anything else tho) like Pasta di mare, patata e pasta, pastries and more pasta.
The historic city centre is one of the biggest in Europe and despite of being a pretty chaotic and crowded city with crazy motorbike riders wearing NO helmets doing all short of business up and down the hilly streets, you can easily find a spot with delicious pizza, wine and cheeses. And don't forget the Gelatos (ice creams) or the Lemonchelos for the strongest ones!
