In my oppinion you should really use a much better microphone for this test... This video is unusable like this, both loudspeaker shoud sound much better. (I using a Sennheiser hd6xx for listening) The static noise at the beginning of this video (first 1-2 sec) is also clearly hearable... You cannot compare two loudspeaker like this.
Perhaps it's the RUclips compression, perhaps it's your microphone/wires/recording equipment or etc... but to my ears through my Marantz SR8015 and my junk Jamo S809's the Oberon's seemed to provide a far fuller and better experience in the midrange. This is completely contradictory to what most others here wrote... so perhaps it's my sound hardware improving it for me? Unfortunately you didn't provide us any important information such as your distance to the Left and Right drivers (to my eyes you are much closer to the Right drivers than the Left), your microphone make and model, your XLR microphone cable, your microphone input device and all devices and wires to the recording device and including the recording device. Add RUclips audio compression and everything goes to the human waste receptacle... then flushed. I'd recommend that you place in your video description a description of all of your hardware used for recording, but ideally an online stored FLAC 192kHz 24bit recording of such things. Then every listener/viewer can download and hear all as they were recorded without RUclips compression damaging/destroying the sound quality. Simply a suggestion to improve the experience and understanding of your viewers! Respectfully, David

If the latter, it may benefit you to examine your way of thinking about the intent of others. As a note: I wrote nearly the identical thing in other videos. There, the video makers/presenters gave me a thumbs up and some a positive written reply. There was zero negative intent and my suggestions were to provide viewers &/or subscribers a clear window into the results (a quality microphone and FLAC 192 Khz 24 bit files can make it seem you are actually in the room with the speakers - RUclips compression removes such fidelity & quality of sound). In my opinion, the rubicon is not sophisticated because the minimal impedance of the speaker is at 3.8 Ohms. Therefore you can feel free by the choice of your amp. I am using a Denon PMA 1600 NE. The amp provides more power than the speakers can picture up distortion free.
@Simon W Hello Simon. The buildt quality of the denon is very good. I like the integrated DAC, because you need no other components. In my opinion the denon has much more power than you can use for the dali´s. If you searching for a new amp for dali loudspeakers, 50 to 60 Watt on 8 Ohm will be enough. I use a external phono Stage, because I need an Impedance of 1k Ohm for the denon DL-103 cartridge, but the internal phono stage is very good for an integrated amplifier. the only thing what i don´t like is the volume control with the remote controll. it is not fine enough and you can´t decrease or increase in small steps.

I totally agree with you. I have to say that the bass of the rubicon is much better, and has more precission. in the hights both speakers are nearly on the same level.
@@MarkUs-jz2ov Would be really interesting to get the Opticons in this test. They have the ribbon tweeter which is the main difference between the speakers it seems.
Rubicon is best. But set Them further away from the wall. Dali have setup guide for those speakers.
