The game uses the Hi-Color Mode which can put more than 2,000 colors on-screen. Other games used it, like the aforementioned Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (except for battles), The Fish Files, and Cannon Fodder uses it for the FMVs. There are probably more games to use this during gameplay, but a lot of games on the system uses it for still images. Using this technique, it can put more colors on-screen than the TurboGrafx-16, the Genesis, and the SNES. But it seriously limits how many sprites can appear on the screen.
@@ShotOfSelf It seems so. "7th Sense" from Italy. Guess they were the portable equivalent of The Illusions Gaming Company (made Scooby Doo Mystery on Genesis, Blazing Dragons on PS1, etc.). Too bad they didn't make any GBA adventure games. Just a GBA port of Paperboy & Rampage and a DS port of B. Sokal's Paradise. Oh well.
Yikes. No wonder this was a PAL exclusive. The music is _okay_ and the graphics are *very* impressive for GBC standards. It's the subpar looking gameplay and bland dialogue that suck so bad here. Addams Family without its bizzare writing is like Sonic without his 90's attitude. It just feels so awkward. I never even knew there was an Addams Family cartoon that came out after the Hanna Barbera one.
The game isn't so hot, but The New Addams Family Series sure does look pretty damned amazing for a GBC game.
Nice Background from RetroArch)))

I haven't seen this version before. But the graphics and colours do stand out
The music is awesome in this game, so I looked up who composed it and it’s Naoki Kodaka!
You're kidding. This mediocre OST doesn't even sound like something Kodaka-san would compose.
You are amazing. very nice share.
Doesn't seem too bad for a portable point and click
I believe the same company did ‘The Fish Files’. That was pretty fun to go through
