  • Here is a tour of our 2019 Casita Travel Trailer - Independence - Set up with twin beds. How we pack and organize our Casita, including DIY Casita curtains. On our first trip out in our 2019 Casita Independence Deluxe 17’, we went thrift store shopping and picked up several items to make our Casita life simpler more enjoyable. Great tour. Answered many of my questions. Don is a lucky guy to have himself a Rachael Boston lookalike.

I put a deposit down on a casita Freedom deluxe and am getting it in 2023. Love what you did with the closet in yours. Where did you buy the hanging rack? I want to do the same thing.

I saw an HEB label, which means you're in Texas! God Bless Texas! Good video, I love your Casita and have been trying to get my wife to agree that we really need one. So far, no such luck.

Great job. You have great taste and style. Love the curtains. Great idea on the hooks.
I also like the different comforters. (almost like a “his & hers”)

Nice video. Quite useful to see how one adapts their trailer to make it move livable so we can better imagine the lived-in look. Thanks.

That's a great idea to put command hooks on the mirror and cover it by hanging large garments. The full length mirror is nice to have when you need it... but as you said... it's distracting to have in a living area.

nice going on the curtains......didn't think of that idea (I have a Casita)...I started using Command Hooks that seem to work okay, sometimes break. ...really do need curtains to blackout the sunshine as the blinds aren't enough (at least in hot/sunny FL). Feel free to show us how/what to cook w/ the instapot....thrift stores are a fav stop when I'm trailering around the USA.....oh yeah, what do you store in the back of your tow?

Sorry for the late reply. I would definitely buy the Independence again. After a year in the Casita, we finally have it set up how we want it, with a queen bed. I hope to do another video about our current setup, soon.

Some nice ideas....so many of these are issues that folks've been complaining about for years - like lack of shelves in closet- - or more importantly, the poor & tiny battery access.....sadly, Casita continues to turn a blind eye.....

They are a small family-owned business and reluctant to change. They only can handle a certain number or orders each year and they have a waiting list, so I guess they feel like they don't need to. Evenso, coming up with solutions is kinda fun. Since I made this video, we've changed a lot. Hopefully I'll learn my new video editing software and I'll make another tour video soon.

@@marybethhirsch8480 nope - obviously u don't really care - family run with a waiting list? Come on - just how hard is a new pullout battery tray, or a cassette toilet? = really, new cabinet latches? Like that shouldn't've been fixed how many years ago? A grown man - taking about hooks instead of a shower bar? Extra charge for a tiny pop out shelf? Really, would it be just too too much to ask for mini blinds & roller shades? Or would that send minds reeling?

The only thing i don’t like about Scamps & Casitas is the carpet on the walls. So strange. Would much prefer they put the insulation btwn two layers of fiberglass.

Hi, I just found out that the deceptive ad practices by the Casita Enterprises, Inc. of Rice, Texas are against the law in Texas. So for anyone who went to Casita with an ad from RVTraders or someplace else; and Casita didn’t honor their ad discounts of extras like awnings, large water tanks or high rise packages. You may file a complaint with Texas Attorney General Office and collect your refund. Here is what to ask for Texas guides consumer protection from deceptive ads. Make sure you have a copy of that ad. I have copies of the March to May 2020 and the August to the September 2020 ad. You can reach me at Ronny Noll - FB.

33' is not a upgrade , its just bigger . I have a 33' , now that I'm to disabled to travel . I traveled for 12 yrs pulling a 17' Casita. There is no better towable to have for the serious traveler . If you travel as much as I did , be carefull that 33' may self destruct . Hope I wasn't to hard on you , with my very experienced opinion .

VOOODOOO a Casita owner feels like they have a secret world. I will see ours amongst the giants and think wow it is small, but as I walk in it is love. It has everything we need. We live in ours at least 3 months a year. One big secret is, we get 15 miles to a gallon on average. We love it and would not want anything different

We started out with large trailers, went even bigger to a 5th wheel, with a washer/dryer and three slides. It’s great, but just bought a 2017 Casita Freedom Deluxe 17’ to take places the 5th wheel won’t go. We just traveled over 3000 miles in the Casita. It’s so easy to tow, hookup and gas mileage is terrific. We love it! Seriously thinking about selling the Excel, or as I call it, the condo on wheels. There are advantages to both RV’s but less is more sometimes.
