Yeah in my experience with car audio /12v car stuff is if your car has an automatic transmission, look for where the clutch cable assembly would be located. Usually already has a grommet in the firewall for you. Another option is if you're antenna cord runs through the firewall. And if you have a 7 wire trailer harness your yellow wire is a reverse signal. So that will give you a cheap and easy way to get a trigger signal

Installed 1 - 11/20 in Ford Extended E350 . Ran cable overhead to rear Driver door . Cable wouldn't reach Rr Passenger door license plate. Plus it blocked Plate Light. Works fine. Made a housing for it . Tail light wire Crimps were hard to get contacting actual wires .

Hi, I just found out that the deceptive ad practices by the Casita Enterprises, Inc. of Rice, Texas are against the law in Texas. So for anyone who went to Casita with an ad from RVTraders or someplace else; and Casita didn’t honor their ad discounts of extras like awnings, large water tanks or high rise packages. You may file a complaint with Texas Attorney General Office and collect your refund. Here is what to ask for Texas guides consumer protection from deceptive ads. Make sure you have a copy of that ad. Hi, I just saved enough to put a down payment on the purchase a 17' Spirit Casita and found an add from Casita on RVTrader.com. It was selling for $22,694 and came with an awning, 25 gal water tank, and high rise package. I called Carla Pouch and told her about the ad and that I wanted to buy it. She stated that it doesn't come with an awning; So I sent he a link of the advertisement. She stated that she didn't think the manager would honor that ad. The next day I checked the add and it had change to no awning. I talked to CarIa, who stated that the manager was not honoring that sales ad. I made copies of both ads and stated that I would talk to BBB and other people who had told me about the great Casita company. What is, you opinion, and if you would please call Carla Pouch - 903-200-4641 and give your opinion on whether Casita should honor their advertised price. Thank You, Ron.

The only thing i don’t like about Scamps & Casitas is the carpet on the walls. So strange. Would much prefer they put the insulation btwn two layers of fiberglass.

Some nice ideas....so many of these are issues that folks've been complaining about for years - like lack of shelves in closet- - or more importantly, the poor & tiny battery access.....sadly, Casita continues to turn a blind eye.....

Videos like this that leave in "everyday people" problems (upside down camera, finding the grommet, etc) are the best. No fancy editing and cutting out the real work that is involved. Most of these DIY videos make it look like it's a 10 minute job. Thanks for keeping it real.

Haha nice little project. Got the same camera supposed to arrive tomorrow for my car. Still deciding if I want to trigger it with the reverse light or use the 12v adapter with the push button.

That's a great idea to put command hooks on the mirror and cover it by hanging large garments. The full length mirror is nice to have when you need it... but as you said... it's distracting to have in a living area.

The instructions were HORRIBLE! My camera came with similar wires but not exactly the same but your installation helped me figure out my issue. I only had one receiver for power so what I needed to do was leave the red and black wires in the green housing AND feed then feed BOTH the red and red & black wires to that same green housing. So I have the cigarette lighter sending power to the monitor and the camera! I will also mention that customer "support" was worse than the instructions in the manual. Thanks again!
