I needed a little set for some bookshelves and these seem to be what I am looking for. I was wondering if they were any good, now I know they are ok for me. Thank you

Thanks Michael we are very slowly finding our feet. Always interesting to hear how people have their speakers set up. I have read so many ways from on top of old tea chests to stone, wood, steel and you name it stands. All the fun of experimenting.

I Michael, I can see this making sense on a laminate floor or any hard floor but if you have a carpet, why not put the spikes straight on it. Probably a spike would do less damage, going in-between the yawn rather than having it compressed by penny sized disks.
BTW, I have created my own budget speaker stands. I found oak wooden cubicles on on-line that perfectly fit LP's. I mounted high quality caster wheels under them to give an industrial look. And now I have multi purpose speaker stands (the LP's actually helping with stability) that can be easily moved around and held in place by the breaks on the wheels.

Thanks for the comment Hugo, I only included the carpet sample as when reading around about spike shoes that a few used them on carpet for some reason. At my old house I just had the spikes straight on to the carpet which made more sence to me to

I like the A sound better. The bottom end has more slam, rhythm, and detail. The B sound had more detail in the mids but sounded a little sucked out and the music was less involving. I closed my eyes as you were A/B’g the two and over 90% of the time I was correct in my choice. Was the A sound the spikes or isolation pucks?

I totally agrea A keeps the bass tight and top end just at the right ear level. Felt B was a more muffled bass and top end was about 5mm out of ear level

Not an easy job with the a big heavy pair of speakers doing it alone. I found the best way to tilt the speaker backwards and get the front 2 shoes on, then tilt the speaker forward to get the 2 rear shoes on. With 2 people its very easy
