    I had these on my SB13 Ultras. Sold the SVS 13s and bought a pair of Rythmik F18s. I installed the SVS Soundpath feet on them as well. Yes it makes a difference. Less boomy and more defined. Also cuts down on the rattles.

    I have 2 SVS PB12-NSD subs in my basement listening room on a concrete slab. I used some packaging material from equipment at work to make some risers, it was like night and day

    I still hang on to my old Yamaha system yep old(1997). Shortly after I bought them I noticed the bass sounded off. I checked the connections for phase, ok there. I visually inspected the speakers from a distance and realized that they were sitting on the floor(carpeted). For a test I raised the fronts up about 1/4 inch with some shipping foam. Result: A much more clear base response/more defined. I was surprised that this did the trick as I was used to large ESS AMT 1B Studio Monitor Towers. I quickly realized that these small Yamaha Wedge speakers had the woofer very close to the floor, this the issue. I believe this would also help on hard floors, in a different way though. Little things sure cam make a big difference👍👍

    Great review. Thank you.
    I recently purchased an SVS SB-1000 Pro sub and it was too boomy and shook the floor & walls creating rattle that bothered my wife in the next room.
    I put these soundpath isolator feet on and it’s a huge difference. I prefer the tighter bass that it produces and I can actually turn it up louder than before and it doesn’t affect the next room at all.
    It seems as though the LFE just exists in the sound space of the listening room now and there’s little to no transfer into any of the surrounding area. Remarkable.
    Total game changer for my setup.
    I’ll probably get another one of these SVS/Isolator setups for the other side of the room to round out my 7.2 setup.

    I bought them and took them off. They steal the bass feeling

    • @abxaudiophiles

      And that’s the point. To keep the bass from resonating and muddying up the soundstage. Much tighter and cleaner bass, leaving the mids and highs much more focused and detailed. But that may not be what everyone prefers. But hey man, it’s like ice cream, everyone got their flavor, as long as you’re jamming bro. 😉😊☺️🙌

    Not sure if you watched John Hunter's of REL video on why he's not a fan of isolating subwoofers from the floor.
    Essentially, the tightening of the bass that you observe is because you're upping the frequency of the bass by raising it and isolating it and hence losing the lower frequencies.

    • @abxaudiophiles
      @abxaudiophiles  7 месяцев назад +1

      I totally get it. But I much prefer the tighter and cleaner bass presentation. So, it’s all down to what the goal of the consumer is. 😊😊👌

    It doesn’t look like you have any videos of your Emotiva speakers. I was thinking about going all emotiva. Speakers anyway. I do like the outlaw amps. How does your emotiva speakers sound? Do you recommend?

    • @abxaudiophiles
      @abxaudiophiles  Год назад

      I have had all of the Emotiva speakers except the T3, and that includes bookshelf's and centers for the most part.. You will be very hard pressed to find something new on the retail market that will get close to competing with the Emotiva Line up for the same money or even slightly higher.... The T2 towers were my reference speaker for a VERY long time. I at one point had an entire system bot 2 channel and home theater that was 100% Emotiva... Zero regrets. PS - Outlaws amps look fantastic as well. Probably close to the same level of bang for buck as Emotiva in some cases. Although the XPA lineups are stunning.

    Hi, my subwoofer does not have threaded feet, can I still use these Soundpath feet? If so, what do you recommend to attach them? Double-sided tape? Or is it better to use the IsoAcoustics Iso Puck's?

    • @abxaudiophiles
      @abxaudiophiles  9 месяцев назад +1

      I just used a short wood screw on some of my other subs. Also the threaded inserts can be used. Also a good double sided adhesive tape would work as well if you’re not moving them a bunch. Cheers.

      cables are about signal/electrical transmission, this other about physical, mechanical movement, very very different things.
      That's like saying 'wow, if the tape helped the fan stop rattling, why wouldn't changing power cables stop the fan from rattling as well.
