My dad had this. I bought a charger for the battery and it works a charm. I’ve been using it until I found a better camcorder, still in the handycam series.
Aw man I didn't even know camcorders like these were a thing back then. I actually wanted a camcorder back in those days but I don't know if people use them anymore.
They are all over the place on ebay, you will just pay a pretty penny because eBay drives the sellers to jack the prices up. I have 4 camcorders myself that record from MiniDV to MiniDVD
Video tape camcorders are MUCH better than this one from 2008. Mine was both Panasonic VHS C camera I use in 2019-2021 now 2022 I now using the omni movie Panasonic vhs camcorder!
You’re using the omni movie! I just got two, but both of them have a little issue that I don’t know how to fix it yet, how did you get to get one working omni movie?
I just bought my little babies, which are two jvc vhs-c camcorders from 1995 and 1996, they’re both working and recording, and I’m really so freaking happy. And I also got a omini movie panasonic vhs and another vhs panasonic, but these two are with some issues that I have to fix, one of them doesn’t turn on the camera, and the other doesn’t show the viewfinder but I could see video signal by plugging it into tv
I have one of those in my house, unfortunately it has no memory left but I can still use an SD Card for it. How can 256mb get too many footages, well this baby yes.
Do you still have/use that camera? Think i have one too! Thank you 🤓 i gave a couple of these, one a Samsung & the other a Sony. One of them has what i believe is a Microdrive
I got 2 from early 2000's i wouldnt call them vintage either if they recorded 480 dvd on MiniDV cassette. Maybe vhs-c i would call vintage. And playing a 480 dvd on a 6 inch smartphone looks damn good
@@ACommenterOnRUclips Yeah VHS is the real deal when it comes to "vintage." I have two VHS-C camcorders at home and they work great, and definitely have that more "classic" look than something like Hi8 or Mini DV
Please don’t say back in the day when referring to 2008, it makes me feel old
Back in the day
@@Alexxx3 are you referring too 2008?
@@Caleb-fv5fp yes
@@Alexxx3 damn you
The year I was born
Man this DVD HandyCam was way more futuristic than I remember, way ahead of its time indeed
Yea no kidding, record on dvd disc was mighty impressive.

Any chance you wanna sell the old one?
@@gjcrippen4978 nah bro who knows what I’ll need it for in the future
My 1st camcorder was xmas of 2000 from my wife, the Sony DCR-TRV11 ..... miniDV cassette
Way ahead of its time!

Man, I just got one vhs-c for filming in 2023, go for it!

The cameras I shoot on are from the 1940s-1990s. 2008 seems pretty new to me lol.
My birth was recorded on this exact camera (11/11/07)
So epic and wonderful : )that was so super great :)
Thank you!!! 💙💙

I have the same exact thing! Its great
Let’s gooo!!
Nice! I have a '97 Canon Camcorder.
The older the better hahaha so cool!
@@Ricky.Pestana For sure! These old camcorders just have such a charm to them, don't they?
How does the memory stick hold up is it good? 😊
I use a memory stick duo adapter paired with a micro sd card! So far it’s still going strong!
I was not born yet but my dad handed his old family camcorder to me lol😊. I’m a 2010s

My dad also gave it to me 😊

I wish!
Sony DCR-TRV11 480p miniDV cassette
Sony DCR-TRV30 480p miniDV cassette
Sony HDR-HC3 1080 on MiniDV cassette
Sony HDR-UX10 1080 on mini DVD
Yeah I think I wanted one of these back in the day but were super pricy
how do i transfer footage to my computer with that camera?
You would need a memory stick duo adapter that takes a micro sd card! That’s what I do with mine!
nice cam corder i have the same but its was difrent
Too bad smartphone cameras took out camcorders. To be fair, recording videos on phones isn't that fun :(
No, people allowed smartphones to replace camcorders and point and shoot.
Ayo that camera has alot of zoom 2000x digital zoom geez idk why someone would use that amount of zoom!
I have no idea I have the same camera and I have to admit the zoom is indeed pretty insane
Lol i have the mini dv one
And mine has 1 mega pixel with a 1/4 size of a apsc sensor
Not sure I'd call this vintage. I'd call camcorders that were made in 2003 at most vintage, but even that's barely vintage.
I got 2 from early 2000's i wouldnt call them vintage either if they recorded 480 dvd on MiniDV cassette.

2008 isn’t old.
To each their own!
I have the exact same camera it's soooooo old and it's charger kinda brocken , can you give a tutorial on how to use it and like all?
I could do that! 💙
