One of the most egregious HOF snubs ever in my opinion. Been a die hard Lions fan for about 40 years. Moore was unstoppable. Game after game he put in work. And never gets any recognition, respect, and very under appreciated. He was Megatron before Megatron. The votes need to do what’s right and give him his well deserved gold jacket.
The most underrated WR of the 90's. So much that the perception of the Lions was that Barry was all they had: despite the Lions having another skill player leading the league in key WR stats and/or setting NFL records as well. He nearly had 10,000yds receiving for his career.
Before Megatron came to Detroit, there was this guy. Herman Moore. Between 1994-1997 seasons, he had four-straight Pro Bowls and three-straight, First-Team All-Pros. This was a time, where he was almost uncover-able.
Herman Moore is my favorite player of all time. He's so underrated. Also underrated and way underutilized today is his favorite route; the stop-short-on-a-go route
Not the original but I get what you’re saying, I’m from Detroit and he had a 3-4 year run when he was elite, high point the ball, caught everything with his hands great wr
4:53...that was a catch (which of course it was) yet Calvin Johnson's catch, wasn't a catch? NFL and their stupid blurry rules used to control outcomes.
This is a guy with nearly 10k yards and absolutely nobody talks about him…he played with Barry for his entire career so maybe that has something to do with it but still
Herman Moore had hands of glue. Always caught the ball away from his body. Could jump out of the stadium. He'd earhole guys when blocking also. Just a great player.

He was also Randy Moss before Randy Moss.

If there's a list of best WRs of the 90s. Rice, Sharpe, Rison, Carter, Irvin, and yes Moore needs to be on that list

Underrated wide receiver
Very.
The most
Always had multiple catches in hiels regular season games
He was so much fun to watch, he never got the recognition he deserved. Herman, Bret, Johnny, and Barry, damn that was fun to watch!!
Herman Moore is my favorite player of all time. He's so underrated. Also underrated and way underutilized today is his favorite route; the stop-short-on-a-go route
@Sam m.....it's almost a shame he wasn't drafted by miami. If he played with Marino he'd have gone to the hall of fame.
@@stevep2380 As someone from SoFla, i can say you're so right. Love Herman Moore, one of my all-time faves.
@@stevep2380 he’s not in the HoF? That’s a damn shame
Good choice and yes he was very very underrated
Most proper highlight video of Herman Moore ever. Hearing Pat Summerall is the icing on the cake...👍
Most of Barry runs, you see number 84 making a hell of a block. Could catch with the best in history.
My guy belongs in the HOF
Sadly he’s HOVG material. If he didn’t get hurt towards the end of his career, he would’ve been. Great player though
@@goblue193he’ a 5x all pro receiver, what do you mean “Hall of very good”?
My guy! Loved this dude when he played. Had incredible hands.
Nice. Underrated. I thought he was better than Irvin while playing in the same era.
But Moore did it with QB that kind of sucked, Irvin did it with the most acurate QB in Troy Aikman he can make an argument.
What if Moore played with a QB like a John Elway it might be a different conversation.
Herman Moore was definitely better than Michael Irvin
Spot on, Irvan played within a dynasty that arguably had the best o line in the 90s. Moore was an absolute freak!
Herman was WAY better than people remember
*_Best highlight channel ever._*
Damn right
For sure
He was the prototype of the big receiver before randy and TO and others
The original holder of receptions in a session
Not the original but I get what you’re saying, I’m from Detroit and he had a 3-4 year run when he was elite, high point the ball, caught everything with his hands great wr
I loved those 90's Lions!
One of my all time favorites
4:53...that was a catch (which of course it was) yet Calvin Johnson's catch, wasn't a catch? NFL and their stupid blurry rules used to control outcomes.
The first Detroit Megatron
This is a guy with nearly 10k yards and absolutely nobody talks about him…he played with Barry for his entire career so maybe that has something to do with it but still
Having Chris Carter and Moss in his division with Favre didn’t help. Definitely a HoFer he was always a threat. Top tier WR
Cris Carter and Herman Moore were my favorites
I swear if the 90s Lions would have had a consistent QB, they would have made a decent little run. Team had talent.
Herman Moore had hands of glue. Always caught the ball away from his body. Could jump out of the stadium. He'd earhole guys when blocking also. Just a great player.
That first td was absurd 😂
Bucs should have literally been called Bums tho… lmao
@@McRemmyBaby Yeah the "tackling" on that was infinitely atrocious 🤣
Can you believe they only won one playoff game with Barry and Moore!
As a Vikings fan we always respected Herman Moore. Thank god the Lions weren’t just a tad bit better they would’ve had a dynasty
Moore had trash to average QBs and was a beast
With the exception of Dave Krieg who was in the twilight of his career
Imagine his stats in today's NFL with a good QB. 🤔
Best lions receiver ever...
I gotta give that one to Calvin Johnson.
But Herman Moore had the best hands. Just seemed to catch everything.
Both should be HOF
We Want #Moore #DetroitVsEverybody #313StateOfMind #RoaringInVegas
You gotta do irving fryar next
Hermans Moore
the first randy moss?
More of a first megatron
@@gageprince4265 no megatron plays slower and isnt as fluent with his cuts
@@oceapliler2950 - Strange that you say that because I see Moore as the slightly slower version of Calvin
Herman s’mores
Could have easily had 7 seasons of over 1,000 yards. Herman was a solid WR in his day.
Ok so he was just a earlier randy moss?
Awesome video! Could you do a Bob Sanders or Nnamdi Asomugha video next?
Herman or Calvin??🤔
How did deion do against him
@@beyondtruth4025 I thought he gave up one to Flipper Anderson of the rams
Do Bob Sanders please
Hands!!!
Dance!!!
OG randy moss?? lmao
I have his rookie card
Randy Moss dad😮
I have his football card
Spike between the legs - more WRs need to do the Herman Moore spike, no Gronk Spike bs
Revis jason taylor
Wasted career on lions just like Sanders and Calvin
And Stafford now too. His time with Detroit was wasted.
I am sure Moore got double teamed a lot. He was the Original Megatron!
