      The reason why a lot of people are having wrong skin care routine. They follow celebs or vloggers skin care routine with zero idea of its rationale. And now that we have that kind of video where it teaches us different skin care rationales, they want to skip it to just what to use lmao

      Skin at that age is rapidly changing and hard to keep up with. Cheapest thing is to look at baby products because they are super gentle. Watch your diet!! I'm not Vegan personally but if you try to adapt some of those practices as much as possible it really helps your health including your skin! More veggies than meat (Generally) and avoid (Cow) dairy as much as you can.

      Baby products are better than these things, dude for cleansers. For toners, use something organic. Like the Human Nature hydrating toner. I think Sephora has it. You don't have to use like serum for now but you can use Iwhite sleeping mask, and then their moisturizer too. Reading is the key.

    • @kevincarlperez
      @kevincarlperez 6 лет назад +56

      yes omg. you can try Human Nature's facial care products. it is not well advertised but trust me, it is worth the try plus their products are all natural and no harmful chemicals added.
      i am using their Balancing Facial Wash and their Balancing Facial Toner (Manila Elemi or Elemi) for 2 years and those two really helped to stop my face from being too oily and being too acne-prone.

    When we do our makeup, there's this technique called "Baking." I think it might also affect the enlargement of the pores. The more matte your face is, the more the skin will trigger to oil up. The more oily you get, the more blotting paper you use. The more blotting paper you use, the more the pores enlarge.

      oil after moisturizer because if you put oil before moisturizer (which are mostly water soluble), the moisturizer won't be able to absorb into the skin. it's like when you put oil in water, oil sits on top of water. it's similar for our face/skin as well 😊

      I’d say not all Asian have good skin. Personally I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and it took me a long long time to get over the stubborn acne and hyperpigmentation. But when I stop using foundation and simplify my makeup routine, my skin just get better. I recommend using Korean skin care since it’s so inexpensive and effective. Some Western people say it doesn’t work on their skin but you can give them a try if you want, just start researching.
      And yeah pretty much you’re what you eat. I have been cutting down carbs, sugar and dairy in my daily meal for 3 months. Yesterday I slept over at my friend’s and after I rinsed all the makeup and clean my face, my friend was shocked. She ask me if that’s my bare skin and she said it looks good. For the first time ever in my 21 years, I felt proud of my skin.

      For your red face issue, it could be the skin inflammation. Try to use a soothing/cooling facial cream to ease it before going to bed. Or if you’re more like oily skin, use something light, like aloe gel(again, specifically for face) you can try Aloe gel by Nature Republic or Midnight blue cream by Klairs. Just some suggestions

    My dermatologist, who I used to see because of my acne, told me that one shouldn’t use anything on your skin. Only washing it with water and nothing else. When I have a lot of break outs my instinct is to wash the skin even more and use more products, which makes it worse. If I follow my doctor’s advice instead to just leave the skin alone, the blemishes are gone in two or three days.

    Cleanse. Tone. Mask. Tone again after mask. Serum. Hydrate. Moisturize. Eye cream.
    Day time use sunscreen. Even wen the sun isnt out..the sun rays are still there.
    Try not to exfoliate every single day if u have oily skin..it will produce extra oils.
    Hydrate nd moisterize are too different things.
    Hydrate : putting moisture into the skin.
    Moisterize: keeping and locking the moisture into the skin.

    • @TheCoolKidWithaHat
      @TheCoolKidWithaHat 6 лет назад +6

      I have this too. First off, DON'T pick on your arms, I know it's tempting but it's obviously not helping any and makes it look worse. For me what worked best was using a lotion with lactic acid. It works by exfoliating the skin slightly every time you use it which encourages skin cell turnover (which is good since we get a build up of keratin). You use it everyday at first, after a shower and before bed is a great time so it abdorbs really well. It does smell a bit but it doesn't linger long. Also if you use it make sure to wear sunscreen as it increases your skin's sensitivity to sunburn.
      I use the brand Amlactin, you can get a big bottle for relatively cheap on Amazon. I'm not sure what other brands there are but this worked great for me!

    • @fantasieanime

      I don't have it as sever as you apparently do, but I had it all over my arms and legs. Something that was easy and helped me a lot was getting an Italy towel (exfoliating towel) and just normal body wash and firmly exfoliated those areas everyday in the shower for a month. Then as soon as I got out of the shower, I would rub in thick moisturizer until it soaked in. After that, I didn't exfoliate as much, maybe twice a week, but kept up the moisturizer everyday as soon as I stepped out and toweled dry. Also lowering the temperature of the water I showered in did wonders, (I used to take scalding showers). Consistency is key to controlling it, since it is chronic. The main thing for me was kickstarting it, and then finding a routine I could maintain.

    • @delulu_neelulu
      @delulu_neelulu 6 лет назад +1

      I have it too I don't wear sleeveless because of that, does it go completely if I moisturize it everyday and use what you guys have been using? My doctor gave me something I don't remember and told me to mix it with coconut oil and use it everyday it didn't help

    • @fantasieanime
      @fantasieanime 6 лет назад +5

      @@delulu_neelulu I think the big thing is to exfoliate, but not pick at the bumps, because it is keratin buildup on the follicles of your pores, and then your hair grows under the bump (ugh). So making sure you physically exfoliate before you moisturize is key

    This channel is absolutely amazing and so educational! I’ve learned so much more about how to take care of my skin and how to fix things because you girls address the mistakes people make while trying to do the “DO’s”
    ex: I never would’ve known that oily skin types can/should try oil cleansing, but to also not forget to clean off the extra oil because it can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. I’ve seen many people ONLY oil cleanse then complain about how it’s made them breakout...

    Question for you ladies: I got my brows microbladed and I have to use blotting films regularly for the first 10-12 days. It’s also suggested to “dry heal” which consists of not washing the face for the 10-12 days and really avoiding getting the brows wet during this time. Obviously i can clean the skin with a micellar water...but It’s recommended to blot my forehead and my brows due to the oil from our skin messing w/ the overall look of the healed brows. I have noticed that my skin is producing more oil since I started using blotting films. I’m on my second session of (microblading and healing) and the oil production has just gone crazy! Do you have any tips or ideas of ways I can keep the skin more balanced? Is there something you think would be great for washing my skin whilst not actually splashing it w/ water? Any tips or suggestions would be great!!!!

      You know those thin tissues that often stand on tables in cafés? They're in little boxes and you pull them out one by one? I think those are exactly the same as the blotting sheets. But I most often just use toilet paper because now I only ever feel the need to blot when I've been travelling/driving in a car/while at shopping malls where lights are crazy. I damaged my skin badly this summer with exfoliating and it still can't bounce back. But, since I reduced washing and switched to gentler products, it's not getting so oily anymore. Also, I did use to blot regularly midday but like I said, I don't have the need for it anymore when I have an ordinary day.
      When you think of the skin on your body, you only wash it once a day and don't touch it and it's nice. However, we constantly touch and pick at the skin on our faces and then wonder why it reacts the way it does. Lately I'm thinking it would look the best if we treated it the same as the skin on the rest of our body.

      It might be a bit obnoxious to suggest this, but it has changed my life. My face used to be SO oily, blotting papers could only help so much. Working 10 hour shifts, I just gave up eventually. However, after I invested in certain skin care products (drunk elephant has my heart now), things started to even out. There are also a lot of more affordable options instead of DE. I changed from a super mattifying foundation to the Tarte water foundation. Then I set with Kat Von D powder and Urban Decay setting spray. I can last 12 hours easily now without my foundation moving. Don't give up! Find what makes your skin happiest and don't go Overkill with the mattifying products because it can backfire.

I have been exfoliating every other day and doing a pore peel off mask with it and everyday after the shower I'll apply organic coconut oil(coconut oil kills bacteria, fungi and viruses) I've been doing this for 2 weeks and my acne has cleared up and my pores are smaller.. if you do have oily skin just wash your face before and only apply a little.. after watching this the only thing I may add to my routine is the toner. I'm 22 and I've just now found a routine that works lol I know she said dont do it but it works for me. Like I said coconut oil kills pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi. So it may be oily and sound bad putting it on an oily face but it's helping.
