While this may be a joke to you, while in highschool, I actually modded this exact model of pen. The chassis is so that those fancy ass Montblanc ballpen refills fit in exactly, giving you a 200$ writing experience for only ~ 5-10$.
Funny thing about this is that the big brand refills actually suck. Parker, Mont blanc, etc all of their refills are kinda really bad. When you replace refills with a uni Jetstream refill, that's when the real high end experience starts IMHO Still no better than a fountain pen though. I encourage everyone to go try one sometime

II’m into fountain pens, and one thing we do in that hobby is to use silicone grease to ensure no leakage between the threads and other parts. I got my first mechanical keyboard last week and I didnt have any lube made for switches, so I took a chance and brush-lubed my switches with the same silicone grease as I use for my pens. And it worked really well! I got some actual lube for switches now though, and adding that as well to the same switches has now made my keyboard sound really nice and thocky!

If you have both pilot JUICE and Juice up pens, you can use the spring from the juice up and have two springs in the JUICE pen for stability. plus, you can throw away the stanky ass ink from the JUICE to replace with the Juice up ink for a smoother and better writing .
I'd recommend putting some foam between top cap and clicking mechanism. I'd also recommend switching the rubber on bottom housing to the lubbed one and spraying it with some golden spray. The standard ink is just lame and U should definetely change it to a better one ( the best would be ink gained freshly from the minecraft squid) and bonus move is changing a nib to a platinum one so the sound would be better. That's probably all the changes that would make remarkably difference, all other is fine.
As a true pen lover who has faithfully owned an Avanti Pearlized Semi-gel, my upgrades were: a leather grip after the original turned brittle, a longer spring to increase the kick and click, a custom engraving and a modified end cap that can accommodate a screw eye, allowing for the pen to be worn as a necklace.
I used the Pilot G2 until I discovered the Pilot Varsity. The Varsity is a fountain-style pen that I fell in love with almost immediately. I do a lot of journaling, and the way the varsity writes is really nice. It's a little scratchy when writing print, though

I prefer the g1 the classic feel is just more addictive and the vintage click sound of the old style springs are just pure mechanical!. It does have downsides in the amount of ink it holds and how difficult the replacement process is, all and all the g2 is a great revision of the g1 and i love seeing people getting into the hobby of modding pens. The g2 is a great beginner pen because its so open source. Not sure about my mum but cool video nonetheless
Btw, just like pcs, you can have sleeper pens, where you could take an old pen body, preferably with no ink, and put in a working ink from a pen that looks like crap, and there you have it! I have a clear pen that I did some retrofitting in.
My ADHD was incredibly excited to see how i could mod my ballpoint pen and i have to say that i was slightly disapointed. However, all of that disapointment went away as soon as you said we'll next learn how to modify your mum!! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THAT

I preferred the Pilot G-TEC-4. Wasn't a fan of G-2 because it has more friction against the paper than the G-TEC-4, not to mention larger line width.
