@smallvillefnf That’s why I got an iPhone 11 Pro in 2020 and still use it to this day. I intend to run this phone into the ground and use it until I absolutely can’t anymore. I’ll buy a battery replacement before I spend another grand on a phone

I might be leave the gang soon folks. I cracked my screen a month ago and 15 season is around the corner. Was on the edge about upgrading before I cracked the screen as well.
I got the 11. Battery health is around 75% but honestly the battery isn’t like horrible. I used to have an SE 2020 and that one had horrible battery. I’m debating if I should change the battery; Apple quoted me $90 to replace, but the iPhone 13 ain’t looking too bad either.
@@khairulfaiz7398 I don't understand why he never got a phone case and screen protector. I just barely got an iPhone 11 64GB and bought a 3 in one (case, screen protector, camera lenses protector) all for $13 off Amazon. Gonna take care of this baby because planning on keeping it for a good while.
I am carrying iPhone 14 Pro and 7 Plus nowadays. Funnily enough they both like a great combo. The older iPhone sidekick is great. I have iPhone X, but because the storage is low at 64 GB, it's now a bit slow to use, the Face ID was broken because I brought it into the pool one day. But iPhone 7 Plus, with larger screen, Touch ID, still works amazing as gaming device. Eventhough the iOS is behind now.
I like this type of thinking and living, in regards to electronics and usage. Especially when it comes to iPhone, and smartphones in general. I’ll be holding onto my iPhone 13 Pro for another year. I’m really proud of myself. And these type of videos only solidify my decision. I’ve been a yearly upgrader, since the iPhone 5. So far so good.
@@alexha2884 I bought a 12 mini unlocked new when it first came out. I would just get a battery replacement and keep it pushing as the phone is still fast and functional, but the face ID is broken, and the lightning port has been broken since 2020, leaving me with no option besides magsafe to charge my phone. That means if I'm in a public place or at another house, 9.9 times out of 10, I can't charge my phone there, I can't use the "aux" in friend's cars. And the cost of fixing my charger port, battery, AND face id would cost almost if not just as much as just buying a new 14. I intend to keep the 14 for 4-5 years or more.
Im using i phone 11 myself.. I really appreciate the thought of being content with what you have and not just upgrading it because u are bored of it.. be happy with less n appreciate n make maximum use of what you have first..
I agree with your statements that sometimes you might want to upgrade to a new phone but don’t necessarily need to. I lived well with my iPhone 11 from 2019 to 2023. Had some thoughts about upgrading in 2021 but the performance and everything was still there. Just forced myself to try and forget about upgrading and it worked. In the end i did upgrade to a 14 Pro Max in 2023 because i need all day battery life and while the 11 is incredible for most people in day to day use, i do actually have more than 8 hours a day of screen on time. Use it at work, at home, outside. Pick your products based on what you need, not what you want. Kinda like: i want an RTX 4090 because i can afford it and it’l play everything at max settings. tho i have a 1080p144 monitor lol. Choose wisely 😇
I could not agree with you more. So far rotating from the iPhone 11 to 12 ProMax to 13 to 13 ProMax and there isn’t really that big of a difference. Use what you have until it breaks. The older phones don’t really have that big of a difference unless you count magsafe as a selling point and for me it has been a godsend with the magsafe battery pack. Other than that everything else is somewhat the same.
Your videos on older tech makes me appreciate more than just my iPhone for example I don’t plan on upgrading my headphones until they’re dead and will just either by smaller tips as Apple releases them or continue to get use to having to keep my AirPods from falling out my ears. TBH the tech we use in our everyday lives are pretty well advanced and are made to last years but for some reason when it comes to phones we’ve been engrained to upgrade every year but with laptops it doesn’t get upgraded until it’s falling apart tbh. What makes the difference when we use our laptops for more things than our phone? Is it the fact we use our phones for socializing and our laptops for work?
I am rocking iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch SE 2nd gen and M2 MacBook Air 13 inch. All since the end of June caused I switched from Android and I plan to keep this devices as long as possible.
I’ve been rocking a 12 Pro Max for what may be my first three-year cadence. While my wife has a 13 Pro Max and I really appreciate its 120Hz screen, mine still gets me through the day, which is all I really need it for for now. I won’t deny that the 15 intrigues me and I will probably see about trading this one in for whatever the big model is (form and capacity), but the possibility of me going for four years isn’t out of the question.
Still using one for work, as well, taking photos, recording audio. What a blast of a phone. Worst case I'll replace the battery when the time may come, but it still lasts me a day and then some. Will upgrade once software updates are out and even then I might wait an extra year. I just like this phone so much, is dependable
This is 100% amazing advice!! I am still enjoying my iPhone 12 Pro Max from when it came out. It works really well and i have had zero issues with it. Got zero reasons to change phone. Will use it until it becomes unusable. Keep up the great content!
iPhone 11 Pro design is an example of how the phone is supposed to be, perfect size for the hands and Smooth curved edges like everything else in nature.
The beauty of the iPhones, and apple devices as a whole, is using them long term. I used my iPhone 7 for 3 years, same with my 11 pro max, but if it wasn’t for the generosity of my parents I would have used them from day 1 to their last major software update.
I have a 14 Pro Max that I recently upgraded from an 11 Pro Max. The 11PM was the first iPhone that I kept for over three years, and ithe 14PM is a really good upgrade if you're coming from an iPhone 11 or earlier. The 120hz ProMotion is really smooth, and the battery life is amazing. I'm definitely keeping my 14PM for the next three years at least.
Had mine for almost four years now. Probably gonna just replace the battery if the periscope zoom is only on the Pro Max 15 this year. I pick my phone size based on the largest size i can still text one handed on. 75mm width is about my limit. I've been very happy with it. Battery life is surprisingly good even after almost four years.
I’ve been rocking the iPhone 11 since its release in 2018. No interest in upgrading. I used to upgrade every 2 years, but are the changes really that dramatic? I’ll likely keep this one another year when it requires more charging or the updates don’t come to it anymore. But no rush anymore.
One thing that I do to keep me satisfied with my current iPhone, which is a 13 mini, is to get out my older iPhones, try to use it for a bit, and remind myself how good the iPhone has become.
My mom has my 11 and my dad my XR ( yes I had two 6.1 inch phones. I liked the xr and I got the 11) I have a 12 mini because I missed the 4s size and the one handed accessibility of it. I love it and wouldn’t change it for anything else, maybe except for a foldable.
I love my 12 mini but the battery has gone to shit. And with my face ID and lightning ports both broken, a battery replacement isn't worth the hassle. I'm buying the black 14 next week, just dissapointed that I cant gift this phone to my mom because she wouldn't want to go back to no biometric and use magsafe.
Still on the 11 Pro here. I'm casually interested in the 15 only for something 'new' to mess with, learn etc… but there's nothing objectively wrong with what I already have, so it's pretty difficult to reconcile another not-inexpensive purchase. Translation: I'm not getting one unless it has a feature I deem as being 'killer'. :)
I’m still rocking my 12 and plan on doing so for as long as I can. I got a few really nice cases for it and I don’t want to have to buy new ones for a newer model.
I still like the iPhone 11. One of my favorites ever. Especially - yes - because of the LCD. Because the LCD always drains the same power and not based on the content, the battery life was always perfectly identical and not hit or miss like with OLEDs all the time. And I have to hardly disagree about it having bad battery life. To this day it had the by far best battery life of all my iPhones - including the 11 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max. They're actually not even close. I also miss the aluminium. I really never liked the stainless steel, no matter if it's rounded like on the iPhone X or flat on my 14 Pro Max. It's slippery, it doesn't look good the literal second you touched it and it makes the phone unnecessarily heavy. But when I see that notch cutout for that screen protector... why on earth do people do that? It's completely unnecessary...
Exactly! Changing your phone wall paper and new phone case will make your phone feel new. Our phones are still as amazing as the day we got them. I currently have an S23 Ultra and it's all I need. It's fast, smooth and excellent screen quality. Beings samsung said they are supporting my phone for 4 years so that means it'll be good for that long which is great. When we buy these new phones we realise that we prefer our old ones, for example the iPhone 11 has better round corners. My old S10 Plus screen looked straight out of the future The annoying thing is these phone companies make our phones get boring by giving them a boring design from the start
Pretty much agree with you here, if your current phone does everything you need it to do, you don’t need to upgrade. That said, I think there’s a balance where it’s okay to buy something that would be nice even if you don’t truly need it to function. Personally, I’d say that balance is a new phone about every five years. Well, my iPhone XR is adequate in pretty much every capacity, but its power button is getting a little funky, the camera will often take a blurry mess when I’m trying to get my cats in action, and it won’t get the software update for 2024. Little things have stacked up over time and gotten annoying, the final straws were - realizing that my XR is the only device that’s still forcing me to take a lightning cable everywhere - getting a new iPad for the first time since the Mini 2, and being reminded just how much more comfortable it is for me to hold and use a larger screen And now I’m eying the Galaxy Fold 5, probably gonna buy it when Black Friday sales come around. Got almost the form factor of the iPad Mini (favorite device ever if not for its inability to make phone calls or fit in a pocket properly) without the things that kept me from just using an iPad Mini as a phone. I think I’d be justified in my purchase, it’ll genuinely make my phone easier and more effective to use the way I like. And then I’ll ride that for five years until the security updates stop, with a wired low-watt charger to keep a single battery going its whole lifetime so I’m doing my part to reduce lithium battery waste. So I’ll have a 7.6” phablet and an 11” tablet with a keyboard and a desktop PC, and those three devices will do 100% of the productivity things I ever need to do.
Don't get a 7.6" phablet alongside a 11" e-waste tablet. IMO there's no reason to buy both a Tab S9 and a ZFold 5. If the crease is so ass, funny you still wanna go Samsung. Not saying the ui is unimportant but I'd rather buy a Vivo foldable, a Macbook and add a Wi-Fi card to your pc. Quantum Kit is so good to use for both Mac and W11.
Yeahh I feel I’ll have to upgrade. I have the SE2 and though I also Simply waant to upgrade, if the SE4 is truly a PWM display, then I’ll have to get the se3 to try and get the newest phone I can to lasts me until a non PWM option is around.
My grandmother bought this phone a two week ago then passed away. And left the phone to me. So i have no idea what to do with it as i have a 13 pro…. Maybe put my 2nd sim card in and use two phones?
@@anetizen6404thank you for the wishes and advice. But its kinda impossible to transfer the data from my 13 pro because i have the 256gb variant with 180gb on it used and and i rely on the 3x alot and the 0.5. Compared to 11 but 11 wins in the battery department (maybe its in 100% battery health) but 128gb is not gonna suffice but a solid gps/hotspot device.
A friend of mine had an iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB. He wanted more storage space because he needs and likes to have all of his memories, work etc instantly accessible on his iPhone, and he wanted a better battery life because as he is working outside as a photographer, the battery life of the 12 Pro Max didn't last him all day. He found a deal of a used 13 Pro Max 1TB, perfect condition, with box and accessories AND a case at 900€, and he sold his 12 Pro Max at 700€. He also replaced the battery of the used 13 Pro Max to have the maximum capacity for another 100€, so with 300€ extra he upgraded from a 12 Pro Max 256GB to a 13 Pro Max 1TB. He appreciate the better battery life, the 120Hz display, the extra storage he wanted, the better cameras, the brighter display and the fact that the 13 Pro Max can keep up more with high temperatures outside compared to the 12 Pro Max. I think he made a great move!
I have the 13 pro. It’s the perfect size. I have no desire for an e-sim and will hold out as long as possible. The 15 doesn’t impress me and neither does the dynamic island. I’m enjoying your less is more content and trying to embrace it.
Still using my IPhone 11 Pro Max and still in love with it! Haven’t purchased a newer one since I got this one.. and no reason to upgrade it cause it’s got everything to need and love!… and don’t owe anything on it!!.. woohoo
I have the exact same phone as you and it performs well like I expect it to. A good phone but the lack of 5G is a bit of a bummer. I do like it though because 4g will be supported for a while so that isn’t an issue. I’ll be keeping this for a while.
What a great suggestion about going back to watch the apple event. I just did that and wow what a great way to be reinvigorated by your old tech thanks!
was using XS till recently last month I upgraded to the 12 mini not because I wanted the upgrade more cause I had to my touchscreen stopped working after a third party replacement shop screwed up with replacing the screen
Despite the fact the iPhone 11 is perfectly fine and could absolutely serve my needs… I want to wait for the iPhone 12 Pro Max to get price dropped at my carrier when the iPhone 15 series launches so I can leave my current Samsung A32. I want to video stuff, and also I wanna treat myself to a stupid expensive phone okay I haven’t had a phone that I paid more than 200 bucks for ever.
I am sporting an iPhone Xs Max with 512 GB storage. Bought a new about four years ago has been working flawlessly for me and I haven’t used nearly even a half of the memory capacity. Yeah my battery is starting to get a little feeble but I disable a lot of functions that I don’t use and it’s not the worst thing in the world. Great call quality, great optics on camera, plenty of good functions it serves me well why spend all the money for an upgrade until I can’t get software updates anymore or my battery konks out or some other malfunction with the phone.
It was so refreshing hearing you say it’s not necessary to always buying the latest and greatest. I recently traded my iPhone 14 126 gigs for his iPhone 11 64 gigs. I prefer the storm factor of the 11 as well. My phone is a tool not my everything. So my battery last a day and half. My storage is just slightly under half full. I plan to use it till it dies.
All my phones have been from the secondhand market. I have been rocking the iPhone XS since 2021 but I recently gave it to my sister for her birthday. Now I’m rocking iPhone 12 I’m very happy with upgrade. But in saying that there’s nothing wrong with iPhone XS and I did like the smaller form factor of the iPhone XS. By the way another awesome vid 👍
I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, I got it refurbished from apple a year ago, got a replacement under warrantee from apple because of unexpected shutdowns. It’s still a great phone, but am debating on getting a 13 Pro Max because I really like promotion, macro mode, and that new ios 17 feature with your own AI voice.
A screen protector on that iPhone 11? I’m shocked! Maybe I should put one on my XS Max to prevent scratches 🤔 my oleophobic coating is completely gone too
I upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro Max in April, and I would rather have the smaller phone at 6.1” BUT I need the extra battery. So, the bigger phone is better for me.
I agree with you! For most casual people, an older iPhone is just fine, considering they even don't know all of the features of their new iPhones most of the times... I have an iPhone 13 Pro 256GB right now and even as a tech guy, I'm not planning to switch to the 14 series or the 15 series as well. 13 Pro covers all my needs: it is the perfect size for me, it has an amazing OLED display, it has 120Hz, it has great cameras, great battery life etc. I don't want something inferior either tho. I mean, I could't live with 60Hz. I know it sounds hyperbolic, but I love and appreciate every single day how that ProMotion display feels! And it was something I was waiting for a long time! I also love OLED and I can't live with LCD... I'm a photographer and I give a lot of attention to picture quality, I have used an iPhone 8 (which has the same ppi, brightens and quality as an iPhone 11) and man... I don't like it... It looks washed out to me and pixelated... And with the iPhone 12 Mini out there as an option, I think everyone should buy that instead of an iPhone 11. It has a lot of better features too as you know, and the price difference isn't that big to make it not worth it, even for a causal user. But again, I totally agree that we don't need to rush and buy every new product that comes out if we really don't need it or want it for a specific feature/reason. Many people as you said buy a new phone just because it came out or because they're bored, and that's not a right move. Apples is great in supporting older devices for a long time with new features and security patches, so if you really don't want a specific feature of a new iPhone so bad, or your current one isn't very old (like older than an iPhone Xs) you don't need to upgrade just for the upgrade. For me, e feature I need (because I work outside as a photographer) is an iPhone that can keep up with high temperatures out in the sun. I use GPS with cellular a lot, and I want maximum brightness when I'm out in the sun, and even the 14 Pro can't sustain full brightness at such conditions. If a new iPhone comes out with a big improvement on this, I will consider upgrading!
XS here too. Year after year I try (and fail) to convince myself I need a newer iPhone: fact is I don't. Don't feel like missing out on any new features.
I'm a highschool student and not paying for cell phone service since I don't really need it yet, but I do most of the other phone things like taking pictures, apps, and imessage on an iPhone 5s! Battery life is awful but the camera is still great.
The resolution of that display is horrible and it makes my eyes die. I owned a XR for almost 2 years, but after using the 12 and 13 Pro Max, going down to a 720p display on a 6.1” phone is bad.
Im absolutely a tech geek but im still using a iPhone X i bought within a week of its release. Im planning to upgrade to the iPhone 15 pro max this year tho. Its insane to me that people upgrade their phone every year.. Hardcore consumerism is really one of the worst developments over the last decades.
The 11 and SE are the only real choices for us 10% who can’t use OLED due to PWM. I’m still on my 8 Plus since launch, but still unsure 11 or SE next year!
Why are lcd _phones_ still so popular huh? Can you really tell how 240Hz PWM dimming "hurts" your eyes? I have 2 of these phones and I still use them in the dark. Seems fine to me. DON'T do this BTW... If the environment is bright enough 99.99% of the time you won't notice low-frequency PWM as an issue.
From a software perspective it doesn’t really make sense for us to buy new every year. Especially knowing that Apple introduces things and then walks away from it.
I love tech, especially Macs, iPads and iPhones. That being said i very rarely ever buy the latest when it is current. I’ve had several iPhones over the years, but I’d say my 4S, 5 and 8 were actually still current at the time of purchase. My X was a year and a half after it was released and I am now using a 12 and won’t be upgrading until after the 15 comes out. No desire or need for the latest and greatest anymore. I can wait until a deal comes my way or my phone actually needs replacing.
I use an iPhone 11 Pro since Dec 3rd 2019. I see alot of people with 12 / 12 Pro, 13 / 13 Pro and very few 14 Pro's in the wild where I live. I agree with the points you've made. I tyically don't upgrade just because "it's latest and greatest". For me if it functions and continues to work as intended I keep it unless there are features on the newer/latest model which I must have. It's funny how society expects people to have the latest and greatest and anything older is "obselete" (which is further from the truth). More people should buy a phone which meets their needs rather than be a sheep and buy it because so and so said it's "cool" and "it's must have".
I had a iPhone 11 back in 2020 I used it for about a month I can’t remember much but it was decent at the time I know a couple people that has one and no major issues just the battery life is not what it used to be which is expected

I have an iPhone 13 mini. I really like the size, but the battery life isn’t that great and I’m doing light weight use. I got the MagSafe power bank and now it’s much better, but because I have the MagSafe duo I can’t charge it on it and it’s really annoying and I have to charge two different things now. Sometimes I’m regretting that I didn’t got the 13 instead. 😅
Mine isn’t quite as old but I’m still using the 13 Pro and will for the foreseeable future. Once my battery health drops below 80% I’ll replace the battery and use the phone for another 2 years 😅
Definitely agree with dear Friend! In the world of contemporary technologies 5 years old phone has no significant and radical improvements for which I will be bale to pay 1000$. I switched from my old buddy XR (bcz bateery and dynamic almost die) to iPhone 13 and I see no significant differences. At the age of consumption our decisions must be more wise and reasonable.
I'm using iphone 11 since it launched I. 2019 and I will change it after the last update that it will receive. I love it!
iPhone SE 2020. Planning on upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max this September.
Starting 10:15 to 11:00 I am glad you pointed this out. Took me some years to finally realize this.
What iPhone 14 Pro offer? Dynamic Island, obstruct more of your screen
No I just don’t agree I feel like that’s a waste of money
I’ve had a 7 plus for 5 years now. What’s the point in upgrading so often lol
As an iPhone 11 user who’s starting to get bored, this video made me reconsider. Thanks,
Your videos on older tech makes me appreciate more than just my iPhone for example I don’t plan on upgrading my headphones until they’re dead and will just either by smaller tips as Apple releases them or continue to get use to having to keep my AirPods from falling out my ears.
It’s weird how GOOD the iPhone 11 is 60 Hz LCD display all the things against it yet it’s such a solid damn good phone.
My sister has been using her XR for 4 years and 2 months and she doesn’t want to upgrade. My brother has been using the 11 since October of 2019.
Thanks for being brave and speaking out your thoughts on using an older-generation iPhone. I’m still using an 11 pro. It’s been five years now.
I have the red standard 14. Works great. Plan on keeping it for a long time if possible.
iPhone 11 still runs great I upgraded from a 6s that was still working and getting updates in 2023 !!!!!!!!!
What phone is it?
@@dylanmooney327the iPhone 11
I’ve been rocking the iPhone 11 since its release in 2018. No interest in upgrading. I used to upgrade every 2 years, but are the changes really that dramatic? I’ll likely keep this one another year when it requires more charging or the updates don’t come to it anymore. But no rush anymore.
it released in 2019
One thing that I do to keep me satisfied with my current iPhone, which is a 13 mini, is to get out my older iPhones, try to use it for a bit, and remind myself how good the iPhone has become.
That’s a good idea lol, I gotta try it. It would also be a fun nostalgic trip for me.
Love your takes.
We should all step back for a bit and appreciate the tech we have even if it isn't cutting edge latest speced.
I’m still rocking my 12 and plan on doing so for as long as I can. I got a few really nice cases for it and I don’t want to have to buy new ones for a newer model.
Had my 13 up for repair and as a backup I used my old 7…
I freaking loved it! Size, weight, easy pocketing and what not ❤
This is the phone I’m using. Been using for 3 years. Still working great for me.
how's the battery health?
11:01 so true! 😂 new case and wallpaper goes along way!
I agree less is more and the iPhone 11 is my favorite iPhone miss that design ! Great video Drew !
Such refreshing content. Ya love to see it
I still like the iPhone 11.
My old S10 Plus screen looked straight out of the future
The annoying thing is these phone companies make our phones get boring by giving them a boring design from the start
Still rocking my iPhone 11 Pro, the perfectly sized device.
Only issue with older phones and iPhones, they starts to get laggy.
My Mini 12 is starting to annoy me with all bugs, restarts and freezes.
Seems like my iPhone SE 1st gen works better
Pretty much agree with you here, if your current phone does everything you need it to do, you don’t need to upgrade.
That said, I think there’s a balance where it’s okay to buy something that would be nice even if you don’t truly need it to function. Personally, I’d say that balance is a new phone about every five years.
Well, my iPhone XR is adequate in pretty much every capacity, but its power button is getting a little funky, the camera will often take a blurry mess when I’m trying to get my cats in action, and it won’t get the software update for 2024. Little things have stacked up over time and gotten annoying, the final straws were
- realizing that my XR is the only device that’s still forcing me to take a lightning cable everywhere
- getting a new iPad for the first time since the Mini 2, and being reminded just how much more comfortable it is for me to hold and use a larger screen
And now I’m eying the Galaxy Fold 5, probably gonna buy it when Black Friday sales come around.
Ye i think 4 years would be enough its enough long and not so short as 1-2 years
Don't get a 7.6" phablet alongside a 11" e-waste tablet.
Buy a logi mouse too. Logi Flow is just like Airdrop for Windows.
@@anetizen6404 I’m not getting a Galaxy Tab. I already have an iPad. That’s the 11” tablet I was talking about.
I’m still on the 11 Pro. I may insane enough to wait until the iPhone 16.
Just keep it for now you'll figure out how you want to use it. I'm very sorry for ur loss Grandma are such an important friend in our lives 🙏
@@katinasoutherland7693 I agree 🫶🏻, and thank you
Sell your 13 pro and make good use of what your loved ones left for _you_ I guess? Sorry for your loss 😔
I have an iPhone 11, and I think it’s time to get a new one in September. It’s getting slower and the battery is very degraded.
Watching this on iPhone 13 mini 😊
Still rocking my XS Max! Love this thing!
Nice thumbnail, thought it was odd at first but I actually like the bright colors of the kids map in contrast with the phone 😂
This has to be one of the best looking thumbnail and b-roll you've ever done! Great video, Drew!
Glad you think so!
Me watching this with my iPhone 11 that I’ve been using since a couple years after it’s initial release
was using XS till recently last month I upgraded to the 12 mini not because I wanted the upgrade more cause I had to my touchscreen stopped working after a third party replacement shop screwed up with replacing the screen
The mini is just the perfect phone size
I hope it will be the next iPhone se
agreed
It won’t.
Great call quality, great optics on camera, plenty of good functions it serves me well why spend all the money for an upgrade until I can’t get software updates anymore or my battery konks out or some other malfunction with the phone.
battery replacement would be like $70 from apple
It was so refreshing hearing you say it’s not necessary to always buying the latest and greatest. I recently traded my iPhone 14 126 gigs for his iPhone 11 64 gigs. I prefer the storm factor of the 11 as well. My phone is a tool not my everything. So my battery last a day and half. My storage is just slightly under half full. I plan to use it till it dies.
been rocking my 13 mini for over a year now and i am so not sick of it, using it until it gives out!!!
Good on ya! I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max - still doing great!
Talk about switching phones like crazy going back and forth from new to old. This has been so me just trying to find the right one for me lol
Still rocking the XR until the 15 Pro comes out, and then when the 20 Pro comes out it’ll be my next upgrade 😂
10:33 I've iPhone 14 Plus and planning to stick with it till 2027 at least ❤ and 100% agreed
Annual upgrades are not necessary anymore, the small incremental changes are just not enough to justify it
A screen protector on that iPhone 11?
Loving your new mindset on tech. I´ve had a huge addiction to buying the newest iphone every year. Now i´m trying to be content with what i have
Good for you!
I rock an 11 as my work phone. Does everything I need
XS here too. Year after year I try (and fail) to convince myself I need a newer iPhone: fact is I don't. Don't feel like missing out on any new features.
I had the 11 and it’s a great phone but upgraded to 13 for now
I'm a highschool student and not paying for cell phone service since I don't really need it yet, but I do most of the other phone things like taking pictures, apps, and imessage on an iPhone 5s! Battery life is awful but the camera is still great.
The resolution of that display is horrible and it makes my eyes die. I owned a XR for almost 2 years, but after using the 12 and 13 Pro Max, going down to a 720p display on a 6.1” phone is bad.
It’s 828p
This is why I have kept the 11 Pro Max for so long. I even pay for the monthly Care+ so that it can get repaired like I just did recently.
Watch on my iPhone 11 ❤ This is the perfect size I satisfied.
I own both 11 and SE!
@@GH0STST4RSCR34M then how come no one complains about this on an LCD iPhone?
@GH0STST4RSCR34M yes, there can be PWM on LCD panels but apple doesn't use PWM to control brightness on their LCD panels.
Also the XR, but that’s getting old and iOS 17 might be the last major update for it
Why are lcd _phones_ still so popular huh? Can you really tell how 240Hz PWM dimming "hurts" your eyes? I have 2 of these phones and I still use them in the dark. Seems fine to me. DON'T do this BTW... If the environment is bright enough 99.99% of the time you won't notice low-frequency PWM as an issue.
From a software perspective it doesn’t really make sense for us to buy new every year. Especially knowing that Apple introduces things and then walks away from it.
i can’t believe they not bringing out a mini on the 15 line up
I recently got a new case for my iPhone 11 and got the battery replaced and I kind of feel like I have a brand new phone.
Great watch the older I get the more I’m like there’s nothing wrong with my older device I just need someway to freshen it up.
I have iPhone 11 in black 64gb. I’m loving mine it’s still in mint condition.
Lighting over pixels! If Nic could see you now, he would have a tear in his eye out of happiness. I’m proud we’re getting by with less and loving the journey the whole way!
My son would love your train table since it has some Thomas the train stuff on it. My son is 12 and has autism and he still loves Thoma the train. That iPhone 11 still looks good. I have the iPhone 14 but there is a lot of features I don't use and I am just a stay at home house wife. Do you think something like the Google Pixel will be a good fit for me?
I’m rocking a Graphite iPhone 12 Pro with 128 GB of storage. It has some mic and Bluetooth issues so I might get the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It's a proper trend
