Same. Apple and Sammy each have their strengths. My current primary is the 15 Pro Max and my secondary is the S22 Ultra with 10X optical zoom.
Year later - are you still using 12? I want iOS as secondary phone and I found one with 99% battery capacity which is crazy in 2024✓ phone still short time under warranty, must be handled very well or low used, but I'm interested your op✓ I like iOS by visual smoothness.. os it like that or more? 🙂
Basically yeah... they stopped innovating beyond iPhone 11, so just get a 12 and don't waste your money on 13 or 14 which are basically the same.
I think the 12 is the pinnacle base model for value, performance, and features of 2024. First iPhone to have 5g, first to have oled as a base model(the 10 was the pro of the 8 & 8plus) or Atleast XDR oled. The first to bring MAGSAFE to iPhone. The cameras on the 12 are superior to the 11 pro(12 has larger censor & apertures). Most carriers are selling the 12 for $200-300 dollars if not free for the major carriers. which is usually half the cost of the iPhone 13 and $400-500 less than 14& 15. The iPhone 11 is a terrible upgrade for 2024. iPhone 11 and even Xs however is a great phone to this day if you’re waiting to upgrade.

I managed to get a hold on a iPhone 13 yesterday with 90% battery health with some negotiation to 513$. It’s got a minor scratch or two but not bothering at all.
Could have gotten a 12 for 400$ :(

I tried the 13 mini first, it was the best I've had in long while. But that battery life. So I exchanged it to a regular 13. I couldn't use it for my day to day, because I use my phone a lot for work, navigation and whatnot. So I switched.
I liked the 13 mini better too 😢 but the battery life isn't what I need.

been gaming in my iPhone 12 for 2 years and still at 91% battery health. I would say it’s worth, camera is also good so I could say it’s a win win to buy iPhone 12 coz it’s battery health is durable.

Of course u could tell the difference but it isn´t huge. Recently upgraded to an iphone 12 from an iphone xs and low-light picture is quite literally day-and-night

trust me, do not upgrade to iPhone 13 if you have a 12, I did and I regretted it, it is basically the same phone with a smaller notch and a little bit better battery life, but not worth the price difference.

The iPhone 12 is truly phenomenal; I do not intend to upgrade to the iPhone 13 until the mobile device is rendered obsolete in 2027.
I have seen that difference in battery-lasting is around 20 minutes.

I had a 12 and upgraded to a 13 and literally the only noticeable difference is the battery
The screen the same the only difference is brightness and it’s a little different if you don’t have the two together you won’t notice any difference at all

I had the iPhone 12 mini since it came out and last week I dropped it for 5 seconds in a pool and it worked good for like 5 minutes then it shut off and screen was messed up.Guess after so long I had it lost it's water resistance Biggest difference I've noticed is battery life! used to charge 3x a day now only once! Then again my 12 was at 77% battery life BUT even when it was new it doesn't compare to the battery life of the 13. Also, the speakers on the 13 sound a lot louder and more 3D or spacial if that makes sense? other than that they're both almost the same thing and are both great.

Alright heres a question, which one should i buy the 12, 13 or go for s23, i have moderate daily usage need something reliable that takes good photos currently i am using vivo y21 before that it was note 10... So not facing much problems with 60hz i have also used s21 fe and it also felt a bit laggy in some use cases even with 120 hz so i have my doubts with samsung. I’ve bought a few refurbished to new iPhones on backmarket and they all crapped themselves after a year or so, they say they test all their devices thoroughly but how can you really know?! haven’t had a problem with their iPads though.
The reason I would buy new off Apple is that it’s guaranteed not to have been dropped in water or something. Otherwise always buying new goes against my principals sustainability wise and price.. I’ve been on android for a year now and the only real upside for me is the battery life and connectivity with micro ssd cards etc but now it’s lagging on me. Im now going back to iPhone because their batteries are getting better. Apple at least offer more updates, my moms still using her 6.😂

I just upgraded my iPhone to a 12 from the SE 2020. But before I got the 12 I bought a Moto G Stylus 2022 for work a month ago. 1st Android phone since like 2017.
Not a notch fan but got a super deal on it so I said why not.
I'm definitely selling it.
Then for some reason my 12 screen looks warm when looking directly at it. Then goes cool when looking at the screen from a angle. So if I'm holding the phone regularly watching something or browsing. Its constantly changing hues.
Is that an iPhone 12 thing?
It could be bceause of the screen protector that you have maybe i guess if you can take it carefully and see. Also turn off auto brightness maybe that's why

I also have an iPad Air 5th Gen with the same what I'm calling an issue. Then there's my SE2020 with the same thing.
I shot a video yesterday asking is that an Apple product thing. No Apple product that I've had has the same screen hue. I've always noticed a difference in default screen hues out of box. I've dealt with but this time it annoyed me because I switched back to Android for work. I've been using a Stylus 2022 and the whites are white on it. No night shift tint when not screen settings are on.

Overall android are good too it's a Shame that social media apps are not optimized for all Android phones for example if you post a video using a tiktok camera the quality looks very bad compared to iphone but Overall i love android good choice!

I've noticed the tint on all of my Apple devices.
iPhone SE2020 iPhone 12 iPad Air 2022. They all have a different level of tent. The Air has it the worst.
I've always noticed it going back to my 6s but just dealt with it. It didn't bother me until I got a Moto G Stylus 2022 like a 2 months ago. Where the screen is what I would call perfect. Where the whites are white. As in looking at jersey numbers, pianos keys and fake teeth white.
