Other areas to watch: You’re allowed at the start line, mile 3 by the bus depot at Epcot, TT&TC, outside Grand Floridian/Polynesian, entrance at Hollywood Studios, and boardwalk.

Congratulations Koda!!! Dopey is a BEAST and this year’s weather was BRUTAL. Welcome to the marathoners club!! AND the Dopey club! I loved hearing the live clips of you going through the course! That “Let’s Go” as you’re heading past Figment is SO familiar. It gets you through those pushes! And nutrition is SO important for those long distances.
And after running World Showcase for 4 mornings in a row, YES JUST GET OUT OF WORLD SHOWCASE!
And thank you Adrian for showcasing the support and spectating side of things! You showed how tough the families and support squads work to make sure the runners can achieve their goals!

Yeah that rain was NOT fun. I was just leaving MK behind splash mountain when it hit me and stayed with me till past mile 11 I believe. It felt cold and windy. I wanna say Mile 9 just before coming thru the castle it started sprinkling.
After watching this I could tell Koda was a half hour to an hour behind me. Still a fun experience to do the Disney marathon

Congratulations, Koda. The rain really messed with my sock/shoes during the race. Seemed like you pushed through well. And kudos Adrian on the cheering, navigating property during the marathon is not for the faint of heart.

Congratulations to Koda! Great job. I agree 100% on her advice for finishing a marathon. Train! How she did the Dopey without proper training is beyond me. I guess she did it with sheer determination and youth! I also would like to give you some encouragement and advice. I watched your 10k video. I was out there in your corral and fortunately stayed well ahead of the balloon ladies! I was able to get myself up towards the front of the corral which made all the difference. This was my first race I have completed over the 16 minute pace. I have done 2 Goofy’s and 13 half’s. When I did my first Goofy I was over 350 lbs. I finished only because I trained! I trained to a 15 minute pace. I did my second the next year down to about 315 lbs. Then a bunch of years doing the half but not doing great with my weight. Feb 10th of 2022 I had quadruple bypass surgery! I was 360 lbs at that time! Shame on me. So needless to say finishing this year ahead of the balloon ladies was a very big deal for me! I am now closing in on 260 lbs. I am registered for the 2025 10k. My goal is to finish at a sub 15 minute pace and under 230 lbs. I strongly encourage you to sign up for another 10k and train for it. If you train you will finish! I have never run a step. Every mile as a fat man walking. Please don’t wait for bypass surgery to motivate you! Not the program I recommend but it is working for me!
