I think quill was good but for me performance don't mean shouting waving your hands about to try get the crowd on point, it means lack of confidence , if quill slows it down stands still connects with the crowd by performing his writtens better expressing there meaning I personally would of prefer it better, it's like he was nervous battling gemini, if it was boxing he was waisting his energy gas tank empty, where gemini to me was landing stood there calm and confident..
Honestly Gem's first round would have won round 1 in 90% of battles but Quill was brilliant in round one. I think 2-1 Gem was right as Quill just took the first but by the end of round 2 you just knew where it was going 🔥 Gem is the best battle I've ever seen, so glad he's champ.

Faaackin hell gemini is truly a different beast, incredible writer, that mid round freestyle was enough to win this alone, quill is good but he needs to calm it down a bit, overperfoming can have a negative effect on delivery, gets a bit cringey at times as well, find that balance, anyway good battle nonetheless

That glass shatter freestyle was one of the best moments in BR I think I've ever seen. For 99% of other battlers, that could have been critical and distracted them/made them stumble/possibly choke. But Gems quickness with that line was mindblowing. That is how a champion deals with those moments. Big up to Quill as well, he brought heat as per usual. But Gem had this battle on lock. Killer battle.

really good battle, I think the stumble near the end hurt Quill a lot tho. Had him taking the 1st clear, thought the 2nd was debatable, and the 3rd had to go to Gem. Because Gem was cleaner, I give the 2nd to him at least on first watch. Looking forward to more big battles from DF though!

Both these lads were epic... what I love is that now the title is legitimate. Think about it Gem and Shox battle on Code Red was meant for DF. Gem took that so devastatingly. Quill steps in and is a more than worthy DF champ. These 2 had to happen to really solidify in my mind. Congrats the new champ but its one of these battles where the fans win hands down !
