they went in on the bars in this battle, but the rapping ability of both Gem and Quill in this battle was just fucking nuts, love that shit, probably the best rapped title match I seen, flows are crazy
Please watch Unanymous vs Dialect. Both were on fire and Unan had one of his best performances ever. It was the first UK battle i ever saw, its what got me into Dont Flop. Trust me, you wont regret it.

Gem's been my favorite battler to find out about in 2023, dude's an incredible writer and rapper. I'd love to see him against Pass at some point, think that'd be a crazy battle

Thought it was a close 2-1 on first watch. Watching back as you guys did just made me realise how wide the gap was in the 2nd and 3rd. Quills stuff was great, but Gem left earth

now that's a title match! its been a while since there's been one, now, with all these leagues 'n single events (cards)... its one reason why i love kotd: people compete for the title, to be the king. Nowadays, theres just so many rappers just being themselves, or simply to entertain, that the competitive part is missing.
Illmac is incredible at breaking down battles. The point about Quill after rd1 described exactly how I felt, you know his round was fire but you feel almost exhausted for him. Great battle though. Both emcees showed out.
I dont blame people for thinking Gems glass smash freestyle was set up, i mean it was excuted so well and done so quick it was insane. But as Illmac stated he broke out of his ryhme scheme to do that freestyle and then went back to it after he did it. No way was quill going to be able to top Gems 2nd round at all

I kind of feel like Quill lost before the battle even started.
Not only because he's excessively hyped and can't pace himself, but more so because he is hyped to the point that he is uplifting Gemini to a point that it's hard to argue that Quill won.
How can people say you won when you yourself seemingly like your opponents bars as much or more than your own?
I think more than anything Quill just wanted this to be a great title match. They hyped it up all year and if it was shit it would have been bad for don't flop when it's trying to make a comeback

Quill beat craft-D for the title. Craft-D battled Shuffle T for the title beforehand. Before that Craft-D battled Unanymous for the vacant title

I love Gemin1 and he went hard as fuck here as usual but it's pretty ironic how hard he went in on Shox biting bars for every round against him, only to (presumably inadvertently) pretty much reuse one of Shox's schemes lol

Had it 2-1 Gem. Watching it back now feel Quill had most the haymakers. Guess I got to go Gem but can’t help but think Quill beat himself, without the slip it was so fucking close.
