The Modern Rogue is my life now. I live for Fridays when new episodes get released. Fucking love you guys

The Modern Rogue I'm rogue in the modern ages.
Same
vinyl hedgehog you're my dogs favorite toy.
Could you imagine the scavanger hunts you could create like this...
geocache look into it. your town has tons of things hidden around you never knew
Kaysler im aware of the sport... i was just saying for like some kind of private event or something
Kaysler Geocaching! Haven't heard that name in a long time.
That would be a cool activity.
for a few months when i was younger my mom was ibsessed with online scavenger hunting, every other weekend or so we would go on a trip to a few parks, following clues posted on facebook pages and stuff, and the 'prize' was a unique stamp that you put in a notebook and try to collect a bunch, was fun at first, got tired of hiking in 90 degree weather looking for... stamps, just fuckin stamps, cool idea but not a great hobby for a floridian, sometimes you'd leave your own and that was fun, a few times we'd find some that hadnt been found for a really long time, so it had cobwebs and dust on it, which was a cool level of immersion, one time the stamp had been degraded a bit and a spider had left eggs in the hole in the back of the stamp... gross, did make some fun memories though, nowadays i think the trend is leaving stones, find a stone, leave a stone, i like that concept better because you get to paint a cool rock and collect little bits of art from people you dont know
could have been the best rick roll
Tom Des YESSS!
Hindsight is 20/20
Sort of like when he did it in this video: ruclips.net/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/видео.html
was thinking the same thing
I'm doing it
"Sorry I found a thing!"
“Congratulations”

i thought it would be a link to brian when he -was a pineapple- had a different hairstyle
It definitely crossed my mind.
HydraTek or Brian with French fries in his nose
-is this how i do the line shit- -wow im so excited i just figured this shit out-
Gibbypastrami -how do you do it-
Gibbypastrami -nvm-
It wasn't a link to a picture of Brian with french fries in his nose... I am disappoint.
I thought that too
I thous it was going to be Rick Ashley - Never Gonna Give You Up.
Joshua Astley. It's Astley.
Moola You are disappoint.
Get the pun " like geocaching but the STAKES are much higher" did you guys do that on purpose
The ones I have used to hide a house key for guests while I was at work was a fake sprinkler head. The head is on a spike and simply added to the lawn edge in the garden. Most people don't try pulling up sprinkler heads in the lawn to find the one not attached to the plumbing for the sprinkler system. It is left in place empty year around so it has all the dust and sun fade of the rest of the sprinklers.
Someone has to go to that spot and see if they planted another one in the same spot... GO!
This stuff is too easy, we need to go DEEPER
We'll get there. Have no fear.
The Modern Rogue Check out geocaching, want to talk about things hidden in plain sight all around you!
TheCptCoy go deeper (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Deepah!
that's what she said
"There's no crying in espionage!"
"Loyal Fans will enjoy this" as a secret double agent fan I also enjoyed it
Today at 5 in the morning I'm watching 2 grown men play Spy. What is my life...
Alex Whittington awesome, that's what.
You wanna know why? Because you are learning how to be a MODERN ROOOOOOOGUE!!!
Funny how close he was and didn't notice. But when you are focusing that hard on something specific, like you said, it's kind of hard to widen your vision, If that were me, my friends would have been face palming and laughing as well
totally!
Can you guys do a hairstyle tutorial for the Brian Brushwood Spike?
Iluzadude it's been done by Brian himself. search it.
Thanks for the hints i'll look at stuff when i go out now.
MODERN ROGUE! Love these dudes.
Thanks!
Brian uses icy veins? lol
Hearthstone, baby!
The Modern Rogue Thanks for responding, keep it up with the good videos, your channel is 10/10!
The Modern Rogue little fun fact: when Aldrich was caught and put against a lie detector, he was able to lie
Aldrich the devourer of gods?
Jozsua, that's because lie detectors just detect spikes in BPM. If you can stay calm and lie, then it'll show as true.
If you did a dead drop at a utility place that's marked with utility signs then you'd be able to blend in, get the mark to blend in, place a drop and then leave, the person that comes along would know what the sign is but to the vast majority of other people the mark would look the same as all the others. Seems like a great thing.
8:47 when hes playing hearthstone arena but doesnt know what card to pick
I thought it was like a big spike that they dropped people on as a form of execution in the medieval days. If they said dead drop USB I would've known lol
Valloreum Mee too! The thumbnail looked like a giant wooden stake
But the drop didn't contain a USB device, only a piece of paper.
Should do encrypting messages. And encrypting apps which prevent third parties reading your texts.
Good idea!
thats what i was thinking
Years ago, my dad found a drug dead drop. He used to travel through Vegas a lot for work, coming from our home in Utah the highway cuts through the top corner of Arizona and he'd always have a pit stop at the border, there's a exit of the highway that's just nothing it's a big dirt lot and he walked into the bushes to relieve himself and saw a duffle bag, he opened it and it was full of drugs. He zipped it back up and put it back where he found it. A few days later on his drive back the other way, it was replaced with a bag full of money.
Should have taken it
@@Braincain007 have you seen no country for old men?
"There's no crying in baseball" should have been written in the spike
I remember this was one of the first Modern Rogue videos I found, I can't believe I've been a subscriber for 4 years now.
you guys are seriously my new favorites and my heros !
Thanks for checking out the episodes!
Can't wait for the outtakes on this episode
This episode could really help me smuggling candy from my house to my friends house...
This could have been a perfect rick roll
Jonny 5 yay I'm not the only one who thought about it 😂
I just started watching this channel today and I'm already half way caught up with the episodes :)
I live in Austin still, and when i was a teen, i would longboard all along downtown and seeing exactly where they are and having memories of where i would skate is surreal.
What smart watch does he have?
pebble time steel.
The Modern Rogue Thankyou :)
Oh man I totally forgot about geocaching. Haven't gone out in a good 6 years, thanks for reminding me
7:12 Anyone *else* leaning towards the screen shouting "Behind you! Look behind you!"?
The Example Show XD, yall are some creative savages. Love this series!
I first thought that you were gonna talk about the hidden Dead Drop USB sticks that are cemented in many places around the world, there is a website much alike geocache for it too. Would be fun to see you guys finding some and checking them out, maybe put some files on there yourself
A cool one is to take one of those little magnetic key holders that slide open as you can put that on the underside of a lot of benches and stuff like that.
How much did the Spike cost? And where can you get it?
Nick S. well you can make one out of PVC me and my Hoodie brother pass scripts and flash drives this way
Nick S. look up ITS TACTICAL
Thanks guys! ;3
Someone is trying to sell weed
just imagin you trip over one randomly thats got like $50 of weed in it
lol mine now
( btw i dont do weed )
love the reference to the example show
You guys should look into Dead Drop USBs. they are really cool
we found some in austin, but found out they don't work.
The Modern Rogue Damn that sucks. it would of made an awesome vid
Dick Butt but viruses
John Ritchey what about a USB killer. That would be truly evil.
Dick Butt they have I think
This has officially replaced Scam School as my favorite RUclips channel
Rad. Tells your friends!
i didnt really like scam school but i love this
Netflix test show LOL! Nice throwback Jason XD
This is so cool. Has anyone ever tried to turn dead drop spikes like this into a scavenger hunt or history tour?
Agree with Yukl. Geocaching is basically a community of people leaving dead drops and clues for anybody who wants to hunt them. It's easy and free to get into if you have a smartphone, and sometimes they even have events that take you on cool little adventures.
You've mentioned geocaching in several videos now.i think it might be a good thing to cover here on modern Road as its own video
Agreed
So... any way that that thing can be used for public use? I kinda want to make the perfect treasure hunt.
Oneuppington it so can be used for a public use ... make it a game give out code to find first drop then get information to find others.
geocacheing. that's the whole premise. there are hundreds of millions of hidden things worldwide. get a free app like c:geo and try it out
Oneuppington geocaching
Agent 1: "What's the secret message say?"
Agent 2: "Never gonna give you up... never gonna let you down"
8:54 lmao icy veins "Arena Druid Tier Lists One Night In Karazhan" when Brian Brushwood plays hearthstone
Just hit rank 2 on wild!!
"it's a lot like geo caching, but the STAKES are much higher". I see what you may-or-may-not-have intentionally done there.
heh.
If that link on that paper was the link to the ad, I would call it the smoothest ad in 2017
snow crash and ready player one. 2 of my favorite books which heavily involve tech
This is my favorite episode of burn notice
Random useless note about aluminium: there's a way to pigment it pretty permanently.
The reason it doesn't take paint is the smooth surface layer of aluminium oxide that paints flake off of. The way they pigment aluminium surfaces is by anodizing: they etch into the aluminium to form a thicker aluminium oxide layer, and at the same time pigment this layer. Usually it's not the most resilient, but with some effort, the layer can be made really thick! And it's one of the hardest minerals, so it's not easy to damage if it's thick enough, and if the underlying alloy of aluminium allows little deformation. So yeah you can possibly hold it against the manufacturer that they didn't make the black coating more permanent, even though the ground environment which might have stone and granite pieces in it isn't the friendliest, so i'm not entirely certain.
wild!
Will there be any outtakes from this episode?(:
Netflix's example show used to be able to be accessed on the wii... Any idea where I can watch it now? god I loved it
"I drove that sucker right into the asphalt" HAHAJHHA
Awesome episode guys I like it
thanks!
Where did Jason get those glasses? They're awesome.
Amazon, I think?
Dude, I want more tradecraft episodes
nicely editted.
Where can I get Jason's glasses? They're super cool.
I would absolutely love it if Example Show became a Modern Rogue meme of sorts.
There's no crying in baseball!
That looks like a butplug.
jesus christ... what kind of butt do you have that you'd need something that sharp?
The Modern Rogue i don't know i watched some anal porn so them...
Nightmare yes yes i am XD
mrsniper12333 hi
Lol
I found something like this. There was an L near a brick wall where this is. The cap was open and the capsule is empty. Guess that was a good idea not to pick it ip and keep it.
Great video!
I love this show...
Digital dead drops are also good. Rip out moartar in a wall or cieling outside and slide in the usb thumb drive and then silicone it in place. Bam. ofcourse you would not connect a device directly to this that is traceable but something small like a burner phone is perfect.
Smooth, Brushwood. Smooth
Some where around 6:30, there's a tap on your shoulder. "What are you doing, comrade? Let me see your papers."
You passed the perfect opportunity for a Rick Roll...
This is dope.
Nice reference to the scamschool hidden message :D
Are they in San Antonio Texas??
This channel is ace just found it today factual as well as entertaining awesome
Where can I buy one of those spikes? Im betting it would make an epic geocache!
I love the glasses, Jason. Also, was there an explanation for the double upload between this and the main channel?
It's been a month, and we noticed that only about 20% of the Modern Rogue audience has transitioned over to the new channel, so we thought we'd remind everyone what they're missing.
You guys have been killing it on this channel. I'll have to share it on facebook or some shit.
thanks!
Thank you, sir!
whats the main channel?
Are you guys in Austin Texas?
yup
I know this video is old, but I made my own dead drop spike using sprinkler parts to it can remain semi above ground but is still semi camouflaged in urban areas for a scavenger hunt
0:32 Were you going for a slim John Goodman from The Big Lebowski? You're just missing the tan cargo vest and a 1911 and you're dead on.
Brian, I discovered a method like this using Crayola markers. All you need to do is pull the bottom cap off using your thumbnail and whip the ink blot out of the marker. You then use it like the spike, rolling up the note and put it in the marker. Then just replace the cap and deliver the message in a live drop.
You guys should do an episode on geocaching.
Modern dead drops are mostly USB drives stuck in walls
Yeah, but I didn't want to use cement or anything on someone's actual property. :/
Jason Murphy lol I know I just wasn't sure if that came up in the research for this it's still not the well known
Jason Murphy though there most likely was one in your area already
tradecraft is an umbrella term for a variety of skills that pertain to a given profession
I don't know why nobody has put a USB killer in there but it's good that we don't have those (it's a USB that generates tons of electricity that it fries the device from the inside without visible damage)
Jason ,yesterday I saw a beer bar called J.Murphy
Oooh. I must seek this out.
"Somebody wrote 'turtle'! Somebody likes turtles and they decided to write it down here!" 😂
hey modern rogue! Where did you get the aluminum spike?
store.itstactical.com/dead-drop-spike.html
Thanks man!
Sometime i wanna leave a random dead drop spike full of memes somewhere
where can i find out more about this stuff?
Carsten Ebbesen please leave
Now I will be suspicious of every abandoned Starbucks cup
RUclips unsubscribed me from you. missed a few videos. missed you guys.
glad you're back!
The Modern Rogue good to be back
At 4:20 what is the music in the background?
"Where You Do Belong" by Cullah
Brandt Hughes Thanks a ton
theres also a very popular site with thumb stick deadrops a video about that would be awsome
For example in fallout 4 the organization called the “railroad” that’s has a passcode of someone asking “Do you have a Geiger counter?” And the response is “Mine is in the shop” then the conversation will continue
I watched this before Hacking the System and now I'm back to finally understand what that video was.
Jason, where are those shirts from?
I think I got that one (and the pants!) at a vintage store.
always good finds at those places. very cool
8:48 Brian plays hearthstone! Confirmed!
+BaconezBlue hit rank 2 this month!
Do you something related to the movie Kingsmen
