The light beckons from the end of the tunnel, caterpillars are busting out of their gooey cocoons as moths and butterflies, and we are starting to flutter and barrel roll our way back out into the world. As we emerge and congregate, how cool would it be to identify our fellow Rogues at a glance? Surgical grade masks with a single golden-yellow ear strap are a cheeky, subtle way to do just that! Read more about them at www.scamstuff.com/products/modern-rogue-masks. We’re giving away packs of Modern Rogue masks to TWO winners of this week’s free giveaway. Enter for free at gimme.scamstuff.com for a chance to win (no purchase necessary, giveaway ends 6/3/2021). Congrats to the winners of last week's Extra Credit DVDs giveaway: Avery Erwin, Kit Kinney, William Williamson, Michael Bertels, Jeremiah Frye, Steven Paige, and Liam Ryan (we will contact you via email within the next two weeks.)
Damnit, Bryan cut his hair
Please do one on how to be a man in today's world
“Jason and Corey hide a geocache and don’t give Brian the coordinates.”
"Don't flip over rocks, there's a lot of snakes around here" Walks through the woods in flip flops, to find new flip flops........
Brian has worn those flip flops around flammables and explosives. Snakes are the least of his foot worries.
I mean Australians wear thongs and there's worse snakes there than Texas.
Right, who in their right mind would wear sandals (or any non-closed toe shoes) in the woods?
I’m glad to see Brian is making questionable hair choices again.
By questionable you mean rad?
Every questionable choice Brian or Jason makes on this shoe is the right one.
Legends never die
Don't you just love how Jason is always sending Brian off on wild goose chases? Making him ransack a hotel room for fake money, making him physically debug the warehouse, a three episode series on the Rogue's Gauntlet. And now we're digging for buried treasure. This is one of the best running gags in the series.
"This is the best day of my life!"
Questions that must be asked Brian aren't you married and don't you have children?
He didn't stutter
found them under a fake rock as well :p
Well he didn't find his wife or children in a camouflaged barrel in the woods o.o
@@grayeaglej yet
@@Gamefreak8112 Oh Noh O.O
Love that Brian was so excited by this whole scenario, just love the channel as a whole
"We left a surprise for you in the woods, Brian. You have to go find it."
Beautifully delivered! 😁
I’m not sure what’s going on I just got here but the fake rock was epic
aaaaah, my modern rogue fix, ... I can ward of the crazy voices in my head for a few more days....
You hear them too?
@@maxb3248 you know it
I'd get that checked out man
Someone needs a joint
(demonic voice) "roooollll baaaaack theeeee iiiiinnnnnnjuuuuuurrrrryyyyyy cooooouuuuunnnnnnteeeerrrr brrrrrrraaaaaannnnnndt"
Corey’s bridge four shirt is on point!
Thanks Gancho
I didn't even notice! Journey before destination!
Strength before weakness.
Life before death my bros
So when the inevitable nuclear blast survival episode comes around, are they going to name their test rig "The Fourth Fridge"?
Y’all should do rogue 24 hour ruffing it in the woods using all the skills you’ve been learning
I'd love them to do a army style 24 hour survival and evasion course.
@@chrisjb241 that would be very entertaining 😂
They would die.
The fact that Brian is so giddy and appreciated the effort made me genuinely happy.
Aww, Brian's excitement was way more adorable than I could have expected
this is just, an enrichment activity for brian 🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like portal, but with commentary of some geeky modern rogue nerds lol
He's actually in containment; they film the videos to keep him occupied so he doesn't realize he's a reality bender.
Brain: “We have lots of snakes”
Also Brian: Flip Flops
Its a Texan thing.
@@grayeaglej I live like 2 hours from MR HQ and I wouldn't be caught dead in flip flops around snakes dude! Work boots all the way.
@@leavemealone930 I didn't say it was a SMART Texan thing, but I was born in Ft Worth before Dallas consumed it, and also lived in Hamilton, Brian, College Station, and Midland. Flip Flops or Sandals in the scrub are far more common than you might think. O.o
I myself prefer boots as well though, but not because of snakes.
I got unreasonably excited about Cory's Bridge Four shirt. Journey before destination, my friend.
Thanks Gancho
Same! My wife was so confused.
Lets give a warm welcome to Diggable Ground, bringing you that diggable sound, with their debut album "Lets get down to earth baby"
10 on Mohs
Hoes before ho's
Shovel shuffle
Hung like a horst
Taken for granite
Rock em down
and finally... their cover of wonderwall
Don’t forget that number one hit that topped the charts for 6 weeks “We’re stoned and alone.”
@@jetnut89 Or their criminally underrated single, Let's Do It On The Water Table.
You should hear their live cover of Booker T's WCW entrance theme...
@@B_Skizzle i was thinking a waterr table one but wasnt sure what to say about it, that is a wonderful addition
I loved the knock-off Breath of the Wild piano jingle when Brian realised what he found
Bridge Four! Life before Death, brother.
Thanks Gancho
You guys should do an episode on tracking and counter-tracking. Maybe one day use those in another hide and seek/scavenger hunt episode.
I love how they realize that they didn't put the stuff in after they hid it really well 😂
I love that we went from technique discussion and possible scenarios of applying the content as openers to just "Hey Brian, we messed with you" and then nothing else.
12:10 Ah, yes! The lost treasure of the hippie commune.
3:16 A subaquatic dead drop sounds like a good episode
Well, some manner of waterproof container that’s positively buoyant secured by a chain to a cinder block or two. Then put the whole thing in a container filled with salt and mist in water until you’ve effectively made a giant salt lick. Make sure to add either a radio beacon or mark the location on a map when you fling it into the water. After a couple days the salt will dissolve and allow the container to float up on the chain like a sea mine.
"I found someone's old shrooms stash!! Gross!!"
*Proceeds to touch face and wipe nose*
I love the Bridge Four shirt.
Life before death
Thanks Gancho
Dude, a Tubografx16 stash would be damn nice, but I love how excited Brian gets for a scavenger hunt, regardless of the booty.
I love these types of videos you guys do when you get Brian to hunt something down. It's fun to watch cause it's a proof on concept that Brian who walks those paths routinely enough wasn't able to tell it was there until he found it and he knew to actively search, like if someone was just walking by and wasn't searching for it, it might as well be invisible.
ok, now I'm starting to suspect you guys have fun doing this stuff
The continuity breaks are amazing!!
0:48 they're stoned and this whole episode is about where to hide their stash
And he ends up finding someone else’s stash instead
Jason and Corey did great with the camouflage! Great episode guys!
Damn I'm here early and I'm so excited. Why..... BECAUSE IM A MODERN ROGUE!
Honestly, you guys are my fav. Keep up the amazing work.
I would love to see this turned into a giant community thing. Kind of like a geocache Where there’s some sort of tracking app for each of the cache’s and members of the community hide them others find it and it could be a take one leave one deal
Brian walking those trails in flip flops is stressing me out
...and apparently he does it constantly and daily, dude is crazy!
@@TheRealAlpha2 absolute mad lad
@@TheRealAlpha2 well in Texas there are really only two forms of "appropriate" footwear, either boots or flip flops. And boots are a bit of a hassle
Visiting Modern Roque HQ is definitely on my bucket list
Tubs like that are also used for kayaking when needing to transport items without them getting wet
I love the references to other things they guys are interested in. Hearthstone, d&d, etc
so yeah ,let me know when that 2022 modern rogue calendar is in the shop
Wait, is that a Bridge Four shirt Corey's wearing!? Journey before Destination, my man!
I noticed that shirt SO FAST... My wife was like "what? What's that?"
I have that exact hammock setup and those ropes do degrade. You may wish to treat them with some sort of weatherproofing spray.
Nice shirt Corey! Life before death, radiant!
this is the most elegant merch reveal in history
Yes brian it is cute that u hav named all these points in ur backyard
Make the calendar. Seriously. I want one for Christmas.
Sexy pickaxe Santa ftw
@@cranfill Absolutely. And maybe something with the JSW apron and a MAPP torch... aaaaand now I'm picturing Brian with pigtails and a JSW cheerleader outfit. What have I done?
I can't believe I just watched a 20 minute merch plug. and enjoyed it.
I wanted to comment this eariler but you guys should try Geocaching! It's a LOT like the treasure hunting/ dead drop episodes you've done and there's a whole hidden community dedicated to it!
Very classy episode.
I kinda forget how close I live next to them; them talking about the freeze brought it back lol.
The sheer heartbreak when Brian says "This episode isn't about Hearthstone at all, is it?..."
I'm glad to see Cory is slowly but surely pulled down to Murphy and Brian's level
good editing on this one
I love these types of videos :D
"you know we got a lot of snakes right?"
*is wearing thongs in the bush*
Don’t knock the flops
@@dakotalopez2923 they need to do an episode where they add steel toes to a pair
The infamous "prepper stash" to be "planted" at convenient spots along a bug out route or at hidden camp sites along a patrol route, hunting loop, etc to resupply from so you can bug out lighter and faster, or to be resupplied from the home base so you don't have to have your lead team constantly hoofing back to base from their wide perimeter.
Like everything else in life, normally you want to go deeper - and you have to work at it to get really deep - so that no bulge is still protruding from the hole. Then, your camo exists only to hold place until nature herself finishes the work and only those who know where it lies could ever hope to find it.
Also, if you use 55g (or 85g "salvage barrels"), you just need a bit of tarp to use it as a reasonable and very discrete shelter (legs out) for a night. Cut the bottom off one and weld it to another to make a 110g double stack that you can bury, store supply in, use as shelter, and have something deep enough to lay flat in (makes a decent spider hole for sniping).
is it just me or has anyone made the connection of Brushwood and Murphey being like Freiburger and Finnegan?
14:10 - This must be like Brian when he was a kid... Excitableness: *WITNESSED* 🤣
I'm pretty sure they're makeup/acne/face cleanser wipes, but I love how excited Brian gets about a potential shroom stash
13:15 Plot twist better than any M. Night Shyamalan movie I've seen so far
I love Corey's Bridge Four Shirt
And again daddy Cory do all the hard work :D
Love you guys!
this really could be made so much more interestingly, if the hiding was done 1-2 weeks beforehand. to give the environment a chance to resettle, maybe wait for a rainstorm to come through. to see just how hard it would be to find if it was an expertly hidden cache. however, you guys are on a schedule, so I understand that sometimes you just need to get the video out. love this channel, and all your guys videos.
that "ponytail" makes me laugh and cry at the same time. it is so sad. I feel like I should be getting a 88 Ferrari sold to me by a guy in a white sport coat while on Quaaludes.
Wait, is it you or the salesman who are on Quaaludes in this scenario? Or both?
@@bend1483 Oh, definitely both.
@@B_Skizzle yes both.
Imagine if they found a treasure that they didnt plant.
The shrooms lol
Was this one giant and elaborate ad for MR flip flops? Brilliant if so
Mullet Brian is my favourite Smash Bros fighter
this was amazing
Easter must have been Brian's favorite holiday. When he was a kid.
That's a spill kit barrel. Typically used for hazmat spills.
This is one of the best advertisments I have ever seen for flip flops lol.
thats a good idea for merch modern rouge sexy calendar
12:48 if B goes past that, it's sour!! 😁👍
you guys should make a hidden emergency stash by hiding a metal drum like the one in this video, but line the inside with firebrick so if there is a forest/b(r)ush(wood) fire or just a normal fire on your property, you can have a secret stash of D&D dice and JackLinks. it also works with a paint can. fire proof, water proof, life proof
Brian is the only person I know who'd trek into the woods in sandals/flip flops
Can't get enough Brian in flipflops
Not sure if you fellas read comments but: MURPHY! Any news on Occultex book 2? I finished Killer Candy within the first couple days of release and I am dying for book 2!
Soonish, I think.
Now Brian just needs signs on the trail for all the names he's come up with
Walking through the woods at Modern Rogue HQ it somewhat looks like a superfund site.
What do you say we plan a clean up day there?
Now I have all the pieces!
Having played the TTRPG The Morrow Project, I'm a bit bummed that you couldn't find (or fake) a USGS survey marker.
Corey looks so awesome
Brian is just an adult sized child and it wonderful
8:56 He came in like a wrecking balllllllll.
Raycons are p00p!
I'm freeking out that Corey is wearing a Bridge 4 t-shirt
I feel like Brian and Jason should start competing with each other by hiding stuff in the woods and see who finds each other’s stuff first.
Seeing Jason on that hammock I get the impression that Brian would just win every time. 😆
Jason: Hoo boy, I'm beat, you win again Bushwood!
Brian: ...You were gone for 30 seconds.
Gotta love Brian's Gordon Freeman drip
Ok Brian. Youve mentioned Turbo Grafx 16 a bunch....why not give some love to the systems best game, Devil's Crush!
Budget mythbusters, i like 👌🤣
You know we have many snakes, says the guy in flip flops in the wood.
its texas man, its part of the culture
Haha FOOLS! Now I can find all your loot!
Oh to be so happy. Giddy even.
Safe to say he would never have found it if not for the hints.
Woah! No brushwood mullet!?
15:21 This is the best laugh ever.
"Are you prospecting again" with the accusatory tone of a parent in a 90s drug psa told me right away this was gonna be a good episode
Is the treasure delicious Kraft Mayonnaise?
