Manual Blast is a great n all but......I think I get 5:42. the part where he yells "I will not be replaced" and then he just goes into a fit of rage. Scorched is basically just trying to save himself. but fails and just....breaks down as the glitched vocals accompany him and bf being his last encounter with anyone. and the part where one of the glitch vocals breaks out at 6:04 makes scorched sound like he's crying. crying out for help or for anyone, but no one hears his cries. and he just prepares for his fate. with him yelling "NO!" at the end. Manual Blast feels like the proper send-off of 2.5/3.0. with scorched having vocals of various horror hogs. hell, I wish this was in the mod. because it would've been epic. coming back to this with everything going down. an EXE and Hog/Scorched. it's obvious that Scorched (in terms of "faker form and true form) solos EXE. not really fair to compare both when EXE doesn't have a single ounce of lore. but I digress, Both Hedge and Manual Blast remains one of my fave mod songs and Hoggus and Scorched remain as one of my fave "horror hogs?"
It just sounds like scorched is both burning mad and extremely despaired. It sounds like he’s so angry and pent up and is on the edge of breaking throughout the whole song, especially in the second half. 5:07 is a perfect example of it
The Vocals... The Instrumental... The Feeling of the song in general... Its all amazing, just wow. First it was Legacy, now this You are just so good at making music, seriously incredible job Especially the beginning and the end! The beginning feels so fun and bouncy in a way, and the instrumental there is GREAT, truly feels like a stage from sonic! (Major props to armydillo!) And the end truly feels like everything is falling apart in literally the best way possible, the feeling of a saddening finale that is done perfectly. Bravo man, just bravo!
I love that Hog and Scorched both have an air of tragedy to them alongside the terror. Hog is hiding a dark side in him, but it's not even something that's his fault or something he could ever hope to control. He's like Sonic himself in that he's just out to have an adventure and look cool doing it. He has his own little world that he wants to explore and be a part of, but Scorched's looming influence means he can hardly ever be sure it'll last. His segment of the song feels like a perfect underscore to that since it sounds bouncy and happy, but uses Labyrinth Zone as a basis as if to highlight that something distressing is beneath the surface. Scorched IS that dark side lying in wait, but apparently he isn't exactly pleased to be like this either. Jack said on his twitter that Scorched is the remains of a universal shift that fused two realities together. The one that lost out was one where Sonic existed proper. Scorched is the _original Sonic_ fighting to make his mark on the world again and as much as he'd like to leave Hog alone, he can't stand the idea of being replaced, and the corruption from his data being overwritten has turned that anger and fear into violence, and it feels like his segment of the song breaking down and fizzling out is meant to imply that him busting the cartridge in the story written for the two wasn't entirely intended. He can barely even control his hatred anymore.

This song is amazing. The final boss vibes make me feel empowered. My only criticism I have is that his vocals in the 2nd phase aren't really clear so it's hard to hear when he changes tone and when I'm not wearing earphones he sounds a bit of a mess. But after listening it to it properly, it started to grow on me. Also i really just wish that the 1st and 2nd phase were different songs cause their both awesome and i wanna hear more of the first one.

I'm pretty sure scorched is supposed to be some sort of glitch (in a way) so it makes sense as to why it sounds all distorted and scratchy. I get what you mean but if you aren't listening to this sort of thing with headphones then you're doing it wrong.

This song needs to make its comeback, It’s sad to see hog and scorched die off when they were great characters with cool lore. Might even be considered underrated because it’s not used as much anymore. Like you only see a few remixes and maybe like a single song that isn’t manual blast.
I can't find the word to describe this song but if I had to it would be simply EPIC The first part being sung by the normal Hog, a song with happy and fun tones (very good work by Armydillo on that part), so that after that minute of tranquility Hog becomes Scorched and the song moves on to a more serious tone, letting you know that Scorched is dangerous, as the song progresses it changes tone a little bit as it was a tone of danger and worry at first, then it moves to almost a tone of hope, and that makes it even better, Scorched begins to glitching and there, at least for me, it sounds as if Scorched wants to escape from his suffering on that console, which just wants to be free, and the song ends with an almost relaxing tone to end with a scream from Scorched and end VERY EPIC. My most sincere congratulations churgney gurgney, I am really a fan of your songs and the great work you do is amazing, keep it up and I really hope that more people admire what you do!

@MilVell6 those are some good songs, though i'm more triple trouble, perdition, and markov right now; triple trouble has been my favorite song since it existed and it still lives up to it. Recent songs have been getting better and better but triple trouble has been around for over half a year and i can still keep listening to it.
I love this song, that bouncy beginning with the Labyrinth Zone bass and amazing brass chords and great harmonisation between Hog and BF- well done to Armydillo on that front! I love how the tension rises when he enters the Scorched form- the melodies are just so well done, and the instrumental is great in aiding that climactic feel, especially with its beat. Once again, the harmonisation is top-notch, but there's more emphasis on that back-and-forth, making it feel even more dramatic. I love the key change in the last minute, really seals that tension as it reaches its peak. If anything, the second part does what I wished Black Sun would do better. The way tone is done here is a lot cleaner, especially considering Black Sun only gave itself just under 3 minutes for the many different tones it has, making the timbre feel a bit muddy as it'd try so much in so little. Reserving a whole minute for that dramatic key change instead of making it a single verse really makes me appreciate it more, and how it portrays the tense encounter. Not that I dislike Black Sun; I really enjoy it, but I think the execution is cleaner here. Overall, amazing job on this! Your style lends itself into making really enjoyable songs, especially with the choice of instrumentation!

I think it would be really cool that if in the mod, Scorched would call out on Hog for ruining his life. Something like "You... You ruined my life... invaded my world... And killed my friends. I WILL END YOU, FAKER." Or, "FINE, IF I CAN'T HAVE MY REALM, NOBODY CAN" Before the very glitchy "I WILL NOT BE REPLACED" line. That would easily make that the dopest song in this mod.

I love how the tension rises when he enters the Scorched form- the melodies are just so well done, and the instrumental is great in aiding that climactic feel, especially with its beat. Once again, the harmonisation is top-notch, but there's more emphasis on that back-and-forth, making it feel even more dramatic. I love the key change in the last minute, really seals that tension as it reaches its peak.
If anything, the second part does what I wished Black Sun would do better. The way tone is done here is a lot cleaner, especially considering Black Sun only gave itself just under 3 minutes for the many different tones it has, making the timbre feel a bit muddy as it'd try so much in so little. Reserving a whole minute for that dramatic key change instead of making it a single verse really makes me appreciate it more, and how it portrays the tense encounter. Not that I dislike Black Sun; I really enjoy it, but I think the execution is cleaner here.
Overall, amazing job on this! Your style lends itself into making really enjoyable songs, especially with the choice of instrumentation!
